1/6 scale Camaro SS/RS 396 build

This is the idea session on how I do a scratch build replicating my real SS/RS396/375 L-89 ( factory aluminum heads ) Camaro convertible, I opened the parts box and threw some parts in a pile to start.

I've built a 1/6 hummer using a Newbright body. I also used a Liberty diecast Chevrolet engine but I didn't put the motor inside it. I used a GCM scale transmission (1/10 scale)and an 80 turn motor. It's a crawler so it goes a little faster than a brisk walk. Looks great with the hood open! Good luck and I can't wait to see your results!

The neighbors might appreciate a quieter build too. The brushless motor fit in that diecast engine really well. Are you thinking of building this out to look really scale or just trying to make a smaller version of your real one?

I built a frame that will fit the petrol and brushless power plants. the V8 might be a little big to fit in the Camaro, but I like a big engine in a smaller body lol!

The diecast engines are mostly screwed together with small Philips screws and some parts are glued also.

Its about 406mm 16 inch wheelbase, The Camaro is 1/6 scale and pretty big

Use a hobao vte or gte kit for all the parts you need denny. They are 8th scale but you could make it work and they are not too pricey as a kit. Rtr they are 400 bucks
