By popular demand, Jay talks about what he found was the best body parts grouping for best results based on all his years of trials and errors. Take a good listen and apply it to your routine to see if it helps your workouts. - Zábava
Jay brother I remember those days of me cranking the A/C up at 6am in the morning because you created a sauna effect in my therapy room about 100 degrees LoL. See you soon, thanks for the shout out my friend. Steve
Wow what a great endorsement you got right here bro!!
The Best thing about his videos is that he not only shares valuable information but also it’s like he is talking to us directly and that puts his videos way above any other video available.

Videos like these are my favorite! Keep it up Jay!
You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT about taking credit for bringing Ezekiel bread to the bodybuilding world as well as health and fitness world as I promote to all my clients. Great stuff and Great vid! Team Cutler A+ 5stars
So much valuable info in your videos Jay and Dave! I am currently in week 2 of cutler club shred program, and enjoying it very much. Thanks for the amazing content!!
One of the best, most honest videos down to earth, by Jay !
Excellent informative advice, keep them coming. Kind regards from Bonnie Scotland 🏴
I've been working out for years now (not a bodybuilder by any means) , but I just wanted to vouch for the training split Jay has mentioned Shoulders, Legs, Rest, Chest, Arms, Back and how beneficial it has been in just a matter of weeks for me. I'm an avid follower of this channel and will continue to benefit from the helpful tips and experience. Thanks Dave also for being so loyal and following Jay wherever he goes!
Loving all the content. Jaymail and CZcams are both helping me make results at 47 years old. Just got some amplify/generate and already had triumph looking forward to working out later this morning
This is why Jay us the King man......I could listen to him talk about nutrition for hours💪
Hey Jay, Man you are such an inspiration to me. I actually met you in Panama City Fl. about 15 years ago when you were in town as a guest poser for our local bodybuilding competition. I'm now 70 years old and back at the gym with my doctors OK after suffering a stroke about 10 months ago. I'm now pretty much back to normal. I recently discovered your Utube channel and watch it often. Thanks for the tips about training and diet. I incorporate them little by little in my workout schedule and diet. I believe they are very beneficial and helpful. thanks again!
love jays videos
When ever I have days off the gym I'm here seeing Cutler videos oh wait this is a every day thing after destroying the gym eat shower and relax with these videos Jay love it when you talk more about life experiences during bodybuilding and just life keep the videos coming!
Thanks Jay 💪. This topic is such a pain in the ass but I’m glad you let us have your point of view from the eyes of a champion.

This guy is really a "sir", for me him is the best champion and sport representation.
On stage and out of it him is always educate friendly with all.
Love these vids
Love the take on splits. Like you said i believe it differs for individual and workload. Great stuff!
I've finally got enough experience to understand what he means. The thing about it is that it really is not complicated, but at the same time you cannot just get a blueprint, check out and expect to just cash out.
Great vid Jay and Dave off to kill some bis and tris.👍💪🐺Thanks..
Your the best Jay!
Amazing Video..so much detail..Much appreciated
EXXXcellent vídeo! Thanks Jay!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Jay's split is very close to my favorite split, it flows well. Legs last followed by rest is a strong finish for the coming week.
New video just in time for cardio!
Great video... as always.
Jay you are a Gentleman for sharing your knowledge and experience with us thank you so much , from a fan from Ireland ..im so glad to have subscribed to your channel.
Thanks Jay and Dave
Nice vid Jay
Great content guy's and I agree , gotta experiment with yourself and see what works and calfs and forearms are always first so I don't forget or feel lazy and say I will do it next time
Great channel. I’m going to try the ham/quad split tomorrow!
I watched another video it was called Jay Cutler vs Rany coalman ..and i laughed so much because jay made it look so easy and roney was sweating and working too hard ..lol
. it was almost like roney afraid because he new jay was going beet him !! Big up to both Rodney and jay .
Regards from Dubai. Great content. Jay is dope. Great ambassador for the sport.
Great video , please keep dropping your personal experience like this gona use the calves thing
Hey Big Jay, Sorry to hear about your back pain. Peace from Canada.
Great content
Great vid champ. I would love to hear more specifics about what you did to manage you back pain and get back to normal. I get occasional debilitating back pain too. Generally I only use the chiropractor but it would be interesting to hear how about treatments you get and the other methods you used to manage the pain. Great channel, thanks for sharing your experience.
Always enjoy your video's. Thx Jay Cutler and Dave. If not for the bicep tear. Do you think you would have won the Olympia and if so would you kept competing? Have a great day champ and Dave. Appreciate all you do for our sport.
You're spot on with the 72hr recovery window .
Great video
Was waiting for this since you discussed your split in truck the other day and said you forgot exactly!
