Back in the early 90s a good friend of mine here in town was getting ready for the NPC nationals. He ended up taking fifth in the light heavyweight class which I think is phenomenal especially given the competition. Anyway, shortly before the contest I was talking to him as he was riding the stationary bike and I can remember seeing the striations in his jaw as he was speaking to me and I thought damn he’s ready. Man those were awesome days!

On top of that , learning all the ins and outs of bodybuilding AND p.e.d use would be a nightmare without the internet .
Besides that , the 90s were one of the best decades . I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that besides the 80s aesthetics, the 90s was the peak of of bodybuilding in terms of mass/aesthetics .

I quit caring about the Olympia after Yates retired. That was a champion. Actually Coleman was great too. But my favorite of the 90s was Yates. Just pure determination and grit. His conditioning was second to none and the size was perfect.
