Now vegans can enjoy delicious clarified milk punch too. This vegan key lime clarified milk punch is to die for. It tastes exactly like a slice of key lime pie and has a lovely creamy texture from the coconut milk and the taste of the crust from a delicious cereal milk we'll make from the graham crackers and coconut milk. Most importantly, its crystal clear!
The beauty of this recipe is that it can also be made alcohol free, or you can add whichever spirit you fancy.
Vegan Clarified Milk Punch:
Ingredients-
1/2 a sleeve of vegan graham crackers ( I used Nabisco)
2.5 cups of lite coconut milk
10 -12 key limes zested and juiced
1/2 cup of pineapple juice
2 cups of vanilla coconut black tea
3 oz homemade falernum (or 4-5 oz store bought falernum)
Method-
Soak graham crackers in coconut milk to make the cereal milk for 30-45 mins, Strain out graham crackers.
Zest and juice 10-12 key limes (yield of 1/4 cup of juice).
Juice pineapple.
Brew 2 cups of vanilla coconut black tea
Heat graham cracker infused coconut milk till it begins to simmer.
One it simmers, turn off heat and add lime juice, whisk to combine- then add in pineapple and tea. Let cool completely and rest in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
Add Falernum and pour punch through a nut milk bag (and or ultra bag) into a bowl. Once the punch begins to run clear, change bowl and run the punch through again and agin until punch becomes crystal clear.
Cocktail:
1.5 vegan clarified milk punch
.25 simple syrup
1.25 Pisco (or spirit of choice)
Stir and serve over a large ice cube in a rocks glass alongside vegan meringues!

I love key lime pie so much I wanna drink it
Makes sense
What's your stance on the simmered milk vs cold milk milk punch debate from your experience? Thanks!
@@Arthur-nr5ci I am on team simmered. I believe it creates better and smaller curds which is very important for clarifying. When the curds are too large, there is lots of blockage and it becomes difficult for the punch to filter through- meaning it will take a lot longer and you will have a smaller yield.

Awesome line of thinking Meaghan
Pretty "clarified" how to make these cocktails, thanks a lot for the videos :3 they are all pleasing and super cool
Hah thank you so much glad you're enjoying them! This one is still one of my all time favorites.
Chickpea water is a game changer for vegans! I don’t think that everyone knew about it so many years ago but all of a sudden it is so impressive how you can use it in a meringue.
Yes! It’s amazing what you can do with it!
Can’t wait to try this one! Much respect for the depth of your knowledge and detail capturing it in your videos.
Thank you- that’s so nice to hear! It turned out to be so delicious
These videos are so incredibly well made and detailed. It surprise and saddens me that you haven't blown up on CZcams yet. Thank you for creating such high quality content -- creators like you make this platform what it is. Here's to your future success! 🍸🍸🍸
Thanks Vishwa! We have yet to get into the CZcams algorithm, but hopefully will soon. We are so grateful for your kind words and hope you stick around for some more videos we have lined up. Cheers!
So clean and elegant as always! That's a very interesting cocktail! Gorgeous too!
❤️ thank you so much! It was really something special
Your videos are some of the few in Cocktail tube that we just sit and watch in revered silence in the office. Can hear our producer muttering to himself about the production quality and how he can improve as I type this haha. Stunning as always.
Thank you ❤️. I can’t tell you how nice it is to hear that. A lot of blood sweat and tears go into these videos as I’m sure you know lol.
@@TheWeePearl Really and truly so glad to have found your content. God-tier. It's actually hard to find anything to say other than just showering you in compliments haha
@@DrinkInDigital I was blushing so much from reading this I forgot to respond. Thank you so so much. You are too kind.

