  • For kits that come with bare hall sensor wire pins, this video will show you how to connect them according to your controller.

Thank you. Most sellers of ebikes don't know about repairs and after sales really isn't any help for real parts that makes up the ebike. In my case I've been trying to get the freewheel for more than six months and the rear hub motor has the hall/phase small wire connector preventing easy removal of the nut cover, nut, washers, etc.

My craving for more of your content has me rewatching your playlist from the beginning.
However, I am a Tiny bit undecided whether the following is a good thing or not buuuuut... ***I did notice there are a few of your episodes i missed along these years, it's not good because i missed them but good because there are a few "old" that are now new to me and i'm super excited to see them. what an awesome journey , thumbs up all the way.

Can you make a video how to install ebike throttle? Right now i'm using a thumb throttle with led indicator and on/off button (6 wires). And i want to change to twist throttle, with key, and voltage indicator (5 wires). It's kinda confusing to install it. Thank you

Thanx for the video! I have a Motorino XPh with only 200 kms on it, and the controller is acting up I think? The brake and juice both come on randomly while I am riding it. I already got in an accident, b/c it accelerated in traffic. I am watching/reading anything I can find to learn how these e-scooters, and their components work.

Simple process if you have the female connectors that your pins go into. Would like to know if the controller came with the corresponding connectors.

Friend gave me a unmarked e-bike. I think it is an x-treme trail maker pre-2011, it needs a new controller. I did some research an found a 2011 and later X-Treme Brushless 24V Controller - MODEL YK70B. However the supplier had a foot note that said for pre-2011 that I needed the version 1 controller. Problem is, I can't find a version1 controller for this bike. Do you know where this could be found or something comparable, maybe with easy to follow schematic/installation instructions for a novice.

Hey, sometimes the wire colors are a mismatch and you have to figure out the right combination. How do you do that and how do you know for sure that a hall mismatch is the source of the problem?
I have a new controller that doesn't do anything more than make the motor twitch for a second followed a click and then nothing.

    Subject: speed increase
I have a Qiewa Qmini scooter (amazon) the max speed doesn’t quite reach what it advertise on amazon (60km/h max). At best on straight flat I can get up to 36km/h max. I’m 145 pounds. Without me on it reach about 39km/h
    5c 18650 lithium battery 48v 15.6ah
    500watts brushless hub motor
    8” tire
    48v 17A controller
I was thinking of swapping out the stock controller for a 48v 28A 500w controller to see if that increase the max speed but not quite sure if that will do it.
My question is to increase the max speed do I change the controller or up the battery power? Or would I even achieve such speed beyond 36km/h because of the 500w motor with the 8” tire? Thank you for your help.

Hello.. I have a 48v 750w bbso2 mid-drive. I'm looking for a way to put a bright BREAK LIGHT. on the back of my recumbent trike. Hand signals fall short when you signal a stop with your hand dragging the ground. LOL
Do you have a solution, maybe a way to have a thumb button to activate a bright tail light that I can push when i'm preparing to stop..? I"ve tried those brake lights with accelerometers, but they are far too sensitive and just flash on and off with every bump in the road. Love your channel.. I'm learning so much. Thanks Robb PDX

    • @ABritInNY
      @ABritInNY Před 7 lety

Hey Rob, I realize it's been 3 months since you left this comment question for Micha but if you've not yet found a solution to hooking up a bright brake light signal on your electric recumbent, I may have a solution for you. I'm not that familiar with Bafang mid drive controllers (I understand it to be an all-in-one unit,) but if it has the same connection options as most hub motors, it's possible that you already have all you need to accomplish this. Remembering that many of these controllers come from and were designed for electric scooters that functionality was included in many of them but essentially ignored when used on Ebikes. As a consequence if yours has both a brake high and (a normal) brake low plug for your Ebrakes, then using the brake high signal hookup instead of the low, will allow you to parallel a brake light that will function normally with the opening and closing of the Ebrakes reed switch. Perhaps buy a scooter/MC tail light if you like the look and can fit it, but any bright red led should work too. Of course if you don't have such a plug that's a different matter and a lil more complicated to achieve. Hope this helps you, and stay safe when riding :)

i've got a hall sensor error but the connector from the wheel is missing the white wire. one of the wheels I have that works has the white wire.
You can get it to spin but the motor is really clattery (I assume this is because the timing of the magnets isn't correct?)
