Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Kan's idea is great. Vehicles have a set amount of power cores that doesn't go up, but in round 1 you start with 1 wheel, and each round you have to add a wheel until someone wins 4 points.

If you have to stick with just 2 wheels, you could theoretically make a double wide reversed snowmobile with 2 wheels in the front and the skis dragging behind it, it would technically still count as a two wheeled vehicle

do a ultra evolution series where you start with a little more powercores and more time so you have time to make good first evolutions which will differ more from eachothers since the lack of limitations at the start, and gives more time for experimentation

Yup. Watching Evolve Race after intense workout is a mood now.
The problem with the servo was that you still had key controlls on it for the keys S and W that is why when you go forward the servo spinns you to the right

First time i watched scrapman and you're really entertaining keep up the good work! :)
How to make stabilization: add 2 angle sensors then set them 90 degrees and flip one, on the non-flipped one set output to -1. then hook them up to a helicopter engine and be sure to disable 'W' and 'S' controls, then set the speed to around 3.00 if it flips then try setting the speed on the engine to -3.00

Hey guys, I know you already did racing planes and speedboats, but how would you go about combining the two? Evolve hydrofoils!
I've done it, they work, but they are kinda tricky to get right
Found the best thing was using the large flippers, 4 at 20 degrees is perfect (400mph+). Hardest thing is starting (use a launching section) and not taking off and becoming a plane (use flippers on the top as flight surfaces).

I havent finished the campaign yet and I'm doing all my experimenting in there at the moment so I'm not playing with a full toolbox you might say. I got mine up to 150ishKPM, but only have accecss to the smallest thruster for power so far. Still, I'd very much like to see how the Scrap trio approach hydrofoils. They're so easy to overdo and start flipping in the air, and turning them at speed is a nightmare. Should make for good viewing ;)
So, rules for the race - if you dive or take to the air, you're out for that race. I forsee many no-win races, at least in the early rounds. And no submersible cockpit!
@@Graytail yeah, I think that's what they're called. I might upload my design to steam and link it here if you want. Managed to get pretty high on the competition races with it.
To stop flipping you just need to add some control surfaces to the top to force it down onto the water. If you can find the flippers and add the steering hinge they work great, otherwise take a look at tail find and find a way to rotate them, or jsut using normal aerodynamic blocks. Same kinda idea as a car spoiler. Also if you haven't, if you add suspension to each foil then you don't get flipped by bumps or small islands. You can get to some pretty insane speeds with jsut the water motor and adding some blocks for hydrodynamics infront of the motors and hydrofoiling or even just hydroplaning a boat (harder as they jump if the balance isn't right)

try to do Mono-Wheels and start with 2 Power
Cores, and it must spin to move, no skidding

Evolution mono-wheel, you get 3 min, 1 power core to start with for engines but can have 2 power cores for stability, skis can also be used for stability, only one wheel
You should've done the old-style stabilization with distance sensors. The tilt blocks seem to be kinda glitchy.
