I like how each of them has their own awkwardness as their version of Peter.
Tobey is softspoken, Andrew bumps into things and walks in circles, and Tom stutters.
All these little details are so good. Andrew's Spiderman was the best because of his physical acting and love how they let him shine with it.
Spider-Andrew even twitches his fingers as he's picking out chemical vials. Love catching all these little details, they're so genius.
I've always liked that andrew's take on spidey is one weird mf, he makes funny faces, he's really awkward around the girl he likes, that weird thing he did when he was talking about gwen with harry. Weird ass mf, 10/10
I also love how there's this tension when talking about curing ozborn with spider-tom cause out of all 3 he's more of a warrior, and they have to actually talk him down even silently from that nature.
I honestly thought Andrew's shambling about was just because the director didn't give him enough to go on direction-wise.
The way andrews eyes brighten as soon as tobey says MJ. It gives him hope there’s someone out there waiting for him even after Gwen

During the serious scene where Peter 1 first meets Peters 2 and 3, #1 says he wants to tear Goblin apart, which also suggests that he will almost certainly kill Big Goblin Sr.
I think Tobey's webs being organic really pays off with this scene. It shows that not all Spider-men from every universe is the same.

God I love Tobey’s Spidey lines. “Gotta cure all of them, it’s what we do” and telling ASM not to give up on being “Peter”; dude is the GOAT keeping ASM Spidey and MCU Spidey in check with Aunt May and Uncle Ben’s ideals.
Harry osborn(James franco), harry osborn(Dane kaheen), Mary Jane watson(kirsten dunst), gwen stacy(Emma stone), gwen stacy(bryce dallas howard), George stacy(denis leary), and felicia hardy(felicity jones), and venom(Topher grace) should be in no way home.
I want a movie with all 3 uncle Bens and aunt mays.
Tobey definitely sounded like an old and experienced Spider-Man, like an Uncle Ben in Tom’s life.

I love Andrew Garfield's reaction to Tobey's organic webbing. The fact that Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man has organic webbing, has always been one of the coolest things about him. He doesn't need to reload, like the other two.

Also in the battle scene, you can see that Tom and Andrew rarely use both hands when swinging to preserve their web fluid and use it as effective as possible. Tobey doesn't need to think about that, he just shoots it as he pleases because that isn't a limitation for him.

Possibly the most beautiful thing about this scene is the way that Tobey's Peter has, functionally, become Uncle Ben - the dignified and earnest, upstanding yet soft-spoken and wise, figure whom both Andrew and Tom need.
Maybe, even more so, he's his Aunt May. That soft spoken encouragement sounded just like her
It also gives his Peter some closure since both Otto and Norman died in his world beyond his control and he lived with that sadness so for him to teach Holland's Peter to keep his humility it was good.
I imagine the only reason he didn't die in this movie is because Sony (or possibly Tobey himself) objected.

I like that NWH treats all the Peters with respect; it could have been all too easy for the writers to make Andrew's Peter the butt of all the jokes considering the TASM movies didn't do well, but he's rightfully treated with respect here.

I love how Tom didn’t mention Green Goblin when going through the devices. But Toby brought I up with the “Gotta cure all of em.” Cause he knew Tom wanted to kill Green Goblin. Such good writing.
What makes this scene for me is that Tobey acts a lot like someone raised by Rosemary Harris' Aunt May. It's a subtle thing, but it really is nice to see. He talks to the other two the same way she did for him in his universe.
That’s a really good point. They all 3 do act somewhat different according to who their Aunt May version is as well.

@@NonStopKnocks Peter Parker’s parental figures are Uncle Ben and Aunt May. After losing Uncle Ben all he really has is Aunt May. He looks up to them both, and so ultimately takes after them.
Each Peter Parker’s Aunt May has a different personality slightly or speaks different. So each Peter Parker takes after his aunt May in slightly different ways.
@@NonStopKnocks I'm saying that a lot of Tobey's version of Peter talks in a similar manner to his version of aunt May. Like I can imagine her using the same words of encouragement that Tobey uses when talking to Andrew and Tom. Specifically the "It's what we do" talk. It's the mannerisms that make his performance richer because it feels like his version of Peter is capable of giving the same kind of pep talks aunt May would often do in the original trilogy.

