Quick tip: When you don't own a lathe to machine down components (such as your crank bolt), you want something that can provide a constant rotational speed while you use your grinder. The easiest garage item to do this would be a drill. Take a socket driver, insert it into the drill, and put the proper socket on the driver. Mount the drill upside down (so the socket doesn't fall off) into a vice with scrap wood. Turn on the drill, then use your grinder to remove the necessary material. This is one of the easiest ways to make a lathe when you don't have one.

TorontoSupraMan TDC was already set prior to removing it. Also the crank has a “key” engraved in it so Damper can only go on one way. ATI damper alao has markings on the shell. And the 60 degrees is an aproximate number... i was just following the instructions and pictures

have you had to take the damper off? on the fb groups, people say to hone it out but you didnt on your install, so i was curious if you had any issues removing it. im planning on getting one soon

excellent video - did you just manually set the ati damper to TDC by looking at it then torquing it down? Or is there a dowel pin that lines up so that it sits how it's supposed to? I have a stock GE motor with AC and PS so I'll have to mount mine with a custom bracket for the hall sensor. I'll probably just weld (or bolt if possible) the 36-1 trigger wheel to the stock GE crank pulley in front.
Love my spec billet steel fw with 2.5 clutch assy. Bust out another thousand is what I always say. Hey my brother took a quick vid of me pulling off in my Supra I uploaded it...
I did hone my ati damper. I used a piece of sandpaper And dowel and spun the damper. I only honed it until the coating thinned you could tell it was even by looking at the coating as soon as it was gone I installed it. Used anti-seize circa 2009 I resealed the engine during covid didn’t have a problem pulling it off and on...

No power steering? What’s the plan cause supra steering is heavy. When my power steering rack was failing it was a pain to turn in the 7m?
TorontoBuilder12345 i was driving it without power steering since day one.. it wasnt bad 🤷🏻♂️
I think "since day one" is the key there. If you drive these cars with and without power steering you'd definitely want to keep it if you're going to be driving it a lot, especially when parking and slow speed maneuvering. If you've never had it tho then you won't know what you're missing so it's all good
danwil77 i have a lexus sc400 which might be just as heavy if not more with power steering.. 🤷🏻♂️
The ATI installer bolt didn't fit in my crankshaft for the 7MGE.

Dude do you know if Fornari sells just that lower crank sensor bracket for the hall sensor/trigger setup? I dont have facebook so i can't access his page.

@@-LFATV Haha well i have everything in the garage but I was going to rig up a mount for the crank hall sensor. After seeing this and how nice that bracket works I feel like this would be a better route. If he can just sell me that bracket/mount that would be sweet. Ill have to use the wifes facebook and get his contact info to see if he has them for sale.

Mechman doesn't make one for 7M. I have the Suprastore 140amp. MR2 one is a good option too.
@@-LFATV well honestly im in the same boat as u bro...mine isn't finish yet. So all i can say is everything bolted up fine to the drop down bracket...cause i had a different one that was an upgrade for the 7m but it didnt line up with the dropdown bracket
