Shout out to all those people who share their batteries
Lightestofsouls 94 Shout out to everyone reading this guys comment!!!
Litterly me
Becomes wave mvp
Buys everyone batteries
Logan 06 thank you
Just started playing the game yesterday, i'm that guy that buys batteries for eryone...
Thank you
As a monarch main. I can tell from experience it is so annoying when your going for a titan execution and someone shoots it from far away and steals the extra health and shields you get from it. Usually when this happens the monarch ends up taking more damage. STOP SHOOTING DOOMED TITANS WHEN A MONARCH IS NEAR THEM!!
As that Ronin who constantly steals your food.. sorry :(
@@Derpy-qg9hn As a Ronin main with a Highlander build, I sympathize with the plight of the Monarch, but I'm gonna do whatever I gotta do to keep my sword core going
EXACTLY! as a monarch main I MUST CONSUMPTION OF F O O D!
if i have a Monarch nearby i usually just doom a titan and let them get the execution, it's a team game after all
The harvester shield boost will replenish the harvester's shields, so it is VERY useful. I don't understand why you would say it is useless.
Ixpqd it's great for Nuke titans that get too close as well! A very good buy for late waves when you know you might get overrun!
Generally a good team shouldn't have that issue. Titans shouldn't get the chance to get close if the team composition is good for the map, arc traps are placed well, and team titans stay in their respective lanes and roles.
I used to think it was good as well but you shouldn't have to use in desperation, and chances is if your that close to death that you must use such an ability than your dead regardless, I found out my money is better spent on turrets or arc traps, personally on round 1 i buy amped weapons once if I loose it I don't buy it again, and I buy as many arc traps as possible up until the time before the final round, if you manage to keep your titan at good health than you'll save money for more arc traps but other wise if your monarch your going to want to buy amped battery's since you have all your Cores but if not then never really buy amped battery's, on the finally round buy battery's for monarch and arc traps or turrets.
If the shields are down there's something wrong, if you actually need that you should decrease your difficulty and find different players
Ixpqd This. Especially when you have two noobs who probably just got their Titans to Aegis Rank 5 on Hard mode.
"Legion can deal great amounts of damage to enemies"
*laughs in dreadnaught*
10:08 I remember a match where we had close to 5 nuke titans right up in the harvester’s face. It had barely any health despite having full shield. But someone popped a harvester shield and saved us from an L
I reckon harvester shield is just a safety net, in case there’s an unexpected hole in your défenses and enemies get too close before you can do anything to stop em
One thing to say about the 5 second Harvester invulnerability shield... Not only does it make the shield invulnerable for 5 seconds, but it also permanently restores the harvester shield back to full health, even after the 5 second invulnerability wears off. So it's actually fairly useful.
Ditto I often buy it ify teammates have put out a decent amount of sentries
Here's a list of tips I can give, based on each Titan (2 per class)
Ion
>1. Use Zero-energy Tripwire add spam the hell out of it. Most Titans won't go for attacking it and will walk into it when you're fighting them. Plus, with it costing no energy, you can use the energy for other stuff like splitter beams or laser shots.
>2. Don't rely solely on splitter beams for damage. Yes, it deals good damage; yes, there are aegis upgrades that increase the amount of energy you have at any time and reduce splitter beam costs, but here's the thing: if you spam nothing but splitter beams, you won't be dealing as much long range damage as you would with laser shots and having good defensive options like vortex shield. Yes, you can use, but don't make it the ONLY thing you use when spending energy.
Scorch
>1. Don't fight in open areas. Your attacks rely solely on strictly punishing enemies for going into chokepoints and column areas, so fight there. Most maps have good areas for you, while some don't have any at all (like Homestead). Don't battle titans in open areas, as you'll be unable to fight the flanking enemies fast enough.