That, the musical themes from their respective films, and their landing poses when the three swing together are unique to their films. I love that they went to such love and care making sure each Spidey was true to their respective movies.

Yup. The trilogy left their relationship open-ended with them appearing to begin to reconcile at the end of Spider-Man 3. This movie confirmed that they did work things out and managed to have a life together.

I think the costume choices for Tobey and Andrew really hit home what a lot of the movie shows us:
Tobey doesn't need Spiderman. He is Spiderman because the world needs him. However, for Andrew it is different. He is still trying to deal with his trauma. Andrew needs Spiderman perhaps more than the world needs Spiderman.
You put that very nicely. Especially considering tobeys arc was him coming to terms that even if he’s better off without Spider-Man, he can’t just quit because the city has become his responsibility to protect.

Not a lot of people talk about it but somehow they nailed the right casting for 3 Spideys in a row.
That is one heck of an achievement.
Only because we aren't really used to anyone else playing a live action Spiderman. At the times of their roles i'm sure loads of other worthy actors could have taken the part. It's just what we're used to now.
It’s easy to say in hindsight that Andrew is a good Spider-Man cause we’ve had time to see him grow as an actor and have grown to like him as an actor but I’m sure there’s other better options

@anthonydominguez4744, nah, Andrew was always a great spiderman. He's the most comic accurate in terms of how Spiderman acts and behaves. It's not his fault the writing in his movies wasn't good.
I think the best part of these clip is when Ned calls out for Peter and they all respond with their personal versions of Peter. Tom's Peter gets frustrated, he hasn't learned how to deal with frustration and shows it here. He's the youngest, he has a lot to learn. Andrew's Peter has dealt with great loss and great rage. He takes it casually but provides instruction for clarification. Tobey's Peter takes it like a joke because he was the most gentle of all of them. He was the most "down to earth" Peter of the three. He's felt all the loss and rage the other two have, but has had time to deal and live with it. He treats this like a joke and smiles/laughs about the triple mistake.

The brilliance of Tobey and Andrew here: Tobey is in civilian clothing while Andrew is in his Spidey outfit the majority here. Both which indicates that one makes being Spider-Man a full time job and the other who balances the spider and the man. It’s a show don’t tell situation. Brilliant.

I love the unique vibe that each Spidey brings to the table. Tobey is the oldest brother who already has his life in order, Andrew is the cheeky college-aged middle child, and Tom is the youngest brother who's trying to figure out his coming of age.
I can't get enough of this analysis of the three Spider-Men. It's such a wonderful dynamic.
Best thing marvel ever did for their fans was this film.

One of my favorite scenes in the movie. Really funny without trying too hard. 3:52 the way Tobey stares at Andrew is hilarious and the line at “I magic now” cracks me up. This movie was so good.

Wait, in spiderman 3 Harry did try to kill Peter initially but the in the end Harry died while trying to defend Peter from Venom. I wish this part was specifically mentioned.
That's because Gwen Stacy also died in Garfields arms. You can notice the expression change when he says He died and then when he clarifies While trying to kill me.
I’ve always liked the fact that Tom can’t even say Norman. That small moment shows that while he wants to cure the others, he doesn’t want to cure Norman he wants to beat the hell outta him for May’s death. And Tobey notices this before anyone else so he immediately takes that job and reminds him. Tobey knows better then anyone how dangerous Norman is when the Goblin is in control.
Tobey is also the one who is the most intimate with revenge and how it can turn you into a monster.
People thought Andrew's Spiderman was more cut throat/ darker, but they forgot just how blood thirsty Tobey really was in the original. He's the only Spiderman that killed the person who killed his uncle ben. He hit his MJ. Blew up his best friend... Tobey wants to save the other two from experiencing what he did

Symbiote only enhanced what was already there. And Spidey was looking for Frank before the suit attatched itself to him and was planning a murder. Just like when he chased down the guy in the first film. He had planned to kill him, if not break every bone in his body for killing uncle Ben. And the sandman was next.
Tobey is accused of being the most soft hearted Spidey and a cry baby, but when I rewatched the films, it hit me how rare he actually cried, how brutal he could be, and how... scary he could be sometimes.
@@ChasehaWing Well, he really didn't kill either of the 2 people that were involved in Ben's death. The first guy who he originally thought did it tripped and stumbled out of a window. And the second guy who did kill Ben was sandman who obviously is way harder to kill than just soaking him in water. You can argue that he had intentions to kill both but ultimately he never actually does kill either.

