About Trailmakers:
In the toughest motoring expedition in the universe, you and your friends will build your own vehicles to cross a dangerous wasteland. Explore, crash horribly, use your wits to build a better rig, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find on your way.
Welcome to the Ultimate Expedition!
Journey over grueling mountains, hazardous swamps, and bone-dry deserts on a distant world far from civilization - it is just you, your fellow adventurers and the amazing, jet-powered hover-buggy you built yourself. Explore, crash your vehicle, build a better one, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find along your way.
Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Imagine you are at a harbour and then a freaking *Helicopter* comes out of the water. I’d be both impressed and terrified.
😂😂😂😂same Bro
totally understandable, especially if that thing would be armed with like missiles or other stuff.
Like bro was flying underwater
*RUN*
Yes RUN
I've been watching your content for SO many years, thought it was time to show my appreciation for once!
Scrapman is the best.
Glad to have you watching, thanks so much!
I always hated him as kid, but now as a teenager I love him thanks for the vids
One of my fav channels. keep up the good content!
Damn I have never seen someone donating more than $5 to a CZcams. Good on ya
There are more helicopters underwater than submarines in the sky, but Scrapman works on fixing that
Wow
Haha
Nothing beats a building video in my opinion (I'm an engineer guess I am a bit biased). I really do enjoy watching you build and solve the issues that comes with it. Thank you
I completely agree! These are the very best of his content
Same, i hate all the hide and seek vids
I cant take u seriosuly with that photo pls dont change it its cool
@@vonknorring09 hate is a strong word
@@1mg1fastfood i srongly dislike them then
Day 23 of asking scarpman to do a battleship evolution
Can’t stress enough how much i still enjoy your content after all these years.. Thanks Scrapman
He prob changed the content but not the execution

Scrapman is the best trailmaker CZcamsr ever
Yes
+1
*best CZcamsr ever
Trailman
@@PoyoMC_ Debatable.
This would have been a great vehicle for the survival mode campaign you played a while ago where you had to collect items from the surface and under water.
-"There's more helicopters in the ocean than submarines in the sky"
Scrapman: bet.
You should make custom props using paddles a d small modular wings with steering hinges for angling them, that way when your in the air you can have lift and in the water you can have forward force.
11:15 Pro tip for the future: Add logic gates with output less than 1 on toggle (you gotta fine tune this) to activate heli engines for hover/slow sink mode. It will make your landings way smoother.
The Flying Goldfish feels fitting for a name for some reason lol.
Best name so far XD
I just remembered this channel after years you've made my childhood, quality only improved after 3 years aswell
I think that a design similar to the V-22 osprey would work pretty good
I would name this marvelous machine the “S.H.O.F.S.”, or the “Submersible Helicopter Or Flying Submarine”
for the helicopter
Name: Sea Minnow SH-16 (16 comes from the 16 minute video time)
Description: Designed as a search and Rescue Helicopter, it can go in both air and water by pivoting it's main rotors toward the front of the craft, making it have propulsion from the main thrust even when in water, with the addition of a Reaction Wheel so the Sea Minnow can have an easy time with yaw control while still staying compact so that there is less weight to deal with when in the air. This Helicopter, with the aid of a good pilot, can go in tight areas where most might not be able to reach, along with reaching underwater areas to easily save whoever it is in distress. (this craft can also be used for exploration purposes due to the performance)
here you go Scrap Man, i hope you enjoy the idea!!
Imagine just enjoying your day at the sea then you see a helicopter doing a dolphin dive out of water 😭
You could automate the transition by placing an altitude sensor on your subcopter and setting it to sea level
“… the water has a lot more resistance in the air…” quote from scrapman
Can we apreciate the fact that when workshop day 1 was opened there was like basic things for ppl and now ITS this (ofc there is ppl still making things to help others ) but this is just creativity at its finest
Dragster seat with 5 sets of spiked wheels and a booster on top.
If you ever run out of ideas, have a plane in cockpit can detach from the wings, and act as a submarine.
Ideally with the wings detaching as a single unit and the two parts being able to reattach.
The heli is what pulled me to this. Amazing vid as always!
This is a cool multiplayer monday idea if you can make a race track that goes through air, on ground, and under water.
I once made a thing I called a Helibell, it was a bell with a cone on the front, followed by contra-spinning heli blades, followed by the bell (with engines for pitch), followed by more heli blades, then a set of small fins.
Already totally hyped just from the thumbnail! 🔥
No way, flying submarine sounds way cooler!
oh, how i miss this channel. best youtuber ever. watched him everyday!
I like how ScrapMan first build the solution and then tried to find a problem :D
It's been ages since I've watched a acrap man video, brings back lots of memories and it seems like nothing's changed great video
Crap man 😂
The way my brain said "make it an L shape," then you made it an L shape. We are on the same wavelength, Man of Scrap.
I see the appeal of not using glitches, but the fact that the top speed underwater is so low makes me feel like using the no drag glitch on top of the propeller would be justified
You should try and build Buster as a plane transformer. Great video as always Scrapman.
A submersible Osprey. That’s pretty sick
Do you hear the scratching? It's the joint chiefs of staff signing orders. ;)
Good job with that subcopter! And it even looks good.
Might be good on stealth missions. Where you have to go slow underwater to get in, but fly out to get away fast!
Been Loving these newer trailmakers videos Scrapman, keep it up!
You should bring back the series where you recreate strange vehicles from real life!
Man scrapman makes everyrhing so Fun and entertaining! Keep it up!
All hail the Whirling Guppy!!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT WHEN YOU GET TO MAKE CREATIONS OMMMMMNNMG!
