Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter's plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks is quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks. Spider-Man and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) join forces to fight the havoc unleashed across the continent but all is not as it seems.

Quentin Beck a.k.a. Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) shows his true nature.
#Spiderman #SpidermanFarFromHome #TomHolland #PeterParker #JakeGyllenhaal #Mysterio - Krátké a kreslené filmy
One small great thing is how beck remembers the presentation of his thing. In this flashback we hear the audience laugh at him calling it Barf, but in the scene in Civil war there was no laughter. He misremembered it or perceived the laughter that wasn't actually there, reinforcing his own conclusions.
Not to mention Tony admits calling it BARF was inappropriate.
This is something many people seem to point out but it could be the people in the real world who are laughing (the ones listening to beck's speech).
cannot hear nobody laughing cuz theyre doing it silently
That's pretty cool. It shows Quentin Beck has some mental problems.
Or, they didn't think about this part at Civil War.
I'm fully aware that Mysterio is a villain (from Comics and Games) but Jake's acting was able to convince me that may be he isn't (at least not yet) on this movie. That's how good his acting was.
he was shit
@@MikaelFresco you can be a better mysterio?
@@leondreamcast it's more than studying the material bro. It's the writing, the script, plus the delivery of Jake that made it convincing.
Eh it’s pretty obvious that he’s the villain from the start. I’m not saying his acting is bad, but it’s the way the movie written that makes it’s obvious. What they should’ve done was make a fake villain with an actual personality to make us believe he’s the actual big bad of the movie, then Mysterio can reveal that it was just one of his illusions or an actor, and then become the actual big bad, sort of like the plot of Iron Man 3.
@@VOTE_REFORM_UK i have to disagree because mysterio had my brother convinced that he was a good guy, that he was gonna be the next doctor strange and hes gonna be part of the avengers etc. and we got the reveal that mysterio was a villian my brother was like,"wtf😦" and i swear i was like yeah, they did good with the casting and story. true story broddie. we seen in theaters but no one was there and so we were able to talk about during the movie.

It still blows my mind how well this was done. I went into the movie knowing EXACTLY who Mysterio was, but they strung out the ruse juuuust long enough to make me really buy into this new "interdimensional superhero" version of the character. Just when I stopped wondering when the other shoe was going to drop, this happened. That is absolutely masterful screenwriting right there.
And after seeing this probably ten times, I am just now noticing the moment where Peter says "Mr. Stark would have really liked you" and Mysterio damn near breaks character with the look he gives, lol he did not like that remark.
Yes. I was thinking like why the fuck is he being so nice to Spider-Man and then remembered that he’s a master of illusion so I was wondering his exact plan and then Peter gave him EDITH

I love how they changed the origin of Mysterio and actually made him a group of people with everyone contributing in their unique way to create the image of Mysterio.
that one thing that really loved and also made me think that Mysterio could come back at any moment even with Beck being dead, because the rest of the team can perfectly bring him back even if he just an illusion

This scene is still hilarious this is Mysterio to a tea I love the modern take they did with him having an entire team to help produce his illusions and manipulate them, this is a creative way to get him to work since he is so obscure and over the top in the comics. Although I knew Mysterio was going to be well, a villain, I loved the reveal (despite him trashing the suit). And while the constant Stark relationships are exhausting, he was an employee who got wronged. He's a Spider-Man villain, as he should be. Just wish he appeared more in costume, but the CG suit was understandable.

Mysterio actually proves Tony right, he's unstable
I'm not gonna lie. With how the trailers set up the elementals, I thought that Mysterio was gonna become a villain at the end. I had 0 idea that he was going to be the main one so this scene actually surprised me.
One of the best plot twists I've ever seen, was not expecting that at all! I mean, the movie wasn't going to end right there so something needed to happen, but I had no idea it was going to be something like this.
hahaha no
@@Usu_087 for non Spider-Man fans that makes sense