>2. Electric smoke. Spam it. When you'rein a titan v titan fight, the AI will think you disappeared when you sit in electric smoke. Thus, this lets you ambush them and deal MASSIVE damage while being safe from enemy fire. Plus, with how stupidly fast you're gonna get flame core after flame core, you're gonna have plenty of ES's to play with
Northstar
>1. If your tank titans aren't your last line of defense, then YOU are. You're a sniper. Be that assassin that Titans will be shredded by because they got past your front lines
>2. You're a sniper, not a front line fighter. Most titans can never deal sufficient damage at the same range that you can. Don't try to go for close range kill (and yes, this includes terminations) unless you absolutely have to.
Ronin
>1. Highlander. Is. King. In PvP, it's a meh because it won't last long and most enemies don't clutter up their titans. In FD, however, it's a Titan v Titan buffet, and even without the Aegis upgrade that doubles its timer, with coordination, you can shred every titan in your range with just ONE sword core.
>2. Use electric smoke whenever you can. Damage dealt by it still adds to your core and with it, you can hide and farm up from quick core meter charge to start hacking and slashing
Tone *(though you most likely don't wanna play this one since it's not good in things other than 1v1 battles)*
>1. Constantly use Sonar Pulse. Not only do your fellow titans see what you see, and not only does it give you one lock tick on each titan in the radius, but there's also an aegis upgrade that basically turns it into jarate from Team fortress 2 (yes, the other TF2 game), making all enemies revealed by it take 25% extra damage (TWENTY. FIVE. PERCENT. "Now THAT'S a lotta damage!" ~Phil Swift), so unless it's only like one reaper or one titan before an onslaught arrive, there's no real reason to keep it waiting. Though be careful because cloak drones still hide titans under them, so be sure to kill them first.
>2. Practice maneuvering where your salvo core missiles go. As it turns out, there will be times when you use Salvo Core and your target is dead and you have extra missiles. The misses follow where you aim so work on practicing where they can go (maybe pull up a private match and play there for some time to get a good feel).
Legion
>1. If you're not playing as a final line of defense, pick another titan. Legion is THE titan that says "I am your last obstacle" to all the enemies who try to attack the harvester. He's giant, tough, slow, bulky, and has the power to stop all competition coming his way.
>2. Work on using BOTH firing types for the predator cannon. I used to think the long range type was just too good to ever use the short range, but as it turns out, both have good purposes. Annoying reaper on top of the star in Angel City? Use Long-Range. Got a bunch of Reapers coming in the area you're at? Short range charged shots will sweep them all up. Both range types are very good, so work on prioritizing when to swap the types.
And finally, Monarch *(Sadly, I think this one is the weakest of the titans because if you lose her in round 3, you're stuck with a titan who'll likely never reach the max upgrade core)*
>1. The all around best upgrade list is as follows: tier 1- Arc Rounds (enemies regular and harder WILL use defensive shields, and this will shred them like no tomorrow); tier 2- Maelstrom (drop just one smoke with this on top of a group of titans, ad you're 80% likely to get a full core charge in seconds); and tier 3- XO-16 Accelerator (increases damage, which stacks with arc rounds too so shields are goners, and increases firing rate all around, meaning you can deal MAD damage with it)
>2. Your best titan kits will be Counter-Ready and Energy Thief. Counter Ready gives you TWO ES's instead of 1 per core meter, and with Maelstrom (and an aegis upgrades that make the smokes give some shields to you and team mates in the smoke), that's an insane utility that cannot be overlooked. Energy thief rewards you for executing titans, and while it is discouraged to always execute them, it's also a good way to get cores fast, so go hogwild.
Now, here's one tip for all players in general when they see a Monarch on their team: STOP IGNORING THEIR SMOKES. If they drop an electric smoke on top of you, and there aren't enemies spawning near you, chances are they wanna give you some shields. Monarch is the only titan who can give themselves some shields, so if they're giving you an opportunity to get some free shields, DON'T WALK AWAY. I've played Monarch so much, but yet it pissed me the hell off when I say "group up with me for some shields" but yet NO ONE does so, thus leaving me to be the only one to gain shields.
