Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

The frog and the bird are amazing. I’m really kind of blown away.
To help with the part of programming you haven't got.
It's just SR latch. Which sounds fancy. But it's like 3 gates. And it's whole function is when you turn it on, it's on now. You've set it. Like "fly mode on". Now that it's on, using that your program animation.
Then you reset it, with another key press. That turns it off. And you can have another Sr latch that turns on when your main one turns off and vice versa. A quick Google of SR latch and your programming and creations will jump through the roof
That bird, wow! I am definitely impressed, awestruck even, very creative and talented!
I have an idea for a future Multiplayer Monday. Basketball, you each build a contraption capable of throwing a standard "ball" and see who's creation takes the fewest number of tries to put the projectile through a ring. You could even do an evolution style build with multiple rounds to improve on the build. Maybe limit each round to 3 shots, 3 points for a hole in one, 2 for getting it on the second try, 1 for the third attempt and none if you fail to make the shot.

The Feranis looks kind of like a miniature spacecraft. Since it can ascend slowly at a steady rate, it would probably be able to exit atmo without much strain
If you want multiple controls to move one steering hinge at different angles, just do a or gate that connects to the steering hinge and change the output depending on what angle :)
Funfact: Territory birds with mountain glider wings. Normally use wind velocity to keep in the air. When they want to land. They reverse flap.

I watched a Veritasium video about a robot that can jump really, really high by compressing three bendy poles around itself and then releasing.
it would be really cool to recreate that, either here in Trailmakers or in Instruments of Destruction

IDEA: magnetic shipping crate bombing (Multiplayer Monday) each player build a creation that can pick up a shipping crate and bonnet on a select target

That worm creation could be used in multiplayer challenge similar to Tron bikes, where you're trying to cross opponents within an arena, like in that game

Dang I spent 18 hours a few days ago making a VTOL to get a spot in a video, even met Metalburger in one of my games (he was using his bald eagle) but no luck this time around 😅😭 still love the videos ScrapMan! -FlexLuthor
I don't have a bald eagle, that probably was Kousoulakis with his Warbird xD
We often play in the same server, though, I figure it's easy to get us mixed up!

13:22 Instead using hinge binding, use logic gates, there is a slider from -1 all the way through to +1. You can set your hinge for 90 degrees and 0.5 logic gate ''power'' will do 45 degrees, pretty sure. It can be tricky tho.
That bird is seriously impressive but I love the mecha too. As a suggestion you should play BeamNG again, I feel like there's a lot of potential there and there's even a multiplayer mod! Love your content and style, I Like all your videos!

Here is an idea, breaking the sound barrier with just suspension alone, nothing but suspension, don’t think I will be up for the challenge but I thought it might be a hard thing to do

I have a scrap mechanic vid idea:
You each have a preset car, and you all have to build a track for those cars to race on, I think it'd be pretty...interesting to say the least

Day 79 of asking scrapman to do a multiplayer monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot set up in the mechanic station, and everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, no glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races along some road :)

Hello, I know it may be a little much to ask that you possibly show a few clips of you typing in the name for each creation in the gallery search bar, might just be because I'm on console, but fsr I rarely can seem to actually find these creations when I search for them.