Even though I knew it was coming, I was still shocked.
I def was
I saw Mysterio differently, and thought Jake didn't look the villain type. But I had forgotten how much of a deceiver the character is regardless of incarnation.
My reaction was, *”I knew it!”* Because I’ve read the Spider-Man comics.
I knew from the comics that he’s going to be the main villain. I really don’t know...but somehow Jake Gyllenhaal played his role so well that I nearly forgot that it’s going to turn out like that, which is why I was stunned at this scene
I know alot of people aren't too keen on Mysterio but i personally cannot believe how well they brought him to life on the big screen. Jake Gyllenhaal was absolute SPOT ON casting, he gave such a great performance. Not to mention how much i love mysterios suit and abilities. They both look sooo awesome. If funny to me that,at that time they never consider the fact that how would they really do if people expect them to fight a real avenger level threat? Are they be able to continue fool alien from outer space?
Not that we can't figure it out. But the timing and base-plot are supporting the way Mysterio reveals his plan. Marvel did a good job on this version of him.
The problem that Tony Stark and Dr. Strange had was they viewed Peter Parker as Spider-Man in battle and not the kid he is.
Quentin Beck really built this up well. He acts so natural and casual while deceiving someone who trusts him, he even played reluctant at first.
Beck with his “now that wasn’t so hard” turn was some reeeeal Nightcrawler sh*t and I was here for it
I still don't understand how Peter was able to stop the drones later on when he already "transferred" the controls to beck.
Tony have Peter total and permanent admin controls to EDITH. Him giving them to Mysterious was just an extension of that power, not a total transfer. Tony knew FOR A FACT that Peter was the rightful owner of them, regardless of what Peter must have thought in the moment. He knew that Peter suffers from self doubt.
@@glennmatthews758 Tony: "Listen here kid, you're the rightful owner of EDITH, whether you like it or not!"

It’s charmingly corny to me, I just started laughing when I saw that I’m like “bro wtf is this”

Y'all ain't never had a ceremony with classmates or colleagues to celebrate their accomplishments? My boss likes to do bi-weekly awards and give literal trophies to top sales people and detail other people's contributions to the company and award them too. Beck's excitement and praise for his team was endearing in an insidious kinda way. Shame he started abusing them later in the movie.
How does EDITH not have info on a former Stark employee?
I think Quinten Beck isn’t his real name
The subtle ability to make himself seem undeserving of the glasses which in turn gives Peter to find every reason to give him the glasses is top teir manipulation
Also I like how he preys on peter's insecurities by saying that the glasses look bad on him. He makes it look like friendly teasing but It's really not.
I am sure this was done on purpose but Beck has the same swagger at Tony making him his evil version in a sense. Also, little did he know how interdimensional beings breaking into our reality would become a very real thing in the next movie.
My favourite scene. I knew Mysterio was a villain in the comics but I was almost convinced that he was a good hero. The way he revealed himself to be the bad guy was brilliant and he blew my mind to see William from Iron Man there. The guy who played him is an Executive Producer on the film and was doing it as a cameo so, it was pretty cool to see him back.
Wasn't he also the kid from a Christmas Story?

Wait nah nah nah he’s MYSTERIO, this is his whole bag!” Lol 🤷🏻♂️ the guy can act
My theory as to how Beck got fired is this: Shortly after the "BARF" presentation, Beck approached Tony, telling him that the holographic technology he had developed could have much more useful applications, such as a weapon. But, having just had an unsettling run-in with Alfre Woodard's character, the last thing Tony wants is to have his company producing more weapons.
Beck starts to freak out at this. This, of course, leads Tony to conclude that he does not want to bankroll a possible weapon developed by someone as (what he calls) "unstable" as Beck, and fires him.
The guy fired by Obadiah Stane went truly insane when he couldn't build the arc reactor that Tony Stark was able to build in a cave, with a box of scraps.😅
This sort of twist villain plot is uncommon in MCU and they executed it so well.