Great guide
Very impressive. Thanks for the tips
I agree, but monarch’s arc rounds only affect ions vortex or scorched burn shield, so it doesn’t work against tone or legions shield
Welp which Legion kit might work best than
Finally, a person who knows how fd monarchs work, also, I'm planning on trying out each titan so this is a great guide to use. Thank you
Edit: I typically use superior chassis to increase the survivability of the monarch, but ig the accelerator is useful?
Me sneezes THE HARVESTER SHIELDS ARE ABSORBING DAMAGE
Г¬^|_ grunts ahhh ahhh
*THEY ARE TRYING TO CORNER US!*
Here's a tip with the Arc traps, Know where the choke points are. If you can identify the choke points, you can get a lot of Arc stuns. These also work as an alert that enemies are hearing the harvester the closer you put them to it
I'm a Monarch main and I wish everyone would watch this video.
Food
Me too man
Do you have a channel Ethan?
Agreed
same
I never realized that changing enemy colors on enemy name tags also changed the colors of the lights on enemy Titans! It's very strange seeing Titans with yellow lights run around...
people really have to share the batteries
one time i had a hair of health left and someone called out that the had a battery for you i was so happy that i would survive then i see him jump in his full health ronin and run away
A sinful player... May their batteries forever be stolen and their nuke ejects always hit nothing!
Kodomono and enemy nuke ejects always hit them
CasuallyGaming Or they'll kill a Titan before you can get a battery. Who cares if you got a kill. Not everyone got a battery. This is a COOPERATIVE mode, NOT a competitive mode.
Snake Sound ikr
Snake Sound yep
I love this video, but I have to disagree on the fact that you said scorch should be the last resort, I have had many moments where I was using and incinerary trap and got several titans to low health for my teammates to finish off, I personally think scorch is best in the front lines
Scorch can be absolutely lethal on the front lines if the map allows for it. War Games and Kodai are two that generally tend to favour Legion more, due to the more open nature of the maps. The reason why Scorch should be more of a backline support, if there is only one, is due to him only have 1 dash every 5 seconds at most. He doesn't have the speed to get in there and defend the harvester at the same time. Believe me, I've tried.
Scorch should not run too far away from the harvester, but the Main thing is locking down the lanes, if you can do that a bit from the harvester then Good.
Tyler Sommer I find that Scorch works really well on Wargames with its tight lanes and the AI constantly grouping up titans. Once your Aegis ranks are up, you can get around two to three cores in one solo group fight.
FB Kodai is also a nice map, considering the central building has a very tight lane to which nuke titans tend to go through quite often, however he can be very effective if played right (remember, Flame Core does have SOME range and can go through objects, so sometimes you gotta just chance it)
Rise allows Scorch to truly shine with all three lanes providing areas where he can stack the damage from his thermite traps and firewall to decimate the AI Titans. Just be careful from random drones.
Homestead is more of a black sheep imo, though the abundence of Nuke Titans that travel all three lanes simultaniously can allow for a cool fireworks display.
Blackwater Canal is good.
Lanes are good.
Not much to say here, its just good.
Tl;Dr: Scorch is your titan killer by FAR. He gets his core faster due to AoE and Stacking Damage, as well as his Aegis Perk of Thermite Damage providing a core multiplier for even faster generation. His lack of range makes his illsuited for a backline role and the AI mostly avoids preplaced Thermite Traps.
I personally use Overcore and Tempered Plating on my Scorch, since I tend to use the firewall and traps as active sources of damage and it works very well. Add that with instant Smoke and fast core regen and you'll be throwing down Flame Cores for days.
Pro Tip: AI wont shoot through electric smoke or anything in it. Abuse that.
I am a Legion main and uhh... this youtuber did about three things wrong with this Titan. So... Legion shouldn't be in the back with his long range node because it cuts his ammo reserves in half. Legion should be absording damage with his shield especialy with the Redirect power upgrade.
Making sure that Scorch is a lane destroyer while legion is absorbing damage with his shield.
