Hello, Thanks from Bulgaria! I am reading your wonderful book. I am not an engineer, but, I am just keen to know how things work especially things that I "ride" on... also these days, our "engineers" know more with their mouth than their head, so I like to be prepared before I trust them with my valued ebike. Thank you again for your effort to share your knowledge.
Thanks for viewing the book. Riding an e-bike comes with quite a few maintenance issues. It is very important to know how your e-bike works. And riding, touching, customizing everything is fun. thank you. 🚲🚲🚲~
@@Mobilant_US I've found and bought same motor tester as yours (573D). That was a bit lucky. Would you know where would I be able to buy Parts for our Fafrees ebikes? I have bought 2 new F20 pro bikes and I panic in case I need parts. I don't even know what make/model and type are the motors. I will be ever so grateful if you could give me any light there. I am not young anymore and in this country that I chose to retire, everything has to come from outside and at High premium prices. I use Aliexpress all the time but I need to know what to order. Thank you and best success at everything you do. It feels nice to know you while I am reading your book.
Definitely solder next time...I have been twisting wires together for years...and the connections don't last in a moving environment. Oxidization gets the better of them over time and the connection will get weaker and weaker over time, adding extra resistence and heat. I would even suggest desoldering the wires from the hall sensor, and soldering motor cables directly to the PCB. If you want it easily removable, solder some type of plug...like an FDD connector or something. Otherwise a very informative video!

if you bang the axle with a dead blow hammer the cover pops off on the other side no need for putty knives

thank you Yes, that's right. However, if you twist the stripped wire long, the heat shrink tube is surprisingly strong.💪
Yous guys are so smart.
Thanks for the nice comment.
You don’t need to take the disk off
