I love possums and have told friends they are welcome to bring possums over to my yard any time. Each possum eats about 5000 ticks per season as well as fight and kill snakes (they are immune to most poisonous snakes). I love your possum pattern.
Those pink legs on those ducks get me every time!
17:29 I LOVE THE CAROL MANNING DESIGNS you choose!!! You brought so much joy to my morning!
My daughter's best friend found an orphaned baby possum. Now the possum lives with her. This needs to happen. I LOVE the plaid.
Those ducks!!!! As you can see from my pic, I'm a pink mama duck!
When my daughter was young, two of her friends always came with us to our annual camping trip to the lake. I always wear a ball cap, and for years, that cap was pink. As we walked from the beach to the camper one day (the 3 of them following me), one of them said they looked like little ducks following their pink mama duck...and it stuck! I've been pink mama duck since. One of those friends is getting married this year, and I MUST stitch those ducks for her!
Amd the opossum...he's soooo much cuter than those I usually see... after they've met a vehicle😢. Off to your shop!!!
Thanks Stephanie for the kind shout out! I love that vine and leaf color. it looks great in this design. Doesn't this sampler make you smile while you're stitching it? It's so much fun. I enjoy your encouraging and joyful spirit. Thanks for sharing your new designs, shop goodies and the things that you've been enjoying. I love learning from each other. I read some of the comments about this time of restlessness we've all experienced. It's such an interesting time in our lives when the busyness of parenting shifts to a different rhythm. It's a time when you can see how God is leading you. Thanks again for sharing your heart with all of us and making the community better!
Almost four years ago I lost my dad and my doxie within a month of each other. Dad passed one week before Mother's Day and my doxie passed two weeks after my birthday. I was very unsettled and couldn't get my brain to focus for long on anything. Thats when I went back to cross stitch! I hadn't stitched much since the mid 90s. I had many other hobbies from the mid 90s- 2019: crochet, bead work, knitting, scrapbooking, punch needle, wire work etc. But after the loss of dad and Margarita I found myself not wanting to do any of my other hobbies. So I found some old aida, some old patterns (Precious Moments and Paula Vaughn) and started looking online. Much to my surprise the cross stitch world had changed so much and I dove in! I still do some of my other hobbies on occasion, but cross stitch is where my heart feels at peace. Look around and see what makes your heart happy and follow your heart! It's the best advice I can give you.
Another great video, Steph! Thanks for the visit! 💛
I'm probably decades older than you but I can identify with going through the very same type of "crisis" frustrations; whatever that is.
That being said, your flosstube was very enjoyable. I love your ability to chat with who knows how many viewers, yet maintain a feeling of a one-on-one chat with a friend. Loved your top ten things and the new cross stitch patterns you have picked up to work on are fabulous. I also have been in love with the Garden one by Carriage House Samplings. It speaks to me somehow, as do the several others you showed today that are in your shop.
I hope more flosstubers start telling us 10 of their favorite things right now. And I'd love to see your 10 favorite things right now again someday! Wishing happiness for you, as well!
I have also started a Carolyn Manning stitch. I’m stitching bohemian bliss and love it. I also chose mine for the colors. I made myself put it down for awhile but I had already made plans to pick it back up this weekend. Love your personality & floss tubes. Long live Carolyn Manning!
I really enjoyed watching you tonight as I attempted to organize my PDF charts. Less daunting task when I was watching and listening to you. I would love it if you would share your floss conversion with me for the flower garden. I really liked your conversion and seeing it being stitched. Enjoy yourself sometime and go get pampered.
You should seriously consider trying stand up comedy. You are so funny!! Thanks for the smiles.
You are ever so funny. Carolyn Manning's designs are so fun to stitch. I've stitched some of her crazy quilt blocks and have Marmalade (gift) as a WIP. Porch Possum is so cute. I love our possums! Delightful as always! 🪡
You are indeed correct. That variegated floss for that vine is the coolest. The Bible (#7) sounds lovely.
Watching your flosstube is like sitting and stitching with a dear friend. Thank you for the visit. I'm trying 23 in '23 for books, audio books, letters and recipes. The recipes are the most difficult for me. I love a tried and true one with nothing weird or hard to find. You've given me books to add to my list as always. Loved listening to "The Dutch House" on your reccomendation. Have you listened to "Hail Mary"? I laughed and cried and screamed through that one. So good.
