- In today's video I go over demoing the VR Interaction Framework which works with many of the popular VR Platforms available today. This system provides an advanced level of interaction with hands and controllers when building VR experiences with Unity XR components.
📌Get VR Interaction Framework from the Unity Asset Store:

💡 VRIF (VR Interaction Framework) supports all Unity compatible VR Headsets such as the Oculus Quest, Quest 2, Rift-S, HTC Vive, Valve Index, Windows Mixed Reality (WMR), and Pico Headsets.

Hi, great content, I love it. Gracias por traer siempre novedades como esta.
Thank you for your feedback, y denada :) gracias a ti por tu excelente comentario saludos !
Nice work Dilmer! I would love to see some kind of VR multiplayer integration with this.
Thanks Charles and I like the idea, I will add it as a future video idea thanks man.
yeah, this asset is amazing. Make more videos showing how use this interactions. Thanks.
Thanks I have something in progress which I think you will like even more ;)
@@dilmerv 🤤🤤anxiously waiting...💙
it will be great to have a video about oculus avatar integration in VRIF . Thx Dilmer for your great work
Amazing Marc thanks for your suggestion and yes I will consider doing a video with Oculus / Meta Avatars and VRIF.
@@dilmerv great perfect I think that lots of owner of VRIF waiting for a real good avatar solution
This looks great! I'd love to see tutorial videos about how to setup and use the VR Interaction Framework.
Thanks Pedro I am considering making more videos about this tool.
Dilmer,
Have you ever tried Hurricane VR?
I'm liking it a lot so far!
I'm wondering what a person like you could manage to teach using their tools.
I'm particularly interested in a type of interaction like the one found in the quest link environment. You can raycast from your hand and interact with objects by rotating and moving with the joystick. I couldn't find anyone showing this.
Hey I’ve had this for awhile. Have you figured out how to get the bounce material to work in the rigid body player scene? It refuses to work for me at all...I’ve even tried jumping in real life 🤣
Would you say this asset is more geared toward beginners or is it good for programmers with a few years of experience? (albeit only some VR development experience)
Also how would you compare this to Unity's XR Interaction Toolkit?
Would you mind showing HOW to install VRIF on Unity 2021? There seems to be no tutorials past 2020, and since I am interested in Valve Index controllers, it is good to get the latest version possible for OpenXR latest...
It would be amazing to build a simple project using VRIF and showing how to use different prefabs and functionalities all together.
I agree ! Let’s do it ;)
It’s really easy. Just download the framework. It’s like playing the sims very easy to sort of figure out lol. However the bounce material that’s another story
Do more videos with this please!!
Will do thanks for your suggestion Matthew 🙏
Thank you ! How is it possible to integrate it with custom VR body in a new project ? And how we can use just specific built in interaction from it in URP project ?
Let me add this info and possibly make a new video about it, thanks for your suggestions and questions.
Congratulations! I have a question.
Where can I add a footsteps sound in VR Interaction Framework?
It would be great if you could make a tutorial to add footsteps sound in unity with this Pluging.
Thank you.
Thanks for your suggestion !
Sir we can use this framework htc vive?
Is it possible to use VRIF with passthrough? That would sure help get a foundation for AR experiences for new developers.
Absolutely, this sits on top of Oculus integration so you are more than good to use it with Passthrough :) I am sure it will work.
yes, it will. I already create multiples projets with VRIF and passthrough
I'm not crazy about the way the hand snaps to the hold poses instead of smoothly animating.
Hi Sir, please make a video on, how to always show the status bar in unity android, I tried many ways to achieve it but no use.
It's my humble request.
Thanks for your comment and sure let me look into it thanks for your feedback.
Can do anything, but nothing right. A lot of time wasted on it. Too buggy. Not production ready for me
Yeah, getting vrtk vibes
The jitter from the grabbables is what made me stop using it, makes the whole thing feel janky once you notice it
Interesting Mario, can you share what type of features didn’t work for you ?
I’ve been using this framework for 6 months it’s absolutely perfect. If you also buy Hexa body great thing to add. This isn’t supposed to be absolutely perfect as your expected to do you know some things yourself but I’ve been able to use it put in tons of obj with great features and hitting oculus quest target frame rate. If you want a perfect framework there’s one for unreal that’s $200. Try that
@@pixiedust5239 Just as a curiosity, which one is the perfect for Unreal?
waste of time, you have been using the controllers all the time. Remove the Hands term for your video. People look for hand tracking not this basic implementation that you can do for free too.
Good point, I have a lot more videos in the channel with hand tracking, check out the Playlists, thanks for your feedback.
@@dilmerv Okay I have been searching for hand tracking videos and your videos did not pop up on the search.