I can harshly disagree with the part about the grapple and stim not being useful because if you get the grapple down and you learn how to move better with advanced movements you can cover the map pretty fast and it’s great for rodeos
A good way too deal with drones is scorch's flame shield
Here are a few notes.
Firstly, the Arc Traps only STUN enemies, not DAMAGE or KILL enemies. You can only stop a enemy titan when it walks over arc traps when a titan is nearby to finish it off. So, when a nuke titan is about to blow up near the Harvester, your final line of defense is the Harvester Shield Boost. 5 seconds is enough when you activate it at the last millisecond, before the nuke titan blows up. So, the arc traps don't STOP enemies, so sometimes you may need a Harvester Shield Boost.
This was genuinely super useful to this day! Cheers
Thx for the tips for Ronin.
thanks for the assist comrade, im always looking for new ways to improve my gameplay
Auto-titans are actually great for the plasma drone waves on hard difficulty. You can make short work of the drones as a pilot if you're a good shot and your Titan can help the team as well. Pilots can also easily get to the mortar spectres a lot easier
Being on foot for short periods of time for moments such as you mention is totally fine, we were referring to people who leave the titan alone the whole match.
+HCF249 Or dumbasses who don't even CALL IN their damn titan.... yes, they exist....
Harvester shield is (in my opinion) used in higher difficulties when a Nuke Titan has slipped through and is about to detonate on your harvester. It is expensive, but it will save your harvester from MASSIVE damage.
The Arc Ronins are immune to the arc traps, so if your team has arc traps set-up everywhere, Nuke titans won't be a problem but you have to prioritize enemies that won't trip them like the flying drones and arc titans.
If you and your team have a bunch of turrets out (just keep them repaired), the little enemies won't be a problem, so you can just focus on killing titans and trust your turrets to handle the rest.
Didn't think about picking up the grunts' weapons. Thanks for the tip
Finally got to play this mode! It was a relaxing and good experience.
shield boost is good on wave 5 on the very high difficultys. it can seriously clutch matches when your being pushed back an over-run. I've had shield boost literally save games from the brink of defeate by buying the team just enough time to push back the onslaught. plus it leaves you with the harvesters shield fully recharged which is nice
Pretty simple and effective strategy is learning where the AI spawns each round in each map. You will obliterate the AI providing all your other teammates get into the right positions of the map.
Wow this helped soooo much thanks bro
Great guide it helps me a lot ;)
Thx for the Monarch tips it really helped me thx😁
Happy I could help :). I’ve got more videos on the channel so be sure to subscribe
TrickyAcidGaming thank you
Thanks for the helpful tips
This really helps me figure out what I’m doin wrong
Those captions in the beginning are pure gold. You have to try it
Sentrys are the holy grail of grunt and drone removal
Played Frontier Defense since TF1, and when I heard it come out for TF2, I was gonna fall in love again. I always play heavies, as an ogre with the XO-16 accompanied with an accelerator, or the Legion. Both titans always are equipped with nuke core, and damage boosts, so when the enemy gets close you can really shred them up. Sadly I always get placed in matches where I may have to scout and be offensive from time to time.
The nuke core, and harvester shield is the best combo, as when my lane gets overrun and everyone else does as well, I retreat to the harvester, and when the enemies near it, I let it rip. This is best when nuke titans come in, as using the nuke core kills them before they even get the chance to nuke and the shield gives a temporary invulnerability to the harvester shield, making it amazing at clutches. I always have 2 of these end game, along with arc mines and amped weapons. Also, never be ashamed to rodeo a line of nuke titans, as I have dare devil a lot of it, and got the front of them, it always helped if cloaked as that helps buy time and when they nuke it stalls the others. (But if you are a high enough level, using anti-titan weapons are better). Titans are just big clumsy tanks, use their size to your advantage, and use the AI route as well, if you have a suckish team you can still make it. Just remember that if people don't have mics, there are many who know their roles.
