2JZ BMW Swap Build Ep. 19 - Intercooler Piping, Fabrication & Mounting
With the exhaust done, I begin the air intake side of things. Fabricating custom intercooler piping and finding a mounting solution for the intercooler itself. I think it all turned out pretty well. Please do me a favor and LIKE, COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE. It'd really help me out. I promise I am close to getting this thin fired. Pretty much everything is sorted and the main thing left to do is wire the emu up and integrate it with the car. Thanks for watching. See Ya!

Finishing up a few things with the build, focusing on the exhaust in this one. Gave it a shot a fabbing up a custom exhaust, from downpipe to wastegate recirculation and having it all mate up with the existing axle back setup on the car. Let’s just say I got a lot of welding practice. As always, please, Like, Comment & Subscribe. Thanks for checking it out.

    Wassup Will, I appreciate you for making this video. I did my cam swap on my 2011 Camaro M6 SS. I installed the Texas speed stage 2 N/A cam last December following your vid.💪🏽 I was thinking of going boost down the road in a few years and ive been looking at the TSP stage 3 supercharger cam like your friend’s. How’s the drivability on that thing far as cruising speeds in overdrive gears? I know the cam I got now is a lil shaky down low.

      @@byrdcity6490 I’m glad you were able to get it done and even better if this was able to help. The drivability on the TSP cam even being stage 3 is great. Cruise is just like a stock cam. Hey man Ik im kinda late to this vid but 1. Great video I loved how much you broke everything down and explained along the way very helpful for someone who hasn’t even gone this in depth with taking things in their engine apart and adding new parts. 2 I was wondering if your buddy had to get a new/stonger torque converter with this being a stage 3 cam? I have a 5th gen Camaro too but it’s an automatic with the L99 engine and I was looking to do a stage 2 cam in mine. Ive been leaning towards a GPI ss2 vvt cam and have also considered the TSP stage 2 cam just haven’t decided which one I want yet but from all the forums I’ve read up on at least on the GPI cam I heard some people talking about how the car would push through the breaks some if you weren’t pressing on them hard enough. Was just curious if a new torque converter was something I needed to invest in also whenever I do finally put a different cam in it?

    • @GetItAtWiLL
      @GetItAtWiLL Před 3 měsíci

      No this is a 6 speed so no torque converter here. My SS has the stage 1 on the stock converter no issues and I think i could’ve gotten away with the stock converter on the Texas speed stage 2 as well with a good tune. But of course a converter would help bring out the performance

    Do you have to change the crank bolt or can you use the stock one

      Stock bolt works. I bought a new OEM one to use.

    When you start it there sound on valve train or what that sound

    • @GetItAtWiLL
      @GetItAtWiLL Před rokem

      There is increased valve train noise with the higher pressure springs and headers. That with the oil having to circulate to the heads and get everything lubed. It’s normal and subsides. It was perfectly fine.

    • @GetItAtWiLL
      @GetItAtWiLL Před rokem

      First off thanks a ton. I appreciate the view and as for the gaskets they were OEM GM gaskets. I believe part number is #28-12688943. Or that’s what it’s listed as in Texas Speeds site. Just search the numbers in there. I know TSP has their own head gasket too that should be the same as the OEM for like $10 cheaper too.