Great information
Spot on Jay.
Awesome content. Def wish I could afford getting work on my body! If I could Def would do the 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off. Did that split when I was in my 20s. Def the best split. Thanks Jay and Dave. Hope back feels better💪 Brian from Boston
Had no idea Jay was raised by his Dad and siblings.... would love to see video about your upbringing Jay. You are down to earth man, Love these videos
Jay is awesome
real shit, I never heard of Ezekiel Bread until i heard you speaking about it lol thanks guys💪🍞 and thanks for the awesome content
After 8 years of training I have my own theories and systems and it's always great to compare it to a pro and see consensus :)
Would love to see you try DDP Yoga jay, would help your back for sure.
@jaycutler you say bi,tri together I've never tried pairing these together but going to try this, great info man.thanks.
Happy early Bday to your Dad Jay
When I use to compete 3 on one off and 2 on one off was worked the best for me.
Thank you for bringing up genetics and individual aspects of each person. Question, could you talk to in future videos of the recent negative talk about of off season weight and size of professional weight lifters? Why they do it, and what are the benefits or negatives in your professional opinion.
Abraham Wolfe yeah that’d be cool to hear jay talk about. I think we’re both thinking about Rhodens guest posing in particular? That was bull how everyone started discounting him for the Olympia just because of that.
Please speak about your training when you started and how you built your mass
This is exactly as my training split.I didn’t even know jay had the same philosophy
In high school we had the weightlifting team coached by coach Bradford who taught us the importance of what Jay shared in this video .
I’m 2 months older than Jay 214 lbs dressed , 203-4 lbs undressed .
My whole life was spent on and off in gyms since high school , I’ve gotten back in it 4 weeks ago today . Taking 50 mill of anadrol the first 3-5 days then upping to 100 mgs. Taking testo along with at 49 and having some body fat around the mid it’s been hard going eating as much as 4-5 meals a day ( not for completion but because I’ll be 50 in June and want to just blow family and friends away on that day .
I wanted to say how much the videos mean , I sent for some cutler athletics shirts and when I got them Jay sent signed stickers and a avail sample . Jay is the most humblest guy talks with out the F bombs , and I’ve followed ya since high school . Just great that your inspiration has led me to get back in after 10 years out and I’m freaking loving it ! Thanks Jay !
GET WELL JAY “cheers”.
Jay, when you are at the Warhouse June 8, get your back worked on by the Muscle Mekanik PJ Newcombe. He has his office in the gym there. Miracle worker!!!
Tbh I’ve really started to push two a day sessions for weights as I saw both Jay and Stan Efferding discuss them. It’s worked tremendously for me in terms of development
I’m lucky I wfh and can squeeze it in
Inspired from Australia mate ! Cheers
I like how Jay’s like : my training method is superior ....and all my Olympia trophies can attest to that 😝😆. (I’m a Jay fan btw .... awesome video champ!)
Jay, when you train calves does toe placement matter. I have heard that you should do sets where your toes are straight, then pointed outwards, and pointed slightly in.
Jay we could use some tips for getting a better body well for those of us in our 40’s!
Great video again!, Id like to ask Jay if he thinks there is a plateau when bodybuilding naturally, considering the genetics are good and the food/nutrition is optimized throughout..???is there a maximum size our muscles can grow before we need gear? Thank you in advance
Maybe some videos about more of Jays injuries or strains and how he rehabs or worked around them
Currently for me
Sore wrists, right forearm pain, nagging lower back, weird inner leg strain that came from nowhere
I like the split, but I feel like doing arms before back hinders my back workout because my biceps are sore from the day before.
Hi Dave. Could you ask Jay about rebounding after a show. What did jay do back in the day? Rest or try and grow as much as possible. What do you recommend ?
I would really like to know more about that neuro muscular theraphy because I have severe problems my self 🙏
To hear about bodybuilding...listen to a body builder...to know about that therapy..u need to consult those doctors....those that specialize in there profession...in my opinion 😉
What a qualitative content! Thanks a lot for this awesome stuff! Jay, two questions from me if you don't mind.
1. You said a man needs to figure himself what's best for him. What are the markers to understand that it works better for me if I have more than 5 years of experience? After what term the current training plan can be considered as not effective and major issues need to be changed?
2. What are your thoughts on progressive overload for natural athletes? What's the best way to implement it? Is it of vital importance to increase weights, sets and reps if you train without juice? For example, you said you recommend 30 sets for back. Have you always used this amount of sets or you started with 10 and gradually increased to 30? You said you had always trained within 10-12 reps not caring about the weights. What if an athlete do 30 sets for a bodypart for 5 years and the weights are almost the same? Meaning progressive overload will be not implemented but the total amount of sets would be maximal for an athlete.