Project Hail Mary? Or which book?
@@lindystitches The audiobook "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir was the one that made me laugh, ect..... I think you will love it.
As a fellow person turning 40 this year, I will try this elf product to make me look younger!
Thanks for the hug! I did grab my stitching and watched along. One aspect of being a mom and watching the children grow is that you begin to have time to remember who YOU are. You are still all those other things - mom, wife, chauffer, teacher, etc, but the time spent on those roles eases up and you get to fill the extra time with being YOU. It feels restless, even a bit guilty, but you get to be YOU. Enjoy the transition and just as we want our children to grow up and be their own selves, I truly believe they want their parents to do the same. Right now this YOU (me) needs to look for some new pants!
Idea for something 'new' in your life - make more of those tea/coffee dyed dolls/monsters. Also if you really want another pet, adopt a Greyhound! I remember you fostering some before but maybe adopt this time?
Our new Greyhound arrived today and she's so sweet and funny. We were going to wait longer after having to put to sleep our last old man, but our house felt so empty without a Greyhound
I am so so jealous! Where did you get your new addition? We would absolutely love to have a greyhound, but we unfortunately don't have a fenced in yard. I kind of feel like a fence is necessary with a greyhound.
@@lindystitches ohh yes a fence would be a must, one sighting of something interesting and they'd be off running 😅 I forget that fences aren't necessarily the norm everywhere, over here every property gets fences (generally 6ft)
We adopted ours through an organisation called GAPs, in South Australia 🙂
Omg Carrot Cake is gorgeous. Nooo…Now I want one! Haha. Thanks for the company today.
My 3 college aged children are all moving to different states in May. I’m going to stitch 7 days a week until they come visit me.😢
Now I want to start a Carolyn Manning design lol.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your porch possum....he is definitely soooo cute!!!
You are feeling that your kids are older and don’t need you as they did before. You are finding more times on your hands. I am going through same thing. I had four kids and my daughter has moved out and the house is quieter. Trying to occupy my time doing other things. Gardening which will becoming, cross stitch, chalk painting furniture. And of course busy with everyday things. So now it’s me hubby and m6 two puppies they have been my two kids right now. But you will find your groove it will take time to get use to it, but you will. Than you will become selfish with your time cuz you will love doing your new things. Take care and hang in there.
It’s the forty normal. Love your garden stitching. The hint of cut for that triangular grid is sew good.
You need to visit Pigeon Forge, TN. So many reasons, but one is Parrot Mountain. Bird and garden heaven. You will leave SO inspired. God is an awesome bird designer. I just visited last weekend with my grown daughters. ❤
ESV ! Yass! Maybe creating an awesome cover with an even more awesome cross stitch on it? 😅
OMG, thank you for shouting out my Instagram page!! I am thrilled to think that I could have inspired you the tiniest bit! BTW I do the same thing with floss lengths for my Carolyn Manning pieces, only I discovered by accident that floss the length of my arm was just right to stitch a diamond! I often have people ask me if these designs are boring to stitch, and my answer is that it’s comfort stitching to me! I love that I can stitch and watch TV and not have to constantly look at the pattern. Anyway, thank you again. Also, I have those pants!! I wear them for travel, they are the best airport pants ever!
Thanks for the hug! Loved hearing your top 10 favorites. The possum is SO cute. I totally understand the restlessness, I am experiencing some of that myself I am 55 - take one day at a time and enjoy where you are right now - one day at a time! HUGS 🥰
I totally feel you.... my therapist said... I feel so restless and down, because, when the children start their own lifes it's like losing someone, even that person is still alive. But from one moment to another you've so much more time and energy on hand, you usually would invest in and spend with your children. And that feeling you get is just over that time, while you're transitioning from being a mom to find new things that are worth your time and energy. And as soon as you find such a thing you'll feel better, again.
Feel hugged tight! I'm searching for so many hobbies at the moment and want to start ALL the different things it's like I'm mad. XDDD But at the same time I'm struggling very hard being without my children and feel down a lot. So much that I'm sitting there, doing nothing, just thinking about nothing, too. Feel always mad about myself when I realise doing so. .///.
