Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

2:40 Spiders, at least the smaller ones, can actually fly in real life, using a combination of windpower and electromagnetic interaction with the Earth's magnetic field. It's called ballooning.

I've got a challenge idea for Multiplayer Monday because of this:
Evil Genius creations/evolutions. Vehicles that need to operate in the most evil fashion possible. They need to be able to overcome obstacles, destroy things or even fight one another. The most important criteria is they have to look evil doing it - form over function

I really like how quickly you straightened out that dragon. I gotta wonder how the original creator felt about it. It happened to me, once, and I felt like someone else finished my work. I felt satisfied to see my vision complete.
It's not how it's really meant to fly, chinese dragons fly in a spiral, so I think it was intentional
That spider was dang amazing.
I remember making spiders in Spore before and then again in Robocraft , i've always been a fan of spiders and i need to give props to the creator of that one.
He knows his spiders really well, that was an amazing creation.
There is actually a field of Engineering called Applied Engineering, where it takes inspiration from nature to do various different things, whether that be making a ventilation system based off of Termite Mounds to have little to no cost for a massive mall, to the front of a bullet train inspired by the design of a Kingfishers beak to prevent sonic booms upon it exiting a tunnel.
we need an animal based evolution where they pick random animals to base their vehicles off
every creation in this episode was good, but that spider especially was amazing! Every little detail added to the realism and functionality of it
Scrap an, on the water dragon Chinese part, it doesn't do loops, you click w and s so you wag yourself to go straight or curvy like a real dragon so that's +1 realism and -1 because you don't know about the controls
These were all very good, the spider and centipede really stood out, just amazing.
The Shrimp Mech is actually from Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2. It's an alternate version of the usual Imp Mech. There's tons of designs in PVZ that would look cool in Trailmakers.
Fun fact: Trailmakers does NOT have delay on logic gates and such. If you put a sensor on a thruster, it will eventually get you to hover, but it also vibrates like crazy. You must use the small thruster though, because it doesn't have a spool up time and instantly starts at full strengt

I'm loving the scrap content, but I have to say I really really miss scrap mechanic survival. Can't wait for more. Keep up the good work ScrapMan!

I would like to see automatic futuristic V-tols hover ( NO GIMBALS!) in Trailmakers, could be fun.
I would love to see, Functioning buildings sometime, like working shops, or automated service things, would be cool to see what people make

Hello ScrapMan! I actually like the Chinese Water dragon (derg as I call dragons nowadays) it may need a slight adjustment from the creator, BUT it looked quite colorful. Hope to see more Trailmakers workshop creations!

I just thought of this after watching the scrap mechanic collision destruction:
my idea a destruction derby with it:
you can use a detachable block from mods with thrusters on the detached part.
