Can I someone please explain how people know what they're placing and how to use the preview blocks because my friend always beats me and I'm not good at stacking I need help. Please give me tips
@Rogue Apex Well, the next box tells you what piece to place next. Try to figure out where you're placing that while you're placing the current piece. I recommend watching other people play Tetris (especially Classic Tetris) and trying to figure out where to place the piece while they're placing it. You'll over time get a better sense of where things should go. Also try not using hold for a bit to get a better grasp on dealing with the pieces you get, and then later on use hold in a pinch when you can't place a piece correctly.

always seen tetris as a kid and finally got the game and tbh this video is absolutely insane and helped aton with learning how to optimize score/zone usage. was able to get a decahexatris within 4 tries after watching and overall beautiful game and cool to see how they added onto it from its original release in the 80’s

when i was really really learning this game i would play tetris in my mind and would pack my troubles into the blocks and watch them vanish as lines cleared. never fell asleep as quickly as i did those nights

This game was made by Tetsuya Mizuguchi, who made another rhythm based puzzle game back in the 2000's called LUMINES!, It's equally as fun as Tetris once you figure out how it works.

This is an absolutely beautiful game that I love playing almost every single day but how I wish there was a way to make the journey mode slower as people who are physical disababled, such as myself, have a hard time with the speed of journey mode, even at the beginner's difficulty, near the end.
Perhaps the cruelest part of my disability is that I lived without it for the 1st 30 years of my life and so it only recently that I have had to deal with disability. I can easily remember a time where I would have easily been able to finish beginner's journey mode.
you can use effect mode and set it to relaxed which keeps the game slow

Does anybody have any tips on where to look on the screen? I tried to look at the surface of the stack but I still find it hard to use my peripheral vision to see the next pieces coming.
For the current piece, the shadow/ghost piece cast on the grid is helpful. Also try keeping the grid flat as a flat grid accommodates more pieces in more places and needs less thinking. Otherwise practice is the way to go.