For books... have you read 'The Midnight Library' by Matt Haig? I highly recommend it. It's tough stuff from time to time, but also very interesting stuff, too. And I totally thought of you, when you mentioned the artic explorers, 'cause you'll also find that in that book. ;)
And now Ihave to look up that pants, 'cause mine are losing shape all the time after a few washings. .///. Maybe that will be a game changer!
The porch possum is so cute. The hummingbird bird colors are amazing.
MISSED YOU…… WHERE YOU BEEN AND WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING????? CANT WAIT TO SEE YOUR STITCHING 🧵❤️
How super lovely to see you and get a hug. I Loved that. Coopers is so handsome. Did you say you changed his color? Woop Woop for Jingle Ball. What a fun way to announce it. I'll be marking those dates on my calendar for sure. I met Ryan at Stitch North 2022 and he is charming and sweet and kind. And yes, he has a lovely voice. Pants. Favorite pants. What a perfect addition to a top ten. No no I get it. I too like the texture of paper after writing on it. And the sound of pages turning if it's the right paper. I must say though that I've never heard of a journaling Bible until today. It's sort of not surprising that you're so drawn to those exploration stories because in a way you are an explorer. An explorer of the new and unique through your cross stitch charts and paving new ways. Perhaps it is midlife but maybe you are just coming into your own. Some women don't achieve that until they're 80. Go with it and embrace it.
Alison, thank you for the long, wonderful comment. Yes I changed Cooper's colors to brighten him up a little bit. :)
Good to see your face :) Your chat about sitting with Willoughby and "just being" for a few minutes - I feel that. We need those moments more than we realize. I LOVE your list of ten things and would welcome that each time you filmed 😍 I love a good journaling Bible, and the antarctic expedition books sound intriguing. It's a different kind of adventure, but did you ever read "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer? The feeling of being on the edge of your seat - will they make it, what happens next!? - is one that I still remember, all these years later. As for cross stitch.... I love your finish of Cooper, and your garden alphabet is gorgeous. I will also admit that your porch possum's plaid outfit is perfection, even if possums are low on my list of liked animals 🙈 I hope you are able to enjoy these days of low-humidity, nice weather with the windows open and the smells of spring, Steph. Have a great weekend, and happy stitching 💜
Your midlife might be grounded by British writer, Adam Phillips. He’s an author of On Balance, and another favorite Phillips read is Missing Out in Praise ….
Best voice of all during midlife is repeatedly Mister Roger’s -- “It’s You I like.” Thanks for your art & suggestions on CZcams.
love the pants - waiting for the invite to the ball as last years the THE BEST - may be copying the Pumpkins with those headbands - pretty awesome.
Getting to know you, getting to know all about you……❤️❤️❤️love this format. I’m a quirky girl and love you jest for life. Keep on keeping on. 🧵🧵🧵stitch all the happy things like possums.
Porch Possum is too cute!
What a great flosstube! Love it all...ducks, birds, possums, all the things, stitchy and not. Can't wait for this year's Jingle Ball!
I love that you are my local online shop!! and your possum is adorable and I shared the story about the possum eating dinner with my daughter and granddaughter they thought it was cute too! Hope you have a blessed day.
Omg! We have a Holly Tree (tall but not substantial) and we sit on our 2nd floor balcony. Our cats come out because it’s off the ground with no outside way to go up or down. One night my cat jumped back…and was “air pawing” (new word) I ran over pulled the deck curtain back, and there was a huge Opossum in the tree….needless to say…. We were both freaked out. He was so big, he had to throw his body out of the tree. Hee! He has come back a few times I have to stitch the opossum. I love the polar plunge too.
I love the possum, so stinking cute! Ah, Marco Polo is my FAV app and I feel like so many people haven't heard about it. :)
Love your top 10. I am definitely reading the panic book. Love the possum with the plaid fur. Glad to see Jingle Ball is back!!
Love love Cooper. The possum is so cute but 2 of my daughters and their in laws and now the grandkids are farmers and I can’t say nice things about possums. 😬. Oh here is a hug 🤗 back.
