His spider-sense senses danger, it doesn't not tell him if someone is dead or not.
Say if that was an illusion and Beck wasn't dead just hidden like 5 metres away, so long as Beck (in this hypothetical scenario) didn't actively pose a threat to Peter his senses wouldn't have gone off.
I think that line just shows the human side of Peter. He wants to feel reassured that the threat is gone, yet at the same time never wanted to kill anyone. And seeing death is always hard, despite what other action movies say. So he reaches out for reassurance to the only other entity present.
Fun fact in the comic his spider sense can detect anyone that might be a threat to him in the near future it really fucks with the chameleon
What's crazy, the nerf to Spiderman to make thus work. Spiderman can gear heart beats, see miles in every direction in detail , and sense danger and react like he knew before it happened. This shouldn't have worked on him, he'd be able to hear the drones, sense no hear or cold coming from the monsters. He can close his eyes and do what he can with them open. I guess the beginning, Maybe, he wanted to believe , he wants to be set free from responsibility . After though he should walked through all of this.

I love how these film make Spider-Man’s lesser villains a massive threat. Mysterio was the obvious cinematic choice for a Spider-Man movie. As the illusion are just so cinematically beautiful. But they actually had this villain a legit threat. He was bringing down major city’s of the world down to there knees. Just so he can play pretend. And making them prey for Mysterio. I also like everything they added to his character arch wasn’t a betrayal to his comic book counterpart. His backstory and personality trait’s actually suit the Beck from the comic imo.
Given how the Miles Morales animated films gave just made The Spot (usually a joke of a villain) kind of terrifying, just goes to show it's how villain use their powers that makes them strong or scary.
It's why I've always been a massive fan of Bullseye, is he going to smash planets, no, but he has the ability to take any random object, chuck it at you and even if it's a 1 in a trillion chance of injuring/ killing someone, it's going to work.
I'm surprised to see words "Mysterio" and "lesser" in one sentence. Dude's Spidermans Scarecrow. Yes, Green Goblin overshadows every other villain just like Joker, but it doesn't make them any less major.

Spider sense is a omega level mutant power... the OG spider sense was explained in a such a manner that spider man could basically get a small glimpse into the future and his body automatically reacted to it .... Kinda Like Ultra instinct From Dragon ball ...Basically so long as spider mans reflexes are fast enough to react he will automatically dodge... Since spiderman reaction time is almost god like ( we arent talking speed here we are talking reflexes ) it would require people like the flash or quick silver to actually hit him.

I like how when peters eyes close, they stay closed showing peter relying solely on his spider sense up until the Illusion is somewhat worn off. Its a great attention to detail

I find it funny how people who diss Tom Hollands Spider-Man often use the excuse his spider-sense sucks by saying "hE cAn'T sEnSe A bAnAnA" but completely forget this scene where he uses said sense to take out the drones and catch Beck's hand before he was about to shoot him, and in the next film he sensed that something was up in the condo which turned out to be the goblin taking control of Norman again.

I'd say the action is most definitely better, but I'd say both final scenes both do Spider-man right. In Homecoming, obviously, Peter saves the vulture after this suit fails. Displaying his empathy and that not only is he non-lethal but he also still cares for the villains. somewhat...
In this scene we see him not only using his powers efficiently and productively to take out a large amount of enemies, but we are also once again displayed his genius, he doesn't need his webs to do what he does, he creates a plan to break through and confront Mysterio. Not only that but it's after he completely bounces back from the betrayal from Beck.
Overrall, the action is awesome , such an epic fight. But when you think about the story, what led up to both final climaxes, they're both fairly done similar and well to display Spider-man. So glad that they didn't butcher this character, and he personally ended up being my favourite in the franchise.

Something to remember about spiderman is if he relies on spideysense, he is untouchable. The only time he gets hit is when he wisecracks or strikes a cool pose. He's the most ADD superhero out there :D

This is my favorite spider man movie in MCU. Yes I prefer it to No Way Home.
Well of course, No Way Home takes the lesson of this movie and shits all over it. It's wonderful fan-service but as part of the continuity, it's terrible. The entire lesson in this film is not to blindly trust people and in the next film he openly frees and trusts MULTIPLE VILLAINS resulting in him losing EVERYTHING including Aunt May.
NWH is special to me but this film is also amazing it's WAYYYY overhated

If I can vote, I vote this for best cinematography and best CGI animation editing for movie.🙂 So I guess, only spidey can beat mysterio and no other superhero or villains can. I think this scene could've been so much better if they didn't shove that stupid "Peter Tingle" joke in our face. This scene could've been really powerful if instead of Peter saying "Come on, Peter Tingle", he could've made up a better name on the spot like idk maybe he could've said "Come on, Spider Sense"? And they could've built it up throughout the movie with Peter saying things like "We need to think of a better name than Peter Tingle" whenever Aunt May or Happy would say it, cuz clearly even Peter thought it was cringey throughout the movie, until this scene for some reason. But they could've used this scene as the birth of the Spider Sense but no, they had to make the moment cringey with that dumb joke
However bad you thought that was, they made it worse in the next one destroying any sign of a good film and made it just ‘ReMeBeR tHiS’ the whole way through
This reply is going to feature constructive critism to this other critism, but it's mostly back-lash, so pucker up.
First of all, why was the dialog important? Why would he want to come up with something serious? It had a sort of "name" so he used that.
Second, why so serious? Spider-man isn't serious, he's funny, quippy, that's his thing.
Third small thing, the fact that he obviously sees it as "strange" or "weird" but still says it in the end, is comical.
Finally, it didn't take anything away from the moment, it wasn't even "shoved", it was simply added dialog followed by the build up until he landed his first hit. The scene wouldn't have changed much if they kept it in, changed it, or simply said nothing.
Something extra as well. If they had build up to changing the name to something else, but he still called it "peter tingle" in the end, would have been ADDED TOUCH! Acceptance! And it's a joke so it could be perceived as funny! That's his thing!

But since they didn't, now all the kids who see Tom Holland as their definitive Spider-Man probably only refer to his the Spider Sense as the Peter Tingle. I understand if your someone who fell in love with spider-man reading the books at a younger age, or you just have the simple preferred option, being the OG, "Spider Sense". I also understand it being very upsetting to see something so iconic being simplified to a simple joke.
My personal stand point is that I don't resonate with it much, however I still am proud with the MCU's efforts in acknowledging it in such a way, referring to the apartment scene during NWH, when Peter got separated from his "astral form" also during NWH, and finally seeing his powers being affected by his mental state, something that lines up with spider-man in the comics. (thanks Google!)

This movie is so much filled with scenes that make you go "huh..?" , so much taht they needed to actually give Peter an origin story (something they praised themsleves they didn;t do)

All throughout the spider-men, Tom Holland got "peter" the best. The fact that they didn't give an origin story to him is obvious, however, probably because it was done 2 times already. they didn't want to spend some extra time telling the same "parents left, spider bite, uncle died" crap.