I love how in every single universe, every Peter Parker is a scientist at heart, all three of them showed their scientist sides in this scene and I love that about them
We knew that Tobey was a nerd, but we didn’t get to see him really science like the other two. But this is great we see him, especially since in other futures, Peter’s a Science teacher.

The chemistry between the 3 spider-men is off the charts. There's a real brotherly feel between them.
I love how they made the three of them seem like brothers. Tobey as the oldest, the calmest, the one who can balance his life as Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Andrew as the middle one, the funny one, the one who is always making fun of his brothers, and at the same time, the one who is overcoming his conflicts for the greater good. And Tom, the youngest of them, is still discovering how to deal with the motto: With Great Powers Come Great Responsibilities.
Me as the older brother of two younger brothers looks at Tobey: "It's what we do."

Tobey is actually really perspective. Especially now that he's older and wiser, you notice him keeping an eye on everyone during the film. He is sweet to MJ and Ned and let's them have their moments with their Peter when needed. He is quick to pick up on Andrew's Peter's self deprecation and gently tries to steer him to a better mindset. He is the first to pick up when the Green Goblin is near, and when Tom Peter almost falls to his own murderous rage or get clouded by it, he knows when to step in and how to calm him with the right words or just a look.
Even in a practical sense, that little duel with Andrew when they first meet had him disable the other safely in one move. And he's quick to realize his powers are a little different than the others when none of them realize he has no web holsters.
Tobey's become the wise old mentor that his Uncle and Aunt were to him.
I love how they gave him a 2nd chance in saving the woman he lost, well his MJ.

I love that the entire time all 3 are together, Tobey can tell that Tom hasn't been through the "loss" that every Spider-Man goes through to become who they are. Tobey is like the older sibling Tom always needed. He tries so subtly to give Tom the proper direction to go to handle the hand he'd been dealt.
He just wants everyone to be ok. And that's nice.
Hello? Aunt May literally died one scene ago. That was the defining loss for Tom's Spidey
This movie was truly Tom Holland’s Spider-Man origin story. The anger and vengeance that he has for Norman is the same anger and vengeance that Tobey and Andrew faced in their origin stories. The line where Tobey says “we gotta cure all of them” shows that he cannot let his anger keep him from doing the right thing, something that Tom learns by the end of the movie. To forgive and let go. That’s what Spider-Man is about in my opinion.

More than anything else I love hearing the original web thwip noise from Tobey. That sound was so iconic to me when I was a kid!
Love how Andrew is so baffled. Its because he's the same guy who immediately went to research when he learned his powers. Learning more about what the hell the mutated spider bites do to people is the most interesting he can get to learn.
I love how Tobey's Peter says that he's been thinking about how to cure Norman for a long time. Norman and Harry are both long since dead in his universe, but he still cares enough about them to figure out how he'd cure them if he'd had the chance.
it signifies that the point of this movie/story of this movie is about all of them getting their second chances and trying to undone what was already done. I just watched this movie last week don't judge me why I'm this late lol. anyways, as I've stated, the story of the movie is about redemption... Tobey's Peter is trying to redeem himself because he have done a lot of things he never thought back then, and became basically the Uncle Ben for the rest of Peters. Andrew wants to redeem himself by trying to save Tom's Peter on what he would become if he let his anger get the better of him, and he redeemed himself by saving Zendaya's MJ, because that's the only chance he could get to get rid off of his nightmares of not saving his Gwen Stacy that still haunts him til that moment. and Tom's Peter is trying to redeem himself by correcting all of the mistakes he committed and he thinks it's his own very fault that May died.
He only said that in case he may encounter another version of the green goblin who were messing with the performers enhancers. Plus killing Norman Osborn is not with Harry would want it because if you ever found out what he will do, he’ll never forgive him. I wish if I had a role in this movie, I would reveal the truth because I’m the one with redemption here. because he behaves like he’s possessed by a symbiote.
I figure that in his world, he may have visited Harry's home after his friend's death and found vials of the original performance enhancers which he studied. Or at least he read Norman's original research on them. He did write a paper on Norman's research of nanotechnology, after all.