@@TheWeePearl 👍😊
Great video! Looks delicious! Love your glassware! Those meringues looked awesome too! Didn’t know you could make them with chick pea juice
Thank you! Yes, I was shocked at how good they came out
Terrific, bravisimo!!!!! You're so freaking talented 💖
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed 😊
*** sounds super ***
Those vegan meringues were the highlight for me. Lol. They looked amazing!! Yum!!!
They were so good and so easy to make!
we've made a vegan milk punch with kombucha instead of a spirit, turned out great. though it may be difficult to replicate because a lot of it was just observation and do as you go kinda thing! so worth it !
That sounds delicious! I love kombucha in cocktails.
That's an incredible recipe! Thinning out the coconut milk was a great tip.
Thank you! I JUST watched your video on the subject. Very informative! Seems like we came across the same issues with the coconut milk’s strong flavors. Thinning it out helps immensely
@@TheWeePearl Since that first one where I did NOT like it, I've done many more with home made cream of coconut and enjoyed them
@@AngryCocktails wow! I’d love to see a video on how to make your own cream of coconut
Try using coffee filters. A lot of them on deli cups. I batch in volume and the best way is to not overwhelm the filter.
Comes out clear first time. Every time. Cool vegan option. Gonna try Ty
Nice! Thanks for the tip. Cheers!
I have those Roly Poly glasses in Silver. Authentic Dorthy Thorpe! Love them! Cute lil basket as well! Great clarification here!
Those key limes are like the rangpur limes.
Tiny but potent! Cheers!
Oh wow! Mine are dupes from Crate and Barrel, but I love them just the same. Though the band on top drives my husband nuts when we are shooting because of the reflection. I haven’t had rangpur limes before- besides the tanqueray rangpur gin. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them
I have a Rangpur gimlet on my channel! Rangpur limes are hard to come across for sure!
@@TheHomeBartenderwithAnn I just watched it! I’ll have to check the Asian market next time I’m there
Very nice video. Your voice is so soothing
Thank you so much!
That glass milk carton is AMAZING. Also great video. 😉
Thank you! I saw it and I knew I had to have it!
@@TheWeePearl i would have bought it too
I made this! It looked completely clear in the bowl I was using, but does look a tad cloudy in my Mason jar. I let it sit for 24 hours, but had trouble getting it to run clear. It took more than 2 passes. Probably about 6. I kept swapping it out the same as you, and running it through. It only ran a bit more clear when I let the curds settle more and did another run. I also used folded, thick muslin in a strainer, instead of a nut milk bag, and I was sure to pour very slowly. Either way, it tastes amazing. I feel the Velvet Falernum I used may have thinned out the flavor a bit, as I went with the 5 ounces you suggested. I think I would have preferred 3 ounces. Also, I got quebranta pisco, which is very thin in flavor. Practically like vodka. For people making this, be sure to double check what kind of pisco varietal is available to you, as they are not all created equal. I made the cocktail, stirring for the standard 30 seconds with a decent amount of ice to prevent too much dilution, and poured up in a coupe glass. Even without pouring over more ice, I found the flavor to be incredibly weak. It just tasted like vaguely sweet, limey water, where the milk punch is very flavorful, and tastes like a delicious vanilla lime tart. I will tinker a bit, possibly stirring for less time, and adding more milk punch per drink.
This is awesome. I’m so glad you tried it. The coconut milk does take a long time to start running clear. You can see mine still is a bit cloudy too. The homemade falernum really packs a punch. I wonder if you season your milk punch with citric acid and simple syrup, you might be able to enhance the flavor. I do that sometimes when the flavors become too muted after straining. Even if your falernum is a bit weaker and pisco isn’t the best, the amped up flavor of the punch will boost the finished drink. Thanks again for watching and sharing your results!
Good 👍👍👍👍🙏
Thank you!
How to know what is the milk ratio ? Like how much milk should I use for every recipe ?
I just squeeze my pineapples in my juicer. work great, maybe a bit easier than the blender? This drink sound delicious.
Thank you! I’ll try that next time! Sounds like a lot less clean up.
This looks great! Have you tried making it with the liquor and sugar added in to the original punch before clarifying?
You can add the liquor, but the sugar has a tendency to clog the filter
This is so clever! I'm not sure I agree that it is relaxing to zest 10 limes though, lol.
Lol. It’s one of those mindless tasks that make you zone out. It reminds me of folding napkins or doing roll ups- my all time favorite side work
This is an interesting concept. I don't think I would have tried to use a coconut milk to clarify a drink.. Hmm.... the possibilities....
Thanks! It’s a lot more difficult than with cows milk, but the end product is *chef’s kiss*
Do you have a link on where to buy the sraining stand
I do! Just updated in the description above. Thank you for watching and let me know how your milk punch comes out :)
2,5 cups coconut milk is that with our with out water?
Yes. It’s 1 1/2 cans
I know fresh pineapple is the way to go, but can you just use bottled pineapple juice? :0
Of course you can!
