Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Thanks for checking out my ikran! Glad you liked it. One thing you missed on the showcase is the bioluminescence. You can kinda see it when you went through a shadow on 5:31 though

@@stopcontact4005 decals lights up when in shadow; its a bug, but this is a nice usecase

@@jacuj i know, but it's not that. The bio is glow blocks obstructed by decals to give specific glow paterns
Fun fact, the last plane is a french Rafale with an airshow livery and it does have a navalised version, so scrapman was right to make it take-off from the carrier.
And the bombs were just drop tanks
I dont know if scrapman knows but those tubes are to remove the drag on the plane, you can see it covers half of the front wheel so when its inside the plane the bottom also doesnt create drag

That last jet creation looks like the Windows 3D Pipes Screensaver when in build mode. Anyone else remember those?
I thought ScrapMan was ganna build something in this video but i am not dissapointed,there hasnt been a workshop episode for a while.

@@ThePepsiCrusader I still tend to go back to wshop hunters playlist and watch old videos. They are kinda timeless. And I’m old. I’m 34 and watch Scrapman. Imagine that.
For trailmakers multiplayer, you should each make jets, each player takes turns flying their jet, while the others are missiles chasing them trying to blow them up.

The alarm on the last plane is the stall warning. God knows I've heard it enough times playing flight sims. Speaking of which, you should play some sometime
The alarm was probably a stall prevention system using an altitude and speed sensor

18:13 I believe these are the additional fuel tanks... Usually, installed during patrol and dropped before an actual fight.

@@akula2828 They said fight not flight, you drop them to save weight so you have more manoeuvrability and a little extra speed.

Those things that You described as not aerodinamically sound are additional fuel tanks that are meant to be dropped either after they are empty or if you go into a battle to get rid of useless weight. Just a cool random fact about fighter jets.

Nice Video! I think that the two grey things you released from the Dassault Rafale C are Fuel canister and not bombs.

building with a lot of details would sometimes just be boring to watch i think, it takes me up to 12 hours for a creation and mine are not nearly as crazy as some in this video.
18:20 this tanks are external fuel tanks, most aircraft have them for long missions, when they are empty depending on the situation, they are dropped

Honestly the Ikran was my favorite. I have a similar build of the Ikran and the Toruk but mine use hidden mini thrusters and sails as wings. Similar effect

18:11 these are nit bombs, they are additional fuel tanks, usually they are dropped after they are empty to lower weight for landing

Outstanding for me: ... Loads in as a pretty impressive oil refinery ;) ... transforms into a fighter jet shaped realistically enough to be clearly recognizable ... and its fully functional. Wow! Mind blown. Great job!

Multiplayer Monday idea where you build an evasive aircraft while the others use the ICBM to shoot you down from preset locations
The m2 strider reminds me of the icon for that flat map in trailmakers
Fun fact, did you know pinguïns have knees, they are concealed by feathers.
That aircraft was a Dassault Rafale M 4th gen delta winged desing fighter jet from france! The fuel tanks can be dropped incase of a dogfight (1v1) since they limit the manueverability of the aircraft!

Scrapman, this weird detaching is a glitch called „NoDragGlitch“ and the glitch is more like an exploit and as in the name, you have no drag so you fly REALY fast.
You already looked at the hunch back, you know why, cause I watched the old video when you shocased it yesterday😂 You know it's a good creation when you get it again!
perhaps the last plane had a stall alarm that only activates when not on the ground, because it activated when he pitched up aggressively and when he fell over on the runway
id be pretty cool to put a random block in the converging car so you can see it freak out

That first walker almost seems like it's a HBK-4G Hunchback from Battletech without the big GFY shoulder cannon... which is the whole goddamn point of the HBK mechs

18:22 Those gray long things on the aircrafts are not bombs but external fuel tanks. Figher jets use them and once theyre empty they can drop them like that.

Idea: flying or hover Mech battle for multiplayer Monday in Trailmakers. Choose the Mechs other players built not what you and your friends built. For ex you Scrapman fight with the 2nd Mech from this video. That mech was so cute (with it's moving ears) and dangerous at the same time.

Multiplayer Monday idea: 4 people, two teams, 1 player in 1 team builds the left side of the car without the other partner knowing what they are building and the player 2 in the same team builds the other side without letting player 1 know what they are doing, the other team does the same thing. When done building, weld the two sides together and race the vehicles made by the two(doesn’t need to be 2) teams.

I think the alarm means fuel low since it happens every time you drop the fuel tanks
I think the 18:26 things next to the bombs and missal’s are droppable fuel tanks like on the air crafts in the Air Force

0:21 First mech did have knees, they were just built in pistons acting like shocks you could see them moving each step.

Since i discovered how good sails are for planes i have never built planes with wings sails will keep a plane 100% level no matter what. You also stop turning imediatly after you stop holding the button
Those big tubes under the wings are actually drop tanks; they carry extra fuel and it is standard procedure to drop them just before going into a dogfight, so as to lose weight and gain speed and maneuverability, hence the creator of this aircraft made this possible.
The alarm for the last one was probably signaling that you were stalling

I think what you dropped were supposed to be fuel tanks. Some Planes can be equipped with external fuel tanks to increase flight range.
The Choo Choo Charles creation is using mini thrusters for foreward momentum and a heli engine to turn, but I don't mind
Day 117 of asking for a Multiplayer Monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot in the mechanic station. Everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, gathering their own materials. No glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races their builds

Hey scrap man with the ford gt 40 when the back opens put some weapons in there so when the back opens up, you can fire the weapons
I made a massive dragon ornithopter using sail pieces (on Xbox). It works extremely well without any assistance from things like jets or gimbals, easily reaching 150 mph/kph just by flapping its gargantuan wings. And it works on any map.
If you want to make an ornithopter, start with sail parts! :D
Is there the same on Playstation? Or a video tutorial to do one?