You can tell Tobey's Peter already knows exactly what Tom's Peter is thinking here, but knows he has to be gentle because Tom's Peter is not in the right place emotionally and also he can empathize with Tom's Peter a lot as he's gone through the same thing. He pulls off the gentle big brother role so well, just reminding Tom what Spider-men do - save people, not get revenge.
He even noticed something was off when Tom Peter didn’t say Osborn when he mentioned the other villains, paused a bit, and immediately talked about making the cures
Which is ironic considering Tobey is so difficult and unlike that in real life

It's no wonder he looked absolutely horrified when he witnessed that Tom was about to go through the same experience in losing the love of his life until he saved her.
I love that we got to see how intricately Andrew worked on his web shooters in TASM1 when he designed them and in TASM2 when he made them resistant to electricity, so when he looks at Tobey’s organic webbing he’s just absolutely dumbfounded 😂
I love how despite all the other superpowers Andrew has seen by now, he's just fascinated by Toby's organic webbing.

Andrew's Spiderman seems the most scientifically minded out of the three. Like the other two tinker/ are geniuses/ love to study. But Andrew seemed borderline obsessed with all things science, but had a special love for biological splicing.
So Tobey's web shooters must be EXTREMELY exciting to him, and I'd bet that if he had time/ was in his own universe, he'd ask if he could do some tests on Tobey to explore his powers to the extreme.
He was mentally trying to figure it out while Tom was explaining the plan 🤣

I love how Tobey's Peter, being the most experienced, and the who has at this point figured out the whole being Spiderman thing, acts as a mentor figure to both Andrew's and Tom's Peters. Andrew's Peter is still in the process of overcoming his demons, and Tom's is truly just starting to learn what it means to be a hero, the sort of sacrifice involved, and how at the same time he has both been gifted and cursed with his powers.
Honestly unpopular opinon but this is why i prefer nwh compare to spider-verse, it really feels like ever spider-man has a purpose and both tobey and andrew have a proper closure in their story. In spiderverse apart from peter and miles every other character was a 2 dimensional throw-away

Andrew Garfield was undeniably the best part of this movie for me! He easily had the best lines/jokes in the whole film. The “Cool youth pastor” line still has me dying and that Pat on the back to Ned and curiously staring at Toby’s wrists even after Tom’s Peter said focus had me laughing

I didn't like Garfield's Spiderman movies mostly because of his Peter Parker. But I love him in this movie, especially the scenes you mention here. There is just something pleasantly different about him in this movie.
@@pertyslick6171 I am grateful that the writers took the "he's not a good Peter Parker" criticism and made it an actual plot point for his character, Andrew's Spiderman no longer believes he can be a good "Peter", and instead focuses solely on Spider-man stuff.
It's actually beautiful how well the writers work with these different iterations of the characters.
I think they did that on purpose to make up for Andrew’s poorer reception. They gave him the best script.
I thought it was neat because I always felt meh towards The Amazing Spiderman and didn't even watch its sequel. But despite that yeah I agree Garfield was the standout in this film

I love how Andrew is like " are you gonna go into battle dressed as a cool youth pastor or do you have your suit " made me laugh out loud.
All three of them are different flavors of geek. Toby is old school geek, Andrew is geek that still likes things outside of science, and then we got new age geek.

I really love the Tobey's version of Peter Parker. The way he keeps the character so vigilante is what makes it interesting. He kept the character unrevealing and the way he showed the organic webs, that's what shocked everyone else, including Andrew and Tom.

