You must've gotten one of the lucky ATI dampers. They are notorious for being a hair too tight on the snout. Almost to the level of pulling the threads out of crank snout if using a bolt to sink it down. I use a damper installer because I'm too scared to chance it with the bolt.

Sorry I'm late to the party dealing with a health issue, I know exactly what you mean Faye, in terms of something that should be easy turns out to be more work. I bought a 96' Dodge Ram 1500 reg cab 360 V8 Magnum, from a lady who knew nothing about automotive care but took it to a friend who said he was a mechanic, and I've owned this truck now for about 5 years and during that time I've found really sloppy work, I do not believe her friend was a real mechanic. So it had these really cool aggressive looking projection head lights that well were wearing out, so I decided to order the original OEM headlights you know old school original look. So this is probably a 5 to maybe 10 min job 5 min or less for each headlight removal and install, but as I removed the first old headlight I saw a pretty odd wire job lol, I was like WTH, the "Mechanic" had twisted the wires together using a electrical twist cap, you know the kind used for houses lol, so I had to get me electrical and wiring kit out to do a proper install of the new headlights. Okay so it didn't add a huge amount of time but it did add more time than I was expecting. And it was aggravating because now I have to clean up a mess from the previous guy. I did get them in and wiring done correctly all went in and the truck looks pretty cool. Two summers ago I did a complete engine overhaul lots of cleaning and parts replaced, I found things that were glued in place like the H and L pressure return lines that are fasten in with a bolt on top of the AC compressor, I didn't know this so when I broke loose the bracket on top the glue let loose and I accidentally destroyed the planet, but not my fault didn't know the fake mechanic used glue as both a hold down and gasket. This poor truck. Anyway new AC system new radiator an cooling system all flushed out, water pump, upper and lower hoses on coolant all new timing chain, head and valve gaskets I did the WHORX!!! LOL slow rebuild as I had to wait on parts, finally got it all back together started it up sounded great, I was so proud, and then I put it in reverse it worked but then when I put it into drive more accelerator was needed to get it going than usual, yup the transmission died, all that engine work it took a long time for me between parts and being partially disabled, only to have that happen. I knew it was starting to go with no engagement of 1st or 2nd gears and slips in 3rd and 4th gears. So I think I'll rebuild the transmission this summer, I have it's repair and rebuild book so it should be interesting 🤔, and if it don't work which it does that now I've lost nothing but gained experience. If I were able to have a CZcams channel I'd film it's rebuild. For now I have a Kia soul 2011 that needs a timing belt, water pump, and camshaft oil seal replacement along with a few pulleys and such. It's a daily driver and takes priority. Okay off my soup box tried to make this short but if you know me I don't usually lol. Oh well just adding up those YT comments points. Be well and be safe to you Faye and Danny!!!! Love this build series and can't wait to see that beautiful Pixie installed and running!!
