    About Trailmakers:
    In the toughest motoring expedition in the universe, you and your friends will build your own vehicles to cross a dangerous wasteland. Explore, crash horribly, use your wits to build a better rig, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find on your way.
    Welcome to the Ultimate Expedition!
    Journey over grueling mountains, hazardous swamps, and bone-dry deserts on a distant world far from civilization - it is just you, your fellow adventurers and the amazing, jet-powered hover-buggy you built yourself. Explore, crash your vehicle, build a better one, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find along your way.
    Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
    Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
    Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
    Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

    Could be wrong, but I think that glowing speck is just a post-processing object. The darkening effect on the camera begins at that object (which is why it's impossible to see anything), and it glows so it's easier to see for development.

    • @Hadeks_Marow
      @Hadeks_Marow Před 2 lety +7

      I agree with you, however, in game design, that "drain" would be called an "empty", which is short for an "empty object" where it has no physical properties or any properties at all really other than it's vector3 positional data as well as it's child-parent hierarchy and obviously it's name property and class designation (if you even want to call "class" a property, even though "class" is read-only and not something you can change).

The point of a lot of 3D artwork isn't to get things absolutely perfect, it's to get it good enough that it's believable. That orb isn't supposed to be seen so the devs probably left it there figuring it'd be fine. Now it's a troll for players to keep jumping into the vortex to try and "get" it.

    i think the answer is kinda obvious from a game design perspective(im currently a student) that vortex is designed like 'Charybdis' the greek sea monster. its there to act as an obstacle in the centre of the map for you to avoid and thus it kills you if you enter it. it makes sense as that whirlpool current if you managed to reach its centre would probably spin your vehicle ridiculously fast, possible sending you flying at high speeds in a way that would break the game, or just be too much to actually run in game, so instead they kill you and force you to respawn to prevent it.

    The "vortex" is a mythical sea monster called Cherybdis

    I think the name of the monster is Charybdis from greek mythology. Have you tried going around it in a submarine

    I personally think that you should complete Green Haven, because it has the most artifacts, which means you will finish it the quickest, to make more time for the rest, next I say the volcano, then Sub Zero base, then lastly, the warf bay thingy place.

  • @Sovereign86

    Finish the *Red* artifacts first. They look to be mostly out in the open and therefore easier to get. (Plus, that’s your favorite color!😉👌🏾)

    You should do SubZero first since it’s the yellow « biome » and the « artefact » at the bottom of the Vortex is also yellow

    Has anyone noticed(or has he noticed it and said it already) that the vortex center reveals some spikes that are white just like teeth. And the area around it is red just like the gum in your mouth, which makes me think, the vortex, is caused from a colossal monster at the bottom of the sea

    i like the lore and stuff but thats just a piece of a wire you can find at subzero base and the one you found in the vortex is a scrap model they put there

    You should try to glitch out trough the floor and try to grab it with a magnet and move it out of the vortex or make a drone that is totally neutral with lights to see it better

    The secret of the vortex is just the start of a garbage pile. Aka, a tire and a sub zero region buoy.
    That's my interpretation at least.

    Pretty sure the dot is just a sprite object they never turned translucency on because there's a kill box above it that destroys anything coming in before it can see it. Except obviously indestructible seats

    I think the glowy thing in The Vortex is just a marker for where the wind/tides are going, since things float _around_ it and you can see the water tides stopping directly above it.

  • @nuclearphysics4020
    @nuclearphysics4020 Před 2 lety

    i think you should do green first because it has the most amount of artifacts and then red because it has the second most ( you can probably do red and green in 1 vid and get done with it ) then i think you should do blue because you have to scout a lot to complete blue ( that will probably take 1 vid ) and then yellow at last because you have a lot of underwater scouting in that and will most likely take the most time considering the speed of your sub (and then if something happens to the vortex you should do a dedicated vid for that too ) that is probably what i will do :) hope it helps