I love how meta Andrew’s arc is. Him feeling like a failure from losing Gwen no doubt mirrors how Andrew felt about how poorly his movies were received. This movie was some much needed closure both in the story and in real life. Peter 3 got closure from saving MJ and Andrew got closure by getting to be in this movie.
I think this is particularly true because of the "you are amazing " scene up on the bridge. I really hope he feels good about how well he was received by the audiences. People went crazy seeing him back in action.

There was suppose to be a Spiderman 4 and a TASM 3, but both failed due to corporate interference!!! I'm so mad about it!!! (Venom was never suppose to be apart of Spiderman 3 and its shoe horn addition ruined the dog's movie script! And TASM had so many villians because corporate forced them to shoehorn them in so they could have set up for the sinister 6!)
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone dated for a while. According to some rumors he still has feelings for her. If this is true then it wouldn't be too hard for him to channel said feelings into this scene.
The attention to detail is incredible in this movie. The fact that Andrew is very astonished and can’t stop thinking about the organic webs, but Tom’s Spiderman just moves on to the next subject because he’s used to being around heroes that have unique powers. Great stuff man, makes the movie worth rewatching

He's older, experienced, it's a daily job for him
He’s much more older and far more experienced. He may not have the avengers or anything of the sort in his world but he still deals with beings of supernatural origin and I wouldn’t put it past him to have similar adventures like this in his past. Andrew seems excited but still relatively calm about everything. Not as experienced as Tobey but still battle-hardened, willing to do what he has to do. Toms Spider-Man just went through major hardship for the second time, everything is going upside down and this is the first time where he’s dealing with loss and vengeance. He may have done some miraculous feats the others haven’t, but he still doesn’t have the age to go along with the experience to focus on his instincts, his emotions.

I feel like in that moment, he channeled his inner kid when he was watching tobey on screen before he got to be Spider-Man. I bet in real life , he said the same thing when he was a kid. Tobey's Spider-Man has become that mentor figure to these other two. Considering how Andrew and Tom's characters are Spider-Man are young and going through trauma, he's the perfect one to help them deal with it. Tobey came to terms with being both Peter Parker and his responsibilities as Spider-Man through overcoming his own struggles and maturing, he would be the perfect Uncle Ben to Andrew and Tom.
I love how each Spider-Man is currently going through 3 different stages in life.
Peter 2: Acceptance and Responsibility
Peter 3: Recovery and Redemption
Peter 1: Grief and Forgiveness
Does anyone else think that this crossover was better than the Avengers? This was a real crossover. With the Avengers you knew it was going to happen, they’re all part of the same series, it was not a surprise. But this is 3 different movies series, 3 different eras, 3 different styles and themes, coming together, something we did not think was ever going to happen, and we see characters we literally never thought we’d see interact, interacting!

The whole movie was really a love letter to all the fans. And it shows. That's why it did so well.
I think the Avengers is a little more special, because I believe that's the first time we've ever seen such a crossover like that, where 3 distinct and separate superhero movies that have only Coulson as a commonality combine into that one iconic scene. That in itself I think is pretty historic. And it probably won't be replicated at the same level ever again. Arrowverse might have come close, as well as some Power Ranger stuff.
There is something though about seeing all three Peter Parkers talking to each other and working together against all the villains from the other movies. That's pretty historic too. Although I still give The Avengers the edge.

I think Tobey's webs being organic is the best, because that makes him unique in the way that not everyone can "be" Spider-Man. Creating non-organic one makes it like "anyone" "can be Spider-Man everyone can create the web mechanic"
It's not about webs it's about humility and perseverance that makes tobey's spiderman unique tobey's spiderman is a struggler he struggles with his love life as well as his crime fighting superhero life he tries his best to succeed but he fails and through his failures he learns to adapt and survive and that what makes tobey the best spiderman no billionaire godfather no hi tech gadgets just his sheer will and determination and his uncle's advice with great powers comes great responsibility

I grew up with tobey. Liked and respected andrew. And stand behind tom. This movie finally gave ME as a fan - i love them all. Good transition. Good everything. Honestly cried at the cinema.

I like how they just seem to accept that there is magic.