UR CREATIVITY
Definitely one of the best things you've built in my opinion
In the beginning it looks like a person holding on to the propellers for dear life😂 2:20
That‘s the Sub-Copter. Designed to be in the air, and underwater. And last but not least to raise Subs.
I'd call it the Puffin, because it's small and can both fly and swim, like puffins.
Evolution race with this kind of multi-purpose vehicle would be cool for multi player monday
I think you should add an altitude sensor so it transitions to and from the helicopter/sub modes
Multiplayer monday 3vs3
-One person has an (opertional) aircraft carrier
-the rest of the team has vtol jets that need to be capable of a stable hover
-In order to win destroy the enemy aicraft carrier ( you can only use dynomite and small canons to attack the carrier/ enemy aicraft)
-high rate of fire guns welcome
Only 6 guns avaiable and as much dynomite as you want
-jets have only 2 lives
-the raund starts with jets taking off from the aircraft carrier (you can use vtol for that)
-the entire map is the arena
- Go for tresure Island
It'd be cool to see a flite test nutball plane in trailmakers
“More planes are in the ocean than submarines in the sky”
Scrapman: Fools…
This seems like it would be useful on the high seas map
My brain took one look at it and said “The Flying Sunfish!”
A name for it could be the subocopter (I think you should do more building in game like trailmakers and scrap mechanic) (thank you for being the best Yotuber)
havent finished the video yet but im excited to see how it turns out!
this was great!
Could you make a couple of underwater propellors into landing gear/pontoons?
Absolutely awesome!
Small upgrade for anfibicopter would be altitude sensor set to 0 so it transitions automatically
Plane? Submarine? Helicopter? It's got it all
imagine actually flying on a vehicle that can become a submarine a helicopter and a plane anytime it wants
This is like the ultimate Navy Seals vehicle.
I like how the Helimarine immediately started life as a Submaplane instead.
its sound differently inside my head
Usually you have push, rather than pull under water, because the rotors cause turbulences behind it, that make the ride very bumpy, if the vehicle is inside them.
It even looks like a fish. I love it
ah yes, a Yellow Helamarine, The Beatles would be proud
Nice build. Hybrid helli-sub. The transition is fantastic.
How are you liking your new gaming setup?
I love your channel it’s cool and helpful because I have trailmakers to
What’s your favorite game? Also you should do another Q&A video.
I’ve got a great name for it! THE AQUACOPTER!
I'd like to see a blade system that folded away and a separate form of propulsion for the submarine element
Those builds never ger disappointed
And how about making a plane with that mechanism you made
Use pistons to extend the arm to the nose in sub mode and retract again in heli mode was also a option
That's what I was thinking
this might be a fever dream that I once had, but I swear there was a kids show (10 or more years back) where there was a helicopter that turns into a submarine (other vehicles as well, but all were aircraft into sea vehicles), I think it was similar to Octonauts. Am I crazy or does anyone else remember this?
Was thinking that the floats could be like pontoons. Would look like good landing gear in heli form and wouldn't look too much out of place for a submersible.
I don't know what to call the creation... but I dub the transitions at the end from sub to heli "The Dolphin"
I used to watch you in quarantine!!! I made so many cool vehicles in trail makers! You were my biggest inspiration im so happy this came up on my recommendations again!
15:09 I love ''Hell'a marine''
this is so cool!
12:56 Another pro tip: Heli blades give really wierd and inconsistent lift in lower speeds, thats why when you look at the workshop, there is a plenty of helis with spojler pieces instead of heli blades. I belive they can spin faster too. I have plenty of helis with spojlers.
Oh thanks
*Spoilers
Are you kidding? Flying Submarine sounds badass cool! VTOL Sub!
better choice would have been a "tilt wing" with the rotors on wings on the side, taking off like a helo, flying like a plane, shifting to hover to drop into the water, then shfting to sub mode... maybe having the engine pods rotate to face backwards LOL,
Vertical white stripe in the middle, u got urself The Flying Nemo
5:50 you've created a subplacopter
Scrap man should call the helicopter/submarine. The Pelican
Name suggestion for the build
Fly Diver?
i have been watching for a few years, and on my hardcore world, i have built a tribute to the scrap gods, each time sacrifice a sheep or a larger animal for good fortune when mining, it has worked well so far.
I just wanna see that in the race with the boys
That's what you call a Submersible Avionic or as I call it, Something that never needed to exist
Maybe a piston on the rotating mechanism could have helped with the weight distribution issue, but it might have been glitchy.
SCRAP SUBCOPER SUPRIME!!!!
Day 112 of asking for a Multiplayer Monday in survival mode where everyone starts at the crashed ship with a craftbot in the mechanic station. Everyone has 30 minutes to build a vehicle from scratch, gathering their own materials. No glitches, thrusters allowed, after which everyone meets up and races their builds
I love trailmaker
I dare you to build a X-43, X-15 or SR-71 (and any other quick plane)in Trailmakers or Instruments of Destruction
Scrap man when that new game mode in trail makers comes out. With shooting down enemy planes. You could use this method as a way to take cover during battles. Using the sub.
TRAILMAKERS LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I, personally, would’ve gone with a V-22 Osprey design
14:02 very nice
Scrapman you have to do this type of gamemode or whats its called with moonbo and kan etc i bet that would vid would be so fire
You should've made a tilt-rotor helicopter, it would’ve been a plane/helicopter/submarine, and it also would've given you more power
Is it maneuverable enough that you ca take it to the high seas and collect salvage with it? You know, in winds and currents and with rocks and cliffs all around.