Thank you Stephanie for all the happy things. Re your transition time; as a grandmother of seven but still feeling fairly young at 66, I can remember when our kids were starting to live their own lives and how I all of a sudden (it seemed) I had all this time to think my own thoughts. I still wanted to keep connected to the kids but they lived elsewhere and so my husband and I decided to move to a different province, a bit closer to them, he started a new job and I finished up my job as well. What a strange time! So many possibilities. It took awhile to figure out how I wanted to spend this time and like you I love reading and crafts, so started some new ones but also have come to appreciate the little things in life. The trail around the lake up the road, the art gallery, one day a week to get out and explore the community, volunteer opportunities that helped me meet people, and so forth. It takes awhile, but you will start to get some new things in your life over time that is not so geared to the kids and more things that feed your soul in other ways.
I just love all your favorites…thank so much for sharing them. I enjoyed the Three Pines series as well; it’s based on Louise Penny’s Inspector Gamache series. I am always trying to find comfortable pants and simple face solutions! My son loves the first book you mentioned so it is time I get that from our library. The others sound wonderful. I have never heard of the Marco Polo app so can’t wait to look into that. Is your ESV Bible (love that translation) a large print one, Stephanie? I love that cover and Amazon only shows it in large print, which perhaps would be a good thing!
Your hedgehog pattern is the cutest. I have purchased your first bird stamp for March and love the bright colors and finishing ideas. You are so talented and just a treasure. :)
Thank you for the lovely encouraging comment! I had to go look and yes, it is a large print! I do remember ordering the 'regular print' at first and ended up returning it because it is teeeny tiny. You wouldn't call the 'large print' large, just a normal size. I think they shrunk it down to make the regular print a smaller bible, but I didn't like it. Too small. amzn.to/3GBWvuD
@@lindystitches Thank you!
I had to report - I went to investigate Carolyn Manning Designs! I now have 4 new charts sitting on my crafting table ... tempting me away from laundry, vacummng, cooking and gardening. They are delicious and I can't wait to decide which one to start. Ü
LOL I am not sorry Susan!!!
I loved the 10 favorite things. I also loved the book Endurance! When I read it, I became obsessed with going to Antarctica. I think I read it in 2008, well it took 10 years but in 2018 I made the trip! It was an amazing place and I am determined to go back one day. I’m obsessed with penguins.
Love your opossum design! And I am so excited for the Jingle Ball, it was so fun last year.
Stephanie, what can I say but I just love your flosstubes!! Watching them is like spending time with a great friend and I am so happy after spending time with you, even if it is virtual!! Really love Cooper ❤❤❤
We are here TeXaS 👋 life can trip you up fast
I'm in my mid 40's, my youngest son just turned 18, my oldest son just moved out, and my oldest daughter made me a grandmother. All great things, and yet I find myself floundering to transition from someone that was always needed to someone that is more of an advice giver and encourager. I'm both excited and anxious for the new personal time lol. Hang in there, it seems to be getting better. I thoroughly enjoy your videos, and like you hope the midwest weather continues to be good and not so tornado-y.
I give this episode a 5 ⭐️ rating, loved every part of it. The Garden ABC’s is so fabulous and I’ve really enjoyed watching Doreen’s progress. Cooper is sparkling with your thread choices! 👏🏼The book recs were great (I read Kevin Wilson’s previous book and loved it) - gave the Belgica Antarctica rec to my husband who loves all things Antarctic exploration as well. I love Barb’s insta too, and RyRy. You have such good taste! When I went through my midlife (your age) semi floundering (not an accurate description, sorry) I re-discovered stitching, so I am no help, other than to say, you seem like you are on a great path and are pretty good at knowing thyself. Just keep on keepin on! xx
If you like Three Pines, I highly recommend Louise Penny’s books. The Gamache series books are the only books I have read twice. They are spiritual.
I knew I liked you, I knew you are my people, but when you started talking about Endurance, I about lost it. I thought I was nearly alone in that particular nerdom! Seriously, when life gets hard, I am wont to remind myself and family that we're not stuck on ice floes while Europe has started a war and forgotten about us? So really, things are pretty ok. Lol. ❤❤
Haha we are polar expedition friends!!!