I find it interesting how they set up the final fight in this movie. From Peter not being able to refer to Goblin by name, and the glare he gives to the cure as Tobey describes it. It’s super well done.

I wonder how much it's affected his diet? If regular spiders aren't eating well, they can't produce as much silk, and it's weaker. It's mostly amino acids and proteins; I'd wager he gets food cravings for whatever is richest in what he needs.

Tobey being the voice of reason and Andrew being the voice of expirience makes them blend together so well. Tobey is the representation of spideys ideals and Andrew is the repredentation of having tragedy overtake you. However Tobey didnt get any development andrew and tom did, which is perfect

I fell out of the MCU after endgame but damn did they knock it out of the park with this movie. The fact that the script treats the other Peter parkers we know and love with respect is just amazing. I was worried that they were going to lecture Toby and Andrews spidermen or poke fun but it's clear that this movie was a passion project

I really like the subtlety on Tom Peter's hatred towards Osborne.
He mentioned everyone's name while holding on their broken cure but when he's holding Osborne's cure he doesn't mention his name and just slightly slam his cure to the table and pretty far away from other's cures as if like he's setting Osborne aside, hinting that he doesn't plan to make his cure because he want to kill him.
But Maguire Peter caught up to it and look at Tom twice while picking up Osborne's cure and volunteer to make the cure instead.
And then he emphasize the "gotta cure *ALL* of them, right?" to remind Tom his original purpose, in which it took a while for Tom to respond with approval, insinuating that he doesn't mean it when he approves it.
It was so great to have Toby in the movie. He's the iconic Peter, the so-heroic-he's-corny Peter, the one who's clearly lived as Spiderman for a while and has the benefit of lived experience that the other two young kids just don't have. Andrew felt like just a taller version of Tom, but Tobey was the big brother.
So true. Toby's Peter would probably be 2 decades into being spiderman up to this point. And it's just a few years for other two.
Andrew's Peter/Spiderman was a darker character, more troubled, and love seeing it here. Tom has a sweetness and an innocence that he brings to the character. Love them ALL.

Love how this film redeemed Andrew’s spiderman and introduced Tobey’s to younger audiences. This was truly a master class in properly paying respects to the character of spiderman on the big screen.

When Ned asked Tobey about a best friend, I wish he mentioned Harry's name so that Andrew could've chimed in and compare experiences. Then at the end of the brief conversation, they try not to look at Ned as in the comics, Ned was the Hobgoblin. One of them anyways. I felt this would have lent a little more weight to Ned promising he won't turn evil and try to kill Tom.
Yea, I was hoping Andrew DID chime in saying that his best friend also tried to kill him. That would have made a stronger impact on Ned when he tells Tom that he would not turn evil and try to kill him.
Ned was the hobgoblin and Harry was the new goblin in SM3.
But considering Ned forgot about Peter by the end I think it's inevitable, unless his memory somehow resurfaces.

I always feel bad for Harry, he didn't know anything, but he was the one who suffered the most, he lost his dad, lost his girl friend and also his trust on his best friend. The only thing left inside of Harry was the emptiness, the lost is too much for him to bear, in the end, he did forgive Peter and help him defeat Venom but he also lost his life. A very sad ending for him, I wish they could make reunion between Harry and Peter, but Peter only met Dr.Octo and Norman, i would be nice if he also met Harry

It would be a very different action to what we know of the character now, but if he remembered Peter and he was upset enough over Peter breaking his promise, I can see him transforming into a magical, rather than technological, Hobgoblin.

I feel like he's saying that even though Andrew lost the love of his life, he shouldn't give up on being Peter Parker. It kind of adds character to them and makes their build up to getting more proper and iconic costumes more meaningful and impactful. Kind of like MMO players or RPG players starting in poor equipment and with time and experience they get armor and looks they are proud of.
Each of the three Spider men had a rather poor looking beginner outfit but got good looking ones after. It's a nice detail that I'm glad stayed with all three.
I always loved the fact that they gave Toby's Spider-Man organic webbing because if you think about it without the webbing he's not really Spider-Man all his other powers aren't really spider-related A lot of creatures can crawl up walls and even spiders don't actually have spider sense that has more to do with their webs