It would've taken one teeny tiny background check to realise that the guy exists and worked close with an Avenger.
Those two were there this entire time that guy with stane and then mysterio was there when the civil war was around
This was probably the biggest plot hole in the movie, or maybe just showing how trusting Peter could be. Sitting in a bar dressed as Mysterio and "Night Monkey" yet no patrons are like "Holy F! I think what is overall good about not only this version of Mysterio, but also how it's kind of a lampoon of Marvel movies itself. That line about "It's totally ridiculous and something that everybody is ready to believe right now" is a directly throwing shade at Marvel movie plots as of late. The fact that Quentin's suit was a costume, again lampooning Marvel's costume dept. The "MoCap" suit that Quentin wears later in the movie, again lampooning the "behind the scenes nature" of how CGI in Marvel movies works. The reason why this works so well is this version of Mysterio is lampooning modern cinema and Marvel movies especially and is practically 4th wall breaking. And the great thing is it works. It's just serious enough to NOT be parody, but enough shade to be a legit lampoon at itself without falling apart. It takes masterful directing and acting to do this because you're riding two extremes, which if you're off to one side or the other it falls apart. Fantastic.
This is such a fun scene to watch with people who know nothing about mysterio's character ahead of time. Will always remember the small gasps from the theater when this happened.

7:10 Foreshadowing the mid-credit scene at the end.
6:55
That was some masterful subliminal manipulation by Mysterio.
"Are those the Edith glasses? They were just on the FLOOR?"
Having one of his goons swipe the glasses from Peter, than give them back to him making him think he dropped them on the floor, making him see himself as careless to reinforce his own beliefs that he is too irresponsible to handle that kind of power.
Peter: "I would like to transfer control to Quentin"
Edith: "No such person is found in database. That name is an alias"
Marvel when they were good, knew how to make good villains. The best of them didn’t even have superpowers yet they managed to beat the hero’s and actually have a good point as to why they do what they do.
one of the best scenes in the movie.
Tony literally sacrifices himself to save the whole world and this is how they treat him after his death.
Excellent writing, did a proper justice to Mysterio character
4:20 the party begins
A scene that changed my perception of movies altogether! What a reveal..!
The origins for these "villains" are un-intentionly hillatious
I love how all of these people have a grudge against Tony, and Mysterio frames it as reasonable, but in his speech he reveals exactly why most of them were likely fired/deemed a danger. Mysterio himself only gives his side of the story, but Tony didn't fire him because he thought his program was useless. Mysterio complained about the name, and then said Tony said he was "unstable". Considering what we see from him later in the movie it's highly implied he flew off the rails at his boss and was fired as a result. William was straight-up conspiring against Tony with Stane. Victoria knew the inner workings of SHIELD satellites and how to fool them, and Janice knew insider information about EDITH, meaning at the bare minimum both of them are traitors to SHIELD and at worst they might have connections to Hydra. The most innocent person brought up in Mysterio's speech is Guterman because he just came up with a creative origin story for "Quentin Beck", even though Mysterio makes fun of it for being ridiculous.
He looks pretty stable to me.
The biggest plot hole in this movie was stark giving these glasses and all those weaponized drones to Peter -- a teenager. So many better choices (especially knowing that Tony couldn't have known who wasn't going to make it past endgame). Steve, black panther, Rody, Nat, clint, Falcon, even banner.
No good reason to give it to Peter, he is still an immature and naive kid -- powers or not. there's even an argument to NOT give the drones to anyone as opposed to a kid
If you've ever feel stupid, just think of this scene how fast Peter transferring EDITH to Mysterio
fun fact: in Quientin's BARF flashback, he remembers people laughing, but in the original clip, there was no laughter, which references his instability, and his damaged ego
Yup. Also his memory skips that Tony himself said he didn't like the name.
Maybe it’s just because my two favorite superheroes are Captain America and Spider-Man, but I loved the similarities between Cap’s 2nd movie (The Winter Soldier) and Peter’s 2nd movie (Far From Home). Both are trying to figure out their role in a new world while feeling obligated to remain what/who they are. Both work closely with Nick Fury who outfits them in a stealth variant of their suit. And both learn that some of the “good guys” they’re working with are actually the bad guys.
I love that they brought back box of scraps guy 😂😂😂
4:02 even at that moment I still thought Mysterio was actually good and was wondering what was happening until 4:10.
