I tracked Jay down at Kilo Club Las Vegas for a late AB training session. He had been really busy traveling as of late so we get to catch up about The Arnold, the Boston Pro and everything else he has been busy with.

Just the information that Jay and Dive continue to push out is awesome. Just to watch how down to earth you both are and the way you both take the time to talk and push information out is great. Can't wait to move back to the states from Korea and hopefully be able to meet up at a location that you might be at.
Jay looks the healthiest retired Olympia champ.
I like the idea that he does not stress super heavy weights. I can still do all the exercises he does only at a proportionally lesser weight say 60%. At 71 I am not getting smaller I am actually growing. The little tweaks he injects into each explanation of why he’s doing an exercise is something you can’t get from someone except maybe Charles Glass. With J though I feel that he’s more of a friend than a trainer. I train alone like he does so it’s important when I watch because I know I can do the same thing. Yet I do have a training partner with his knowledge and his sensibility about how to train that’s invaluable. I started going to Gold’s Gym in 1978. Every time he goes to the Gold’s it’s a reminder of not what I’ve lost but what I’ve gained from going. As Jay says no matter what it’s going on in your life if you can get into the gym that day it melts away and at least for a while you can do something you want to do. I walk out feeling better and stronger The feeling that for a little while I can control my life every day I go for at least that time…Rich

im always blown away at how extra some gyms are. as hard as it is to keep a typical average gym going and doing well..i have no idea how some of these places that look like billion dollar gyms do it..like there is no budget to what they spend..crazy stuff
