      Who do you think it is? It is odd to see dislikes so fast on a video, first thought I had was 'Sony or Fuji fanboys' - nothing more.

    • @kenlee697
      @kenlee697 Před 5 lety +5

      @@Cagey7531 Let me guess. A normal Sony or Fuji fanboy wouldn't know when Panasonic is announcing the camera so won't be able to dislike so quickly.
      So if someone dislikes so fast, he knows when the video is going to be released, it means he knows the embargo time. So it's a huge hint who he is.
      But he's not very smart anyway, CZcams Dislike wouldn't affect Richard's video popularity. It only increases his video's watch count LOL

    Very helpful. Although the camera is now a couple years old. A Headphone jack + mic jack + 4K 30/24fps + Panasonic + Leica Glass + Image Stabilization = this might be my next camera. I had the panasonic FZ1000 and loved it but it had some issues within 5 years of having it where now it just automatically cycles thru the menu without even touching it. I had it sent it and repaired once already so looks like its at its end of lifetime so this might be the next camera I go with. I been shooting with Canon EF since the Pany 1000 started to have a brain of its own. So with an EF to Micro 3/4s adapter I may go this route for documentary work and music videos work I do. Thanks!

    Great overview, thanks Richard!
    If I might ask: The G85 has a feature called "teleconverter"... where it crops 2x more and gives you double the reach. However, that feature does only work in FullHD, not in 4k.
    (The GH5 has it too, there it also works on 4k).
    Do you know if the G95 does have that feature as well and if it works also only in FullHD or if it works also in 4k?
    Thanks a lot

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Theo, g90/91/95 has a 1.26x 4k crop while the g80/85 has a 1.18x 4k crop. So the g90 is a bit higher in number but the difference is quite small.

    Brilliant Richard! I gave a like after immediately after reading your pinned comment! Question. In your autofocus test between the 85/95 were you shooting in 1080 or 4K? And do you think the autofocus is much better in the g85 in 1080? Do you notice less wobble? I would love the video autofocus to be as good as the G9’s with latest firmware! Thanks buddy!

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you Ben! I haven't done much comparison test in 1080p mode to be honest so can't really answer your question. in 4K mode, definitely less wobble from G95. The G9/Gh5 does have a much more powerful processor so i kind of expect those flagship still performs better with the latest firmware.

      @BenFox01 Před 4 lety

      Richard Wong Thanks Rich! OK that’s good to know. I’m sure 1080 must be even better... G85 has been my baby for so long I also own (and love) the G9’s but it’s too big for vlogging. Do you find the bigger size and weight an issue with the G95? Long story short I recently bought an E-M5 mk3 but honestly the preamps aren’t good. And the 1080 is no Panasoni.! So now considering the 95 as my vlog cam. Thanks again Richard. Keep up your great work 👍🏻👍🏻

    Hey Richard, another great video :) I hope 'Lockdown' is treating you well. I hope you don't mind, but I thought I'd ask for some advice. Question: I'm thinking of buying a second-hand mint condition Fuji XS10 (Body only), for close to the price of a new G85 (+ kit lens) and probably slightly less than a G95 (with a kit lens). I'm mostly shooting Hiking Vlogs, bit of scenic stuff, maybe some photos, possibly a short film sooner or later. I currently Shoot on a TZ80 and my Huwawei phone. It gets a little more complicated - My mate just bought the G85 and another friend has an Olympus, so we can share lenses, if I buy one of the Panasonics. Should I buy the G85? XS10? or G95?(if I can get one at a more sensible price) - Please help, I'm watching hours of CZcams reviews and not getting any closer to a firm decision. (I like the idea of Fuji, the colour profiles and the compact size of the XS10). Best regards, Campbell Rousselle, from New Zealand. Any advice would be massively appreciated.

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  Před 2 lety +3

      Hey Campbell, it's quite a tough choice! I thought about buying a XS10 too just few months ago but end up getting a XT3 myself as i feel video is still not Fuji's strongest area so my Fuji is purely for photos. Having a 30 minutes recording limit mean it is not usable FOR ME. As most of my videos are 1hour+ continuously. Basically i just setup the camera, press the record button and keep rolling until i'm done for most of my youtube videos. (even though the final video is only like 10 minutes after editing)
      however, this may not be a problem for you at all.
      But on the other hand, if you got friends already using m43 cameras, able to share lenses or even borrow their camera when you need more than 1 to shoot together would be a great plus.

But for now i think panasonic is doing great. So i wanted to know whats best is it the g9 or g95? I wanted something for an all rounder camera which i can use for photography and also for vlogging. Thank you and have a nice day. And as for your haters you can't please all of them. Because some find happiness by ruining somebody. So stay calm and be informative sooner or later you'll be hitting a million subs. Kudos!

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  Před 5 lety +1

      Hello Caven In To The World! thank you! G9 vs G95? Apart from missing v log profile, G9 is technically better camera in pretty much every single area. Better processor, EVF, better build quality, better video quality and also better autofocus system. Downside of G9 is the larger body size/weight and higher price (although the price of G9 has came down quite a bit since released). So if you don't mind G9's size and weight, I say go for the G9 especially if price difference is small in your country!
      And thank you so much for the warm message re haters. I just don't understand why some people would have so much hate and put so much of his energy on some nasty tactics rather than just use the time to make himself and drink another coffee.
      1 million subs? haha that's certainly something I would love to archive ONE DAY! But improving the quality of my videos is #1 I want to focus on, one day i will get there!!! Thanks again!

Also curious if it trombones as some literature I’ve come across implies it does not. Interested in your observations of the new 14-140. Thanks for the work you put into your content- it’s appreciated!

      Hi Tony thanks for the comments. I believe the new 14-140 is optically the same as the old one but now with weather seal.

    I am not excited at all. very good review nevertheless. But at the prices I have seen Fuji delivers a more well rounded product. But the G9 especially seems to get us a lot more than this G90 at just a little higher prices.

      yes, and few months ago with the cashback G9 was around the same price, let's wait for the summer deals or next winter and G9 will be more price friendly compared to the G95 with cashback. :)

    Is it worth 500 dollars more than the G85?

    • @TheRealRichardWong
      @TheRealRichardWong  Před 5 lety +1

      Hard to answer, I guess it depends on what the g95 offers that g85 doesn't that would benefit you. Some people would happily pay a few hundred to get just the 20mp sensor but don't care about the video upgrades. Some may pay 100 for vlog. And for some, the improved video autofocus may worth two hundred dollar because it means the chance of ruining the video because of misfocus is now much smaller. If all the upgrades benefits you I say it's worth the price difference for sure.. or else you can always wait for the price to drop a bit :)

    Paid 450€ a brand new 4 Year warrany Lumix G85 few months ago. Totally not worth the upgrade to G90/95 :/ but still no Af joystick on this model, only useful buttons on top.
    According to price difference and nealy past cashback is better the G9. You can buy it around 1000€ in the past months, that's the real deal.