Just LOVE the Porch Possum!!
I dropped what I was doing to make those cookies… SO GOOD. My husband is obsessed. He says if I wasn’t around he would get sick off them. We’re not even really “baked goods people” (we like ice cream lol). Anyway.. I think we’re making another batch on Thursday….
Hahahaha I love it!!! Don't ask me how many batches I've made lately! 🙈🙈🙈
I love you, Stephanie! I know we don’t know each other IRL but you make nut life happier by just being in it. Even if it is over an app. Hope that wasn’t too creepy. I love possums. We had one under our porch for a while that we named Ralph. I met him when my. City boy raised husband came rushing in from the back yard one night yelling “Honey! You have to come outside! There’s this animal in our yard that’s dead and it has a really long tail!!!” I was already in my pajamas snd bunny slippers but he insisted I had to go. When I got there I saw, for sure, that it WAS an animal with a really long tail tail- and it was for sure, playing possum. The kids from next door came over- it was quite the neighborhood event! I’m from the south, so I knew what he was. I loved him/her. I always wanted to see her with little baby possums hanging onto that really long tail! You should put some baby possums hanging into the porch possums trench coat! Awesome! Great video. Do a stitch with me some time and let’s talk again!
what a lovely comment, Teresa! thank you for taking the time to encourage me :). I got a good giggle out of your possum story. ha ha. I too am hoping to see a momma taxi possum one of these days!
I LOVE that variegated floss for the vine in the garden sampler. It is so perfect for spring.
Your whole video just put a smile on my face … even though I am in bed and it is dark! So excited for Jingle Ball! 💕💕🪡💕💕
I bought Carrot Cake on a whim last week - and now I need to start it, as soon as it arrives. GREAT tip!
Your 10 things brought me joy. I listened to the last book you recommended, that was read by Tom Hanks… excellent!!!!! Love your birds… ummm stinkin cute💕. I really enjoy your floss tube, I laugh out loud 😂, Denise. ( hug back)
Oh I'm so glad you enjoyed the Dutch House! xoxox
Thank you for the hug, actually the entire time with you is like a hug. I have actually met Ryry McGuy at a CX retreat in Canada. Yes, I really went from Oregon to Canada for StitchNorth! He is a wonderful person. Truly enjoyed your top 10, had to stop stitching long enough to write things down. I have always thought that Bibles should have a pullout section for Psalms because mine gets so worn out. Thank you so much for simply being you, you are a delight to the heart.
Great video love 💗 your new releases the possum is adorable they all are. I would love to see a series it would be awesome and maybe a friend like capybara 😊 have a wonderful week and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
And here is a hug right back to you. My new slogan for spring "Give it a whirl" thanks to you. It is said that every 7-year cycle brings changes of self-awareness as both body and mind changes-an interesting concept. Love all your new releases. Looking forward to the Jingle Ball. Last year was wonderful.
You knocked it out of the park! Loved this video; thank you for your 10 item list, very interested in reading the first book for sure. Enjoy your channel so much! Keep it up!
So glad you came by for a visit today. I so enjoy listening to stitchy talk. Your big bird is fabulous. Love the colors. Really looking forward to participating in Jingle Ball again this year. Your design team is the best. The addition of Misty, the Pumpkins, et al. Is so exciting. Glad I’ll have the opportunity to “visit” with some of the gals I missed last year. Hope your son will make another contribution this time. He’s the bomb! (Do they still say that?🤷🏻♀️). Until next time, TTFN. 😊
Cooper is beautiful!! Love the Garden Sampler and the vine is so cool and pretty. What a great idea of cutting the floss the size of each square. The transition after your children become young adults is hard and I still miss having my boys in the house and they are 36 and 34! Once they both got out of high school I really started getting back into quilting and then when COVID hit I started cross stitching again. Thanks for all of the top 10's - thinking I look at reading the books, just printed out the cookie recipe!!
Listening/watching you from the Midwest as well, SE WI. I completely agree and relate to what you said about the weather here. I'll add that I enjoy the absence of mosquitoes during this short time frame in the Spring. I listen to RyRye Mcguy as well and also find his voice very soothing. Thanks for the info on the chocolate chip cookies, we get that magazine and I believe we had flagged that recipe. Also going to look into some of the other 10 things you mentioned. Thanks for a great video!
