- Welcome to another episode of Trailmakers! Today we are doing another fusion themed video. This time is gliders! Fusion is where we take the winning and losing creation, and combine all their parts into a new creation to compete in the next round. Despite having all the same parts to work with, there are unlimited numbers of ways to create a new vehicle out of them.

Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Same as last time: who wins and who loses doesn't actually affect the next round's vehicle, appart from the first round
Realized that, too.
The first round determines the parts based as the sum of first and last vehicle of that round.
Every other round is just doubling parts.
Personally I would prefer the evolution with a little more build time.
1-2 min are not enough to try out stuff like active aero.
But would be cool to have a more "advanced" evolution series with longer build times.
Like @Azurium said, it about skill. As we all saw, the results were different even though the pieces were the same.
Yeah I think it'd be cool if you had to fuse your own previous one with the winner's instead of just the worst and the best. Then everyone's first round design choices would carry through and you'd see more diversity in the later rounds.

@@DianaTheLance Agreed, but I think it'd be funnier if they fused their own build with the WORST one, so they'd have to do a lot of brainwork to make something decent. Also, in either of these cases, wouldn't one of them always be fusing his vehicle with a clone of the same vehicle? Not that it wouldn't work anyway, just odd to think about...
I can already tell they're going to repeat every single evolution challenge but with fusion.

Evolution is the best series ever
Instead of fusing the winner and loser after each round, I think everyone should fuse the winner's vehicle with their own. It would add more diversity in the last rounds, and it would also make more sense with evolution

You should try fusion where you fuse your vehicle with the winner each round. That way there are still some differences after the first round, instead of everyone using the same parts. Love trailmakers multiplayer videos though! Keep 'em coming please!

I feel like the problem with this one is that past the first point you basically have the same piece for all creation so maybe make it a proportion system with the 1st making x% then the second y% and the third z% of the final product with no indication on what to keep form each, x>y>z

I just binged the entire evolution challenge playlist, and I really want to see you guys do a walker evolution challenge. No engines or thrusters, only movement from pistons or bends.

I'm still up to the combine YOUR vehicle with the winner's one. Because after the first round everyone is with the same pieces and you're just doubling them.
If you're combining your own vehicle then every round the pieces of the first creation are added one extra time when the winner's creation wins.
(Bonus: no more problem of someone wanting to get last. Not that it was a problem. But ya know...)

Technically, they could just get the first fused vehicle and double the number of these each tie. The parts will be the same but it will be easier (probably).
ScrapMechanic idea :
-Everyone each get 10-30 second behind/into the garage to add or make changes to the vehicle. Except there will be randomly selected as the imposter that have to make the vehicle worse to achieve a certain goal (getting through a difficult track, time trial, ect). Call can be made whenever and they have to vote out who is the slaughter behind the scene. If the vehicle is completed or after certain amount of turns, the vehicle will be put into the test. If the vehicle manage to sucess the challenge then everyone wins, else if the vehicle fails the challenge, the imposter wins.
Feel free to adjust the rules anyway!

How about this: fusion, but you only use half of the parts from the winning and losing crafts instead of all of them. If you want, you can add a one-minute "mutation" similar to the evolution series.

Btw to make it matters who wins and who loses, you can add to the challenge the chance to delete X number of pieces. That way every vehicle is different.

I love that the trio Scrapman, Kan, and Komso have this series together then, scrapman and kan have workshop hunters, kan and kosmo have multiplayer scrap mechanic and better together, and finally kosmo and scrapman have trailmakers survival.
Video idea: Do a custom map race in Tralemakers.

I know this is way late, but I think you should keep _your own_ vehicle plus the winner. That way there will be some variety past the first round. As it is, after the first round, everybody always has all the same parts.

Video idea- you do an evolution race but you keep score like golf, if your in 3rd place, you get 3 points, the first one to 10 has to have a punishment chosen by the other people
I have an idea: do a round robin challenge.
Everyone builds their first vehicle and after each round, everyone switches vehicles and they have to improve the other person's vehicle, and title keep going like that
For example: after every round, Scrap would get Moonbo's current vehicle, Moonbo would get Kan's and Kan would get Scrap's

They should do this but they can discard some parts each time. Or maybe they have keep certain groups of parts together.
This is just a suggestion but how about a copy race how it works is that the first building time is 3-4 minutes with 1 power core after the race you have use the blocks in your vehicles just copied but instead putting them all in just add a 1 minute timer instead so it doesn’t get too laggy and also the power cores can be exchange for another power cores like 3 bulldog engine for a jet engine oh yeah 100 building block at the start

Challenge idea: do a bomber challenge in trailmakers or main assembly where you have to make a plane that drops bombs on a target.

You should have went with a red Baron design (it's basically 3 sets of wings stacked on top of each other)
Instead of arranging these on the side, you can stack the wings on top like the old WW1 type fighter glider jets
I think With fusions. You should make it so you take 60 or 70 percent of each vehicle instead. So they get slightly bigger each time, but not massively bigger and heavier.
I think the evolution fusions would be better if the 1st and 3rd builds were treated as a parts pool. You could delete anything you didn't want to use, but still couldn't add anything. Just a thought
What about a wall climber evolution? That would be interesting to watch.

Hey Scrapman? The nose on Kosmos glider is why he was able to go farther.
Despite how well kosmo did if they had titles scrap man would be the glide master because he has a great history with gliders and all air vehicles.

Gave up on trying to make a grasper in story mode, now I'm trying to make a glider and I can't figure out how you guys keep the nose of your glider on the ground before take off. Mine is just so light it pops a wheelie before even getting to the ramp.