Lastly doomed state titans, if there's a monarch nearby you, pop a shield, or smoke so the enemy won't really shoot you, let the monarch take the kill, and focus on other titans until they are in doom state, rinse and repeat. If there is no monarch in the team, don't execute when there is a group, they will damage you as you execute, and you will lose time. I love executing just as much as everyone else, but most the points made in this video are right, and doing an execution will use up time which you can use to help hold off other enemies. As I play legion I never use the gun shield until I need to reload, and I only use the power shots in certain situations, the shotgun blast is amazing at crowd control while the power shot is the little baby North star Cannon.
phase shift might not be all that useful, but on certain maps, it can be a lifesaver - if you're in a covered map with roofs and such above you, and you have nuclear eject equipped, a phase (if easily timed right) can save you and potentially knock out a cluster of enemies
Tricky when you are good with the charge rifle your a god with it
I do beg to differ about the charge rifle not being good...I've only lost three public games using it. Maybe I just had good teams, but the charge rifle is amazing if you pair it with the right loadout (for me, SMR and RE-45), and then use it from a distance.
Chris Hamilton Same. Charge rifle is extremly good and puts out more damage with the hack upgrade to make it shoot twice as fast.
I find the mgl to do more dps to Titans than any other anti titan
While Charge riffle is good, Thunderbolt simply dominates the match. Since the enemy titans are all clustered up, the charge will deal massive damage to every titan and will charge your titan very quickly.
I like this video. It really sums up all you need to know. For another video idea on frontier Defence, could you show some good strategies for a better game. Exp. In Rise map, I put 2 turrets on the bridge in the middle of the map facing east, (harvester is south of map) the I put ark traps on the ground just as titans leave that cave area, its the best strategy for the final wave, you just have to keep repairing them. You can also talk about the types of titans, what they do, and how to deal with them. Ark titans, motor titans, etc.
I like monarch cause you can basically stay alive the entire game
Untill master mode.
Thanks this helps alot!
Let's forget monarchs role as support and healer, if I'm realistic from my experience unless your in a 4 man and you actually communicate then yes by all means go for it, but if your most likely playing by yourself and you use monarch I would suggest the build I use in order to help your team the best as you can literally melt titans, I use extra dash to be more mobile and can save you lots of damage if you can dodge into cover, use energy thief to keep your self alive but don't get to cocky with executions even if you really need the bar of health don't go spamming melee in the heat of a battle if you can't see what's going on your screen just relax because most likely the enemy has dodged backwards and your just punching the air.
First use arc rounds as your first core ability, this will increase damage, use maelstorm when your against a group of titans and when you use it always sit in it for a little bit to regenerate shields, lastly use xo-16 accelerator, this will allow you to literally melt titans as monarch.
Use monarch effectively along with his rearm and other abilities and you can be dangerously powerful.
Very decent way of using Monarch. As her gun is actually really solid she performs really well even in a support role (I do a mix personally). One needs to be careful in the smoke though. It heals gradually and decently for sure, but it's not enough to tank excessive hits. Pretty sure you already knew that one, you sound like someone who's been around the Frontier a few times =p
Kodomono Yeah in the smoke I get a small amount of shield before I back off. I have been playing FD all day since yesterday but just 2hours ago i have been using ronin and omg ronin I think I'm convinced it's the best titan in FD, if used correctly it can be the most dangerous titan in FD, mostly because ronin can keep his core as he kills titans and he is very mobile and with the aegis level 20 to have sword core hits generating shields, I think you can become unstoppable, but eventually you die as ronin as your health pool is so small so you end your destruction with a nuke and kill about 7 titan all in one go in the process it's amazing what ronin can do. It's that good I'd love to see a video him being used.
You surprise me there. I didn't think Ronin would be as useful simply because of that low HP count. I'll have to try him out before making the next video for this channel. I'm not particularly good with Ronin (Or any game for that matter, spoilers), but seeing as you've given him a glowing review I'll have to put in some extra work and see for myself =) Thank you! I'm glad you've recommended him haha
Kodomono Well don't get me wrong he does take effort to pull off what you can with him, it's obviously a lot more laid back to use legion for example but if you can use ronin to his maximum ability, then I think he is the most powerful.
