Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

I found out about this plane/bomb yesterday called the aerial torpedo, or “bug”. It is basically an unmanned plane bomb that detaches its wings and becomes a bomb. I thought it would be cool for you to build in Trailmakers :)
Me and my grandad would talk about that thing for hours! Thank you for that memory, he was great :D

That is probably the simplest of Kaz's planes. I met them ingame many months ago when I first started playing and they had so many beautiful aircraft... really made me step up my plane game.

6:50 I'm pretty sure that it's the first robot you get in war robots, or at least, it looks pretty similar, even if that wasn't intentional.
Exactly. And tbh if he wanted to give it a transformer function he coulda made the infi fire turret swap with the slower cannons. Do you know that series of robots that switches? This was probably a recreation of the Griffin robot which has 4 light attachments and can fly.
@@shoodler yeah you’re probably right. Now that I look again it does look more like a griffin, especially since it has 4 weapons.
At 6:54 I’m pretty sure that that’s a war robot from the game.

Being a transformers fan this brightens my day...or should I say night.
16:00 interesting... suspension glitch but with pistons so it doesn't tp you under the map.
First and last ones are my faves. That Veratek jet is phenomenal. VTOL is NOT EASY when doing it with only thrusters.
I think it would be fun to go down memory lane, maybe u should do a video showcasing Ur favourite builds, the one u found the hardest or even the easiest.

watching that Optimus Prime mess up going back into a truck made me wonder if any of the transformers ever got stuck mid-transform and had to try to transform multiple times.
I build a bunch of custom suspension in Trailmakers, and I thought it would be cool if you looked up custom suspension to see what other stuff there is.

I found the Talon in the workshop yesterday, for having been build before gyros or integrated control surfaces this thing flies fantastically.

Idea for Multiplayer Monday - Converting Creations.
A car that converts/transforms into another - car/boat seems easiest.
Both forms must be able to operate and (at least superficially) resemble what they convert into.
- ie. no just building a floating car and calling it a boat, it has to look like a boat.
4:18 hotwheels when you put them in the freezer
1:26 in the old comics or animations the transformers couldnt transform on there own they needed a transformation cog or
t-cog to transform and to get it u needed surgery... and the newbies kept getting stuck half way

I noticed that at 3:35, when he was flying up into the air from the barrel, he started out at 210 KPH, but got up all the way to 290 at 3:41.
If you notice carefully, there's a gimbal jet
Gimbal jets are actually insanely strong if your build isnt heavy. If you make a creation completely out of gimbal jets and the lightest building pieces in the game, you can break the sound barrier easily.
The first small one was really good.
Love how he put the same creation in the thumbnail of a vid 5 years ago, even a simmilar pose and format.

You could maybe make some type of jetpack joyride inspired creation using the triple gun thing since it provides so much recoil

With the iron hide build. If you watch the movies when they first transform they take age’s yet when they go back to vehicle it’s like a split second 😆
The fireworks on 4th of July were so bad, the lightbulb in my overhead ceiling fan got disconnected and turned off suddenly.

2:23 I would have had the front of the car kinda split in half where the engine is and have the hood pop up for the head of the transformer to be there. *Just saying, that’s just my opinion:D*

There’s options to Choose what to transform into for the chaotic one
It wasn't actually featured, nor do I know if it was featured in the past...but I do like 404 NOt fOuND's '404Prototype' a lot. Not as fancy as Kaz's plane, but it's the same deal: it's a flying vehicle with a VTOL mode and a 'plane' mode. Reminds me a lot of Strike Vector.

9:57 this robot mode looks like bastion from overarching you can even see moss from the mossy style it's even got the gun on the back but I don't think bastion was the inspiration but this robot mode even has the same colors
