Hello there.. You can change the driver side turn signal without taking the whole light off my old friends. Take the cap that’s placed over all the sensors off which is right next to the turn signal and then you will have enough wiggle room to get the turn signal out, then place the new lightbulb in. Give it a shot before you take the whole light off. Took me 5 mins. Hope this helps. May the force be with you...
Thank you for the tip. I will try it out. Thanks.
Thank you! I was able to switch out the bulb without taking out the whole thing!
I wish I would have read this comment before I took off the whole light. I was successful removing and putting it back on but now two of my bolts are lost in the engine forever and there is no guarantee the light will continue to stay attached to my car 🤦♀️
All Those bolts are pretty standard. You can find a replacement bolts at any auto parts store or hardware store. You can take off the bolt from the other side of the car, use it as a reference, take it to the store for comparison and get the replacement ones. Those bolts will only cost a 3-4$
@@mollyoutdoors what year is your Elantra?
Thank you so much for this video! After asking someone to help me out, and constantly being put off, not to mention checking CZcams. Your video was clear, and to the point! So I changed my bulb myself instead of paying $50.00!
Thank you for sharing! Glad to hear that you found it useful! More power to you!
Not sure if I'm gonna do this myself but thank you so much for making this video... thank you for showing us every single step! I know many will appreciate the thorough instructions! I know I do!
Thank you for your kind words!
I can’t tank you enough! Your video was so helpful and you explanation just on point. Thank you!
Glad to hear that you found it useful 😊
I realize that this is an old video but you really helped me out. Thank!
Glad to hear that you found the video helpful!😃
Excellent video. Got it done in just a few minutes with this instruction.
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much for your help!!
You're welcome!
Thanks!! Got it done
That's awesome! More power to you!
I have a 2021 Elantra can I use this bulb also for the signal
Thank you very much. I thought I was gonna have to take it to the mechanic I just changed the bulb my self.
Glad to hear that you found the video useful :)
Its impossible to get this thing off I've been pulling at it for about 20 minutes now
Yeah it can get frustrating. Hang in there. Hopefully you manage to get it out.
@@VirarAutomotive I couldn't get it out. Il have to remove the whole bumper. I've never owned a car where you couldn't just twist the bulb in without moving anything.
@@Matt-yj1lz I know its very annoying that to just change a bulb one has to get the entire headlight or even the bumper out.
Thank you!
You are welcome!
Thanks dude!!
Glad I could help!
Appreciate the video
Glad you found it useful!
Thank you - where can i find the flasher relay, i wanted to change the turn signal lights to LED without using load resistors instead i wanted to change the flasher relay. thank you
I Charlie, I wish I could tell you for sure but I don't do much electrical work yet on cars. Dealership would probably be a safe (albeit expensive) bet. Doesn't hurt to just call and compare rates
Please help!! What is the make/model of this bulb?! I am struggling to find it online but this is the exact one i need. Any suggestions??
Bulb size : 2357A ('A' stands for the color amber). Brand doesn't matter, just the bulb type does. You can find this bulb at any auto parts store. Good luck!
thanks bro
You are welcome!
Awsome but really you should clean it a bit while you are in there. It makes it so much easier to do. All ya need is a small bowl of water and a roll of paper towel. Some grease of some kind could help with a hand rag near by. Lol
Duly noted.
Very helpful! Thanks for posting this video! (The worst part was trying to get the headlight assembly back into place after replacing the bulb.)
Glad I could help!
Hello, I am having issues with the left turn signal. I have replaced the bulb not long ago but when I use the blinker it blinks super fast. When the headlights are on, the blinker light on my dashboard stays on and when I use it, the front does not blink and the rear blinks super fast. I have tried to see if its not on properly but even then it seems to have the same issue. Do you think it could be the actual blinker socket that holds the bulb? Just curious if you would know. Thank you
The blinker light on the dashboard flashing super fast is a tell-tale sign that one of the bulbs, either front/rear is not working. As you described your issue, it makes sense that the rear is working and the front is not. It is possible though that the front blinker bulb may have blown out again or that the issue with the blinker bulb socket or wiring itself. What I find odd though when you mentioned this 'When the headlights are on, the blinker light on my dashboard stays on', I am not sure what is causing this.
I would say take out the left front and swap it with right front, and see what happens, without having to just go and buying new bulbs. If you have to buy a new front blinker bulb, the bulb size is : 2357A (the 'A' in the bulb size stands for the 'Amber' Color)
The rear bulb size is 1156A
Have you found out what the issue was? Because I am having the exact same issue with my Hyundai.
@@VirarAutomotive Front bulb is a 2357A, but the rear bulb is a single filament 1156A. This bit me in the rear end recently.
You are correct. I should have been more clear. Thanks for pointing out. I will edit my comment now
How do you make that white led strip in the headlight turn on? Mine doesn’t
I am guessing you are talking about the LED strip that runs inside the headlight ? That was only for the 2014-2016 model year. I have a 2013 model year vehicle on which I am making videos. When I get my hands on a 2014-2016 I will make that video
My volume was Mark snow, and I really couldn't hear you until the end
My apologies for the Inadequate audio. This was one of my earlier videos when I was still learning video editing
Ty..wow..am so share n..5his
Glad you found it useful!
You should delete this video mate. All you have to do is unscrew the black cap behind the headlight. It’s exposed on both the passenger and driver side. This complicates things for no reason
And what exact model are you working on ? Cause when I tried to locate the turn signal bulb there was no way to access it without having to take out the headlight
@@VirarAutomotive 2016 Elantra value edition. There’s a small black cap that just twists barely to the left then pops out with the bulb. Very rare a car manufacturer is going to make you disassemble the headlight in order to replace a turn signal
@@VirarAutomotivenever mind, I was wrong. The light you’re replacing looks different than mine. I’m not sure which light I took out now. Sorry sir
No worries! Good luck 😁🍀