He's Aegis Level 0 so I have some work to do haha! The video is planned for release this weekend, but I won't have a lot of time to level Ronin too much shamefully. I'll do what I can =>
One time I nuke rodeoded a nuke titan and killed three titans, one of which was a nuke titan whom went nuclear due to my rodeo and killed another four titans - 7 titans down baby!
The best thing to do with the nuke rodeo is rodeo a nuke titan on the maps with dozens of them. It's so satisfying to see all those nuke titans exploding below you at once
My favorite thing to do with nuke rodeo is do it with several nuke titans right next to each other and it will make a beautiful chain explosion
My boy the Rock!
I actually think maybe Phase Shift works really well for Frontier Defense considering that it allows you to survive a nuke titan if you have no cover.
A really good tip for fighting hoards of drones is spam amp wall thunderbolt balls and it will wipe out a lot of drones quick if you send it between them all.
great tips
Be sure to subscribe because we have another video on Titan loadouts for Frontier Defence coming over the weekend =)
FYI we need to use executions but only monarch to allow it to keep itself and friendlies
Nice video :)
Does anybody else just get games in progress I haven't had a fresh game in 23 games
If you solo queue you have a much higher chance of gettin games in progress, if you can find a friend to squad up with you'll be more likely to find fresh matches.
HCF249 I've solo queued about 15 times and have always gotten fresh games.
Guess you're one of the lucky ones.
go to invite. network next to find games 7 out of 10 times it will put u in a fresh game
we did 15 games last night with 2 people and always started a new one. guess your chances with a party are better. great fun this game
The best spots for a pilot sentry in on the moutain across the harvested with an arce trap and the area where titans come through the front. Put an arce trap in where titans come in from with a century terent to the right up against the wall I USUALLY GET IT IN THE SECOND OR THIRD ROUNDS
Thanks for this man i feel like I may have a chance now in higher levels
All the best of luck to you =)
Yes thanx

Scorch and Legion are so OP after Aegis upgrades it’s insane
*laughs in dreadnaught*
I just recently got my Legion to max Aegis rank. And right now "Last line of Defense" for the harvester is an understatement
Really? What platform?
thanks i play monarch i was constantly losing but when i changed my cores to heal i was almost always wining by staying back and healing
Started playing Scorch and got dominated in fd. After watching this I have aegis rank 15 and only difficulty I havent done is Master due to random teams and poor communication. Awesome vid!
Scorch is by far the strongest titan in FD.
@@asdfasdf-mn8iu No, Legion is the second, who basically ties with Scorch.
@@justsometitanfallenjoyer.2043 Then perhaps either i haven't seen good enough legion players or you haven't seen a proper scorch player. If you give scorch a lane with a chokepoint and don't divert enemy titans all the time, he'll roast everything, his DPS for single-target is insane already and he does a lot of it in an AoE too. Ult is ready faster than any other titan's and also hits several titans, also stronger in FD than legion's (who mostly gains infinite ammo during ult, hitting stuff is really not hard in FD). On the highest difficulties enemy titans shoot back, which makes legion better with the shield, but scorch can always peak and shoot, because his abilities have a duration and he needs to reload anyway.
I haven't leveled legion up to aegis rank 15 or what's the last set of abilities, so perhaps that changes stuff too, but scorch is viable as he is from aegis rank 1 on and gets a power spike on getting his 2nd shot.
@@asdfasdf-mn8iu Legion, if played as a frontline Titan, can be very difficult to bring to the Doomed state, and when played as a defensive unit, is able to stop most damage from occurring to the harvester.
My opinion is that you should equip the phase embark for faster get-in into your titan for lesser time to consume than a regular embark.
Sir Breath- a-lot It helps when you need to steal a battery.
I can’t count how many times I keep dying to nuke titans because people doom them before I’m clear
Oh man I wish it would still be like this, because now my team mates always try and steal kills, kill a titan while I'm on it and steal my batteries
My #1 tip is LET YOUR MONARCH EXECUTE TITANS!!!!! A full cored monarch is a massive benefit to the team. Stop being greedy and if you have a monarch helping with your target, let them get that battery. They give up their own healing to heal you, let them heal for themselves.