Jay, I'm 53, I've been beating my chest for years because I have the exact same as you, my chest ends about halfway up. I've tried absolutely everything and nothing has worked. What did you do to finally get it where it was a literal game changer? Thanks in advance and for all you've done and continue to do for the sport!
I agree like Bruce Lee said be like water. The body is always changing, moving, growing and so should the way you approach training/rest/nutrition
Hey Jay is that poster over your left shoulder available anywhere?
Love your videos! Thanks Mr. Cutler!
What are your thoughts on Vegetarian Body building?
(No Meats at all (Eggs or fish), but still consume dairy.)
I cant really say.... never done it
Literally just got a notification from your facebook, your EVERYWHERE JAY!!! haha.
Question. Which do you think is more stress on the nervous system 5x5 @500lbs or 10x10 @250
Thank you.
Jay, I’m a little confused by what you said about working 1 body part per day. Perhaps others have already asked this question, but I really like the idea of 1 body part per day and it has been working well for me ever since you mentioned this. My energy levels are high from the beginning to end of my session and my muscles are sore every time which to me is a good indication that I’m doing it right. My muscles have responded well and I’m excited to see great results. Well in this same video you also mention grouping back, shoulders, and chest in the same day.? I’m honestly not trying to be a smart ass, but how is that 1 body part per day? I’m just a little confused but in the mean time I’ll keep focusing on one muscle group per day and looking forward to every work out. Nothing but respect for you bro thanks for all that you do!
I also started single body training after doing the double body part. But as being natural I cant do lot more volume in legs so I still train legs twice but rest all one part in a day.
Jay, any tips on dealing with injuries, notably Tennis elbow, haven't been able to train Bi's in MONTHS (yes I've seen a physio) ... HELP?!
Great video Jay! On what days did you incorporate abs?
Always with back is Jay's mo.
Hey Jay, where do I get the signed hats at?
Always good content - does ezekiel bread really dry you out?
when you digest food it takes water to pull
great video I am doing a push pull legs cycle what are your thoughts of doing say bicep maybe with chest instead of triceps and do back with triceps my thinking is when training chest triceps are getting hit so hitting them on their own same workout maybe too much Same as for biceps training with back so i am thinking chest with biceps and side and front delts and then back with bicep and rear delt and traps then leg day thoughts on number of exercises and reps for body part and finally how long to you suggest to stay with a set workout but before changing workout
Would you up the training before a show like workout alot of upper body with no legs so far out from the show and use up lits of glycogen stores from the training then go into the carb up phase before the show.. curious what the training would be different a few weeks till the show..
I'm going to be using the same split as you, also in a week is it just the one day calves before chest and when would you do abs??
Did Dave just say Lee Priest trained arms EVERDAY? Please confirm. Cant find any articles on this.
What do you feel is the better post workout meal????.
A meal (i.e. chicken and rice) or Carb loading supplement drink and whey protein, then 1 hr later a meal (chicken and rice)
Great content fellas, do abs get lost in the mix, or is it just me Hey... or maybe I should incorporate them everyday?
Abs with back always he had said
Jay, I have been trying to add in the cardio and abs. The stair master and running on the tread mill leaves my legs sore 7 days a week, any advice on what to do for cardio and still get in some recovery time for my legs? Just wanted to mention, I really like the 5 day 3 on 1 off, 2 on 1 off direction. This matches your Jay mail advice but contradicts from the Jay Club workout.
just to be clear, the difference is the body part splits between the video and the club workouts. I especially like arms having a day to themselves, and triceps first.
Did you do any cardio during your two a days. Is this in an ebook somewhere your two a day breakdown.
I do a similar split with my workouts, however on my back and lat days, about 3 exercises in my biceps are so pumped I can barely get my hand to my face, yet I'm barely feeling anything in the muscle group I'm trying to target. Would not wrapping my thumbs around the grips help with this? Any thoughts? Thanks for all the hard work you put into this. Oh, fyi I don't use wrist straps at all.
one thumbs down is a "still upset" Victor Martinez
good one lol
Or Ronnie
🙏🏻
how often did you train ABS? you mentioned after back but was that it? love the videos..
Joseph D'Angelo he would shit 8 times a day. The squeezing helps
I’m torn on how to split my days up I’ve been doing full body 6 days a week and I don’t think that’s the best route anymore
Jay, can you go over deadlifting more!? For example when and why. Would you consider it a leg or back day? Also why it’s not mentioned much in bodybuilding. I mean everyone brings it up but not many CZcamsrs show it. IDK just my opinion. Thx,
Who is a good back doc??? I live in Las Vegas. Who is a good physical therapist
