    Awesome stuffs, Would love to see more tutorials, bought VRIF and it is amazing! Would love a basic score system tutorial for newbies. So that it can count how many box have been hit.

    This is great! You made the framework so well I had already did my own weapons! What would be great is an aerial vehicle tutorial. I got it working, but would like to see other implementations. No rush just curious

    Very informative video. You mentioned doing a bolt action, but they have 2 steps to the slide, how would that work with this asset? (rotate up, pull back > push forward rotate down)
    I would love to see a weapon wizard ala like what the VR Weapon Interactor asset has (just a suggestion; the 'replacer' method used here works too)

    Hey man! Thanks for the tutorial! I’ve loved playing around with VRIF. I hope to get back into it but I haven’t really been able to figure things out like networking a gun with your networking example. I know it’s only a foundation, but maybe you could do some tutorials on creating a networked object, as I have a hard time reading documentation. I’m a better visual learner. Thanks.

    1st off I love the VRFI kit. But I have a space game, and one of My weapons is really different than a standard gun. It mounts to the wrist, like Your grapples do. but with the barrel on top, and handle on the bottom, with a trigger button on the thumb position. The wrist needs to bend down to grab the handle, and fire. So the hand is free to use when not grasping the handle. Wanted to have a button on it to to remove it, instead of it falling off when Ya let go of the grab button, and try to grab like a ladder, or such. Not sure if it's easier to modify a gun, or the grapple.

    Hey man, just picked up the VRIF and loving it so far. I have a tool gripping correctly, and now Im trying to work out how to show a squeeze animation on trigger press of that tool. Whats the best way to achieve that with VRIF? I think I need to get the triggervalue and then somehow animate both the trigger in the model and the hand as it squeezes the trigger. Any starting point would be super helpful, thanks!

  • @ElectroManGaming24
    @ElectroManGaming24 Před 3 lety +1

    Okay so I followed all directions in the video. My main issue is that gripping sometimes for the charging handle (Used an AK model very similar to yours) the gun tends to wig out a bit and go all over the place. Another issue i found is that gripping near the front grip tends to just grip weirdly to anywhere near the front grip point.

    Hi, I am using the VRIF, and I really like it, saves a lot of time, but I have a question using the Knob prefab, how do I get the feedback, what I'm trying to do is increase a variable if it turns to the right and to the left decreases, would it be possible for you to explain or point me in the right direction?

    Just finally saw some of The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, and I noticed VRIF implements a lot of how they do things. Was that a direct influence for you for VRIF features? Thanks.

      Oh definitely - love that game :) They did a really great job with it. I think a lot of their mechanics just clicked for me. And take the little highlight rings for example - they show what's interactable easily, and they aren't costly to render at all (compared to say a highlight shader). I took it a step further and added added color indicators showing if it was the left or right hand hovering, using colors similar to the ones used in Portal that indicated which portal was in use (the blue / orange). Kind of a throwback I suppose

    Modifying colliders in scene view is a terrible experience on Unity and has been for years. Why did they make those handles so dang small!? Wondering if you've ever tried any assets or helpers that revamp that process? I'd love to have a different collider sizing/positioning experience altogether.

    Love VRIF but I’d love to see a more in-depth tutorial on Snap Zones. I’m trying to make a stackable burger but keep running into physics issues when the pieces are connected.
    I’ve unchecked ‘disable colliders’ in my ‘slots’ but it gets glitchy/janky. Check marking ‘disable colliders’ gives me this result as expected:
    czcams.com/video/v5JBtGthQ7I/video.html
    Any help or tips on making a stackable burger where the whole connected burger reacts accordingly to physics would be greatly appreciate.

    How Can I make a sniper in this FrameWork

    • @beardedninjagames7753
      @beardedninjagames7753  Před 2 lety +1

      You can adjust the settings of the existing rifle so that you have to pull the charging lever back for each shot. Then you'd need a scope, which you could do with a render texture. Check out the mirror in the XR demo - it uses a render texture and you can use that as a starting point for your scope.