I Fort Arc traps exploded thanks for the video
Nice reference to the rock
Its also a tip,a full scorch team or legion team will get you a win almost everytime
Tank you it helpt
Fd is easy on certain maps. But dry dock to me is very hard because to me I want the team to stay back to guard unlike others can have line of your team not letting anyone go past
LSTAR is a great weapon too
titan executions regardless useless or not gives bonus points slightly so to me its worth it in this mode. but i do agree that it does help you from getting any more damage during the execution.
Davis in game: Good luck team!
Subtitles: Do I pee.
TONE IS LIFE
TheTrickyAcid may I ask what skin is it that you have on your monarch in this video
I useing Mornach and I can cower one side of map by myself. My maximum of destroyed Titans are 36.
Also Arc Titans are kile snacks and big one's shoot with defense ability to restore more shild!
I disagree with saving a doomed Titan not being worth it, specifically in Monarch's case. A Ronin or Northstar is easily recycled and probably even has a nuclear kit, foreseeing their demise being squishier types. For Tanks, it really depends on the round you're on if you need the Tank from start to finish. However, in Monarch's case, you want to keep her alive if you can spare any attention or resources to do so because the longer she's alive, the more useful she is as dying will reset her upgrade tier.
Ronin and Monarch, should be the only ones executing due to Ronin's low ammo capacity, and Monarch's battery thief. Or if your Northstar and you find yourself way too close to an enemy for comfort.
The only reason exicutions are exeptable is if your doing it for an in game challenge, your playing as monarch, you run out of amo and have to reload, or your playing a multiplayer game and there is a pilot inside the titan.
I like monarch but I’m not a healer I prefer arc rounds or the upgraded salvo
you can still use the archer against cloaked titans, you just have to take out the cloak drone first, archer can lock on to cloak drones and with a faster reload perk you dont waste time reloading.....archer is god tier in my opinion
If you take out the cloak drone first, then it is no longer a cloaked titan now is it? ;)
Lol
Same
I only execute if-
I'm going for the skin, witch only takes me a match or two.
Or if I'm Ronin and close range. The lead wall does not kill enemies in doomed state to quickly, so I just execute.
Or if I'm Monarch.
Monarch is the Sanin, Tsunade (Naruto) of Titanfall 2. She is a healer that can fight on the front lines.🙃
Ok so I use Ronin and as long as there are no friendly Monarchs around I always execute enemy titans. 4 leadwall rounds and an arc wave usually take 1 bar of health, dash into cover, rinse and repeat. But once the enemy reaches a doomed state, either leg it cuz it’s a nuke titan or execute. You wanna know why? Cuz every moment u spend sending another arc wave or leadwall shot at the enemy, ur leaving them as a liability. I’m usually super aggressive with Ronin and in enemies’ faces so I take a little bit of damage for every takedown. So “pro” tip, go for the execution. You’re saving time, hp, time to recharge (phase shift, dash, arc wave), and it gives you a moment to plan your next move. Oh and it looks really cool.
If I know it’s a one direction map I use legion if I need mobility and multiple flank directions I use monarch
Executions can also block lanes for a short time and draw enemy fire i dont mind them as long as your not killing yourself to do it Dont know why you said the shield boost is a waste its a last resort kinda like insurance it comes in handy especially when your over run with arc titans
Executions are seldom worthwhile unless you're Monarch with Energy Thief. Chances are if you need Shield Boost your team hasn't set up Arc Traps effectively and haven't stuck to respective lanes. Sometimes random team mates are just awful though, and there isn't a fix for stupid!
Disagree about charge rifle not being a good choice. Once you unlock the charge hack it fires quickly, is very accurate, and never needs to be reloaded. It won't take out a whole group of titans quickly but it will allow you to quickly build up your titan meter. Otherwise, good stuff.
