    glad your back
    1. I don't really want an re5 remake cause it's not that bad aside from some issues in some areas
    2. will you talk about the new silent hill 2 remake combat trailer ?

      They can improve on somethings really like adding more horror or having a night/day cycle

      @Shweelan  Před 6 měsíci +2

      Probably not, honestly. There's not really much I can add to the discussion besides saying Bloober Team doesn't seem to get the original SH2 and the remake is probably gonna screw up the tone and story of the original, and everyone's been saying that for months on end.

    Even though there’s exactly zero chance of Capcom remaking Dino Crisis and other old games do you think you’d ever consider making videos talking about what you’d want them to do with the story and gameplay for any purely hypothetical remakes?

  • @jessemelancholy
    @jessemelancholy Před 6 měsíci +1

    Some people have been talking about another re1 remake in the more contemporary remake style. I think it’s another possible path they may take, yet I personally wouldn’t really like them doing that

    • @Shweelan
      @Shweelan  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Capcom have mentioned before they're not touching RE1 again because they believe the RE1 remake is good enough as it is. There's absolutely nothing they could do to improve on the RE1 remake besides removing the fixed camera angles and giving it the RE4 control scheme, which just isn't worth the 100+ million dollars it'd cost to accurately redevelop RE1 with all of its contents, campaigns, and different character moments intact. The RE2 remake ran up an insane budget of nearly 100+ million, and they had to cut entire areas, boss fights, gameplay elements, and campaign elements from it to keep it from crossing that 100 million threshold.
      They started the remakes with RE2 because it needed the fresher coat of paint and went from there, and if they were going to remake RE1 again, I firmly believe they'd have started with it instead of jumping straight to 2. Personally, I don't expect Capcom to consider remaking RE1 ever again at this point.

    Too bad Capcom doesn’t care about Dino Crisis. Remakes of 1/2 in the style of the new Resident Evils would probably revitalize the franchise. Then they could make a proper sequel completely ignores the third game and goes with their original plan for it to take place in a ruined city that’s being overrun by dinosaurs. Sadly, this won’t happen. Thankfully, there’s various Dino Crisis inspired games that have varying degrees of success/quality.

    • @Shweelan
      @Shweelan  Před 6 měsíci +1

      They're not gonna touch Dino Crisis because there isn't enough money in the franchise historically. The entire franchise has sold something around 4 million units in total across three games, which definitely isn't enough to warrant these 100 million dollar, 1000+ developer team remakes they've been doing recently. The highest-selling DC game sold half a million units less than Code Veronica did, and Code Veronica is a game Capcom pretends doesn't exist nowadays, so there's no way in hell they're touching Dino Crisis.

      @@Shweelan Unfortunately, people dont want to face the truth. Heck, even RE outbreak wont get a remake. Why? Outbreak File 2 didnt even reach 1 million copies sold.

    • @shreksnow1918
      @shreksnow1918 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @Shweelan Yeah, it is really unfortunate that the chances of them ever revisiting Dino Crisis are about as close to zero as you can get without it actually being zero. At least we have a bunch of spiritual successors (unfortunately, those have a pretty considerable range in quality). The new Resident Evil formula mixed with the new mechanics Dino Crisis brought would be a great combination. Building on what you’re saying about how it sadly won’t happen, games are now a lot more expensive to make, so the chances of them doing something risky like resurrecting and old ip that didn’t do very well are even lower. It’s a shame we can’t get that.

  • @budafuka
    @budafuka Před 6 měsíci

    There's no way they have 5 RE games currently in development. Unless they're outsourcing some of the titles, they've got way too much on their plate with a mainline RE game, a REmake, new MH, Pragmata (unless it's abandoned), whatever else Itsuno's gonna cook after DD2 wraps up, SF6 updates. And good to see you back.

    • @Shweelan
      @Shweelan  Před 6 měsíci +3

      Honestly, 'development' is a pretty nebulous term that can mean a lot of things. It could mean 5 alpha builds concurrently being developed, and it could mean three guys and a whiteboard in one of the writer's rooms trying to come up with concepts. I know Remedy is currently developing 5 projects by themselves, and they're nowhere near as big as Capcom is, so it's not an impossibility for the RE branch of Capcom that's been stated to be made up of literally thousands of employees is getting split up to work on 5 projects at different stages in production.

    • @budafuka
      @budafuka Před 6 měsíci

      @Shweelan Yeah, I can see maybe 3 in very early concept. But I also can't see modern Capcom trying to saturate the market with multiple spinoff RE's when those terrible multi-player games they bundled got blasted, and both RE8 and RE3make got mixed receptions. If this were 90's-early 00's Capcom, this would be believable. I hope we get another Revelations someday, though.

      Lmao bro, Re 1, Re 2, Re 3, Code Veronica, Re 1 Remake, Re Zero have been made from 1996 to 2002.
      Capcom isnt new to creating multiple RE games. Now they have the money they can create 6 RE games at once.

  • @jackjax7921
    @jackjax7921 Před 6 měsíci

    Bro, Capcom can easily fix Re 6 with a remake. Imagine they only have 3 years to made that game and still the larger RE game to date. If it had the pacing and level design of RE 4 remake we are going to have the best 3rd person shooter of all time while keeping Re 6 mechanics.

  • @RexVergstrong

    God, I hope they fucking stop with the remakes.

    • @Shweelan
      @Shweelan  Před 6 měsíci +1

      That's a false hope to have, unfortunately. The RE remakes have been some of the highest-selling and most-critically acclaimed things Capcom have done since the franchise's inception, and they're a license for the company to print money. They're not gonna stop until people stop buying them.