Absolute greatest entertaining informative ‘tube’ I’ve seen in 4ever. Loved your top ten. Bought your frolicking (and others and ordered from your 1:14:12 1:14:12 web site). I was over the moon when I saw this pattern. 1:14:12 I have a mutant standard poodle. He is super super tall. I wish I could chart my own poodle doing different things. Beau is an apricot but he looks like very lightly toasted coconut. He’s more a lightly browned marshmallow with a lot of cream. I digress. I’m going to start the silk and abyss fish with the braid and then bury me with thread when they come in. Thank you
Sadly Three Pines was not renewed by Amazon. However, Louise Penny is my favorite author and has 19 or 20 books - all but one is the three pines series. I highly recommend they be read in order!
Such a bummer!!
As for the restlessness I think when a child leaves or is leaving we need a new direction. We crave something to fill that place. Whatever you want to do go for it. Love the elf recommendation
I love carrot cake looks fun and sounds yummy
I just found you and so enjoyed your video. When you held up the cook book, I thought, we have that one, ( my husband loves Test Kitchen recipes). So I bought some fresh dark brown sugar and made those ultimate chocolate chip cookies. I had a great recipe from Mrs. Field's Cookie book that I thought was the best. Nooooo, these cookies were to die for. As you said, a few strange things to do in the recipe, but sooo worth it. Thank you for sharing. ( and I have been making cookies for probably 40-50 years.)
Oh this comment makes me smile! I'm so glad you liked them! I hope to never have to look for another chocolate chip cookie recipe for as long as I live LOL
I love the possum. I had a delightful time with you as I watched the video. You are so entertaining and informative. Will take you up on reading some of your suggestions. You make them all sound so intriguing. Keep up the good work.
Sounds to me that you need to go on a retreat, and it doesn’t have to be xstitch, but to try something else that is interesting to you. Painting, drawing, rug hooking,
Needle punch, travel, weaving just anything to give your mind a break on what you do normally. Hope that you can find something that you want to do. Good luck.👍🤞🤞
I love the possum and think I would probably add he words but too cute for words. I read Endurance earlier this year and it was an awesome read. I will definitely add the others to my list.
Hello Steph! I watched a few days ago and loved seeing all of your projects.... but I was seriously obsessing over the Carolyn Manning patterns, so I had to go down that rabbit hole! OMG, I had never seen her patterns, NOW I WANT TO DO SO MANY OF THEM! I had to immediately buy Chameleon and kit it up ( I mean have you seen that one?!?!?!) the colors are AMAZING! But I feel like I need Sweater Weather too.... oh. my. goodness. HELP!!! LOL.
you are so right about ryry ...thank you for your videos!
Love your hint on Carolyn Manning patterns. I’m currently working on Arctic Blast and I could have used that tip!!!
Enjoyed listening to your video while I sat outside on my patio watching the birds in our feeders....cardinals (mr and mrs), doves, sparrows, canaries, and a red headed woodpecker. We put out our hummingbird feeders today. Thanks for keeping us company! Love your new designs. Not a fan of opossums, but the one you charted is adorable!
You could always get a game cam and have it on your porch to see who all comes on it
This is the most fun and wonderful utube! Thank you so much for sharing yourself. You are a gem! ❣️❣️❣️
well thank you. right back at ya, Anne!
@@lindystitches Did you do aflosstube ages ago about different fabrics you were trying out? If so, do you recall when? If not, feel free to ignore me! 😉
That Coastal Seaweed color is gorgeous!!!
Hi Stephanie..I was picking up my tablet to comment on your latest Flosstube when you mentioned Carolyn Manning designs....don't get me started!😅..I started my 1st one a few months ago and I continue to chug along on it. I think my main motivation is just to enjoy those saturated colors because it has not been easy for me..I almost feel ashamed because the patterns are so deceptively easy looking but I continue to mess up..I've even started using a highlighter!..I am doing (trying to do) Alexandrite..oh the jades and purples, I will not dump it!