I'm a ronin player and usually I go out Titan killing but I mainly do it to defend the Harvester try not to let them get close and if they do my other teammates finish them off because they either will be low Health do to me slashing at them with my sword or that I failed and died due to being overrun with titans and from what I could tell they appreciated that because they usually gave me batteries when I don't have money and my Titan is on fire
A Monarch in frontier defense is hell
Know your role!!!
This video still has good tips even though it's 4 years old
TF2 pilot ability's ageis upgrades:
these are earned at the same time as you earn titan ageis ranks except pilot ageis ranks take twice as long to achieve ( 20 more ageis merits and 40 in total per lvl)
each ability has 6 levels (5 upgrades as you start at lvl 1)
level 3 for all abilities is faster cooldown
level 5 for all abilities is an extra charge
grapple:
lvl 2: grapple reaches further distances
lvl 4: grapple will infinitely grapple until button/key is released
lvl 6: grappling anything will recharge your double jump
holo pilot:
lvl 2: holo pilot has 500 hp, will be targeted by
any a.i. unit first and remains indefinitely until destroyed
lvl 4: holo pilot will jump and mantle obstacles infront of it
lvl 6: holopilot will explode when destroyed or when it hits an enemy (explosion of frag grenade)
A-wall:
lvl 2: a-wall is bulletproof cover on both sides for enemys and can be shot through on both sides by friendies
lvl 4: a-wall and arc traps can be thrown much further
lvl 5: a-wall becomes a dome of cover
phase shift:
lvl 2: enemies leave a blue hue where they were when phase shift was activated (like in effect and cause) and all of the HUD remains when phasing
lvl 4: health slowly regens when phased
lvl 6: when phased you move at the speed of a stimmed pilot but health regens at the sane speed
stim:
lvl 2: stim significantly increases weapon reload and handling speed when in use
lvl 4: the health regen speed of stim is doubled and the regen delay is halfed, stim renders user immune to arc damage and slowing effects
lvl 6: the duration of stim is doubled
pulse blade:
lvl 2: all enemies revealed by pulse blade take 25% more damage while affected
lvl 4: pulse blade deals 500 damage and arc stuns any enemy it doesn't kill and can damage every enemy type (including titans and reapers)
lvl 6: killing any enemy with the pulse blade immediately refunds the cooldown of the ability
cloak:
lvl 2: enemys cannot see you when cloaked despite proximity or movement and low profile is aplied when you use cloak
lvl 4: an immobile, standing holo pilot decoy is created when cloak is used that a.i. will target
lvl 6: shooting weapons when cloaked does not end cloak or reveal your position
This was made by a 14 yr old in an hour, let me know what u think or should be changed I doubt any of these changes would be made, but if u don't shoot u can't score
I still fire this up alot. Going to after work in fact.
You're still playing! Loyal fan!
However, Amped Batteries are good for upgraded Monarchs. If you don't want to lose your upgrades.
You ever seen a player who just selects legion and lets them cook on their own near the harvester so that they can be a battery goblin and steal batteries for the team? If not, then now you have.
Tip bring back a core 3 monarch it is worth the amped battery
Btw if there is a player monarch the only one that can nerf him is either ion, scorch, or Legion
Had someone today sit back in Hard mode and spam Laser heavy weapon on the Desert Complex and dropping his scorch in autotitan mode - blocking n stealing my kills on nuke titan's as I tether n destroy their health over time as North Star to prevent the left lane from being overrun, sharing my money and he bought an turret both times on retry over shield boost.
Ok,completely serious question,i need answers, which is better as a auto titan, scorch or legion?
MGL + softball is goated
You know how ancient Greeks fought their enemies in a tight grid shield wall formation? Same tactic with only tones or legions in frontier defense and don't let yourself get surrounded
I hate it when I’m a monarch with a sliver of health and I have energy steal, but a max health teammate steals the execution on a titan I killed myself. I remember when a friendly legion blocked my entire salvo core in Standard MP
Know you role! I could smell... What the rock... was cookin