About a year ago I stitched your Stitch for Sweet Freedom and just love it..the dress was such fun ..I permanently keep some Cherry Cobbler thread on hand after that one.😍
Have a great Spring/Summer.💐
OK maybe I should wait til the end to comment..Shackleton fan here..one suggestion, if you haven't already seen the NOVA episode devoted to the Endurance please watch it now on CZcams!..It's as good as any major film, I loved it so much I bought a copy..end of rant!
Added to my CZcams watch list! Thank you for the recommendation! xoxox
Enjoyable video as always Steph! Great recommendations. Possums are nomadic, so you may not still be seeing them around. In fact, one (holding a balloon) just wandered out of your shop and into my shopping cart. --Deb
I put my brown butter in silicone molds and freeze then eat . Tastes like salty English toffee. Yum
Oh my gosh what a WONDERFUL idea!
I have started the Garden Sampler too! 🎉 Girl, I got a turtle as a pet!! … my children are all grown and don’t need me anymore so I needed something to take care of. 😂 So wonderful to see you! Xoxo
What a delightful time with you! Restlessness is part of the creative mind, that is why we have 50 WIPs (what is in this bag? Yahoo, I forgot I love you and will DEFINITELY finish you) And the transition to accepting peeps we attach to must leave, just take your heart (and brain) with them when they leave your nest. Huge hugs for your top 10!
I love Porch Possum!
I always look forward to your flosstubes. Great new designs but your possom-- I'm definitely older than you. And restless times come and go. Obligations always stopped me from just doing and going. And yet, now that I'm retired? What is stopping me? Hope this time moves along or you find an outlet.
Can't wait for Jingle Ball 2! The first one was great. And your 10 things were so fun - can't wait to try some. Stay well and do all the things you want.
Hugs back to you!!! Thank you so much for sharing. absolutely EVERYTHING in this FT. Our son is starting his senior year next year, like you said about your daughter, we don’t get to see them enough. With school, work, friends there never seems to be enough time. I think the restlessness is our way of getting through the transition into the next phase. So many emotions are wrapped up in the possibilities of the next chapter. Road trips and travel are my “guilty” pleasures/day dreams right now too. Thank you for the 10 favorites! Ry Ry is in the lineup, books sound like they are right up my alley, cookies will be made soon. Thanks again Steph!! Hugs to you!!❤
You definitely need to buy a pet bird!! I just got 2 budgies and they’re the most derpy floofs ever
Nice seeing your stitching and haul 😊
Does the noise of them bother you? That is one thing I'm wondering, as well as how messy / dusty they are.
@@lindystitches The noise isn’t too bad for budgies, conures and the larger parrots are louder. There is quite a bit of cleaning involved- changing the water, food bowls and newspaper daily.
Love your new patterns! I like the format of your floss tube and especially enjoyed the top ten.
You are a joy to watch and listen to and you always make me laugh!
Having kids move into the next stage of their lives is hard. I got a Golden Retriever to make it… I am so excited for the Jingle Ball.
Cooper is beautiful!
Btw…I gosh! I love Porch Possum!!
WOW Steph! I was captivated all the way........Thank you for sharing all these tidbits of life. I am doing well, but getting older and people are dying around me and, and, am I ready???? So right after your show while I hesitated in my writing, the add came on...are you living in Canada and do you have a funeral plan???...really????....is big brother reading????....lol
Thanks for another lovely and amusing video, Steph. I always look forward to your flosstubes ❤
You are hilarious and I would love to be ur friend..thank u for all your designs I love them so much .thank u for the top ten also ....you CZcams videos are my favorite
I’ve used the diamant and have them all. They are readily available at Hobby Lobby here in northwest Georgia. I’ve had more success with them for embroidery than cross stitch. However, I recently started using Vonna Pfeiffer’s tip to use a larger needle. I’ve been using a 24 tapestry needle on my 16 count Aida. I haven’t tried it yet with metallic threads. My favorite thread for a little bling is the dmc etoile. I have a collection of them all. I use them in almost all my pieces.
Thanks for the great tip Ann!!
So great to visit and catch up. You have so many great thoughts!!! 🌻🌻🌻
Amazing!!! Great Job!!!!
