My husband is in the Rehab hospital after back surgery and I went to join him for dinner in their cafeteria. This hospital also has permanent residents in varying stages of mobility. The tables had been decorated with red and white balloons and flowers and it looked so lovely. It made me realize how many people are unable to celebrate holidays of any kind, and how many people are in "alone" situations. Yet these folks were cheerful and appreciative of the extra decorations....and pink frosting on the cake and cookies! No fancy gifts or chocolates this year and it was about perfect.
When I was at rehab this past October, I was recovering from knee replacement surgery and I had to eat in my room. Ugh!!!
I spent Valentine's Day mostly alone as my husband had to work for over 12 hours. Thank goodness that I had nearly 30 years of Valentine's Day memories to sustain me. We will be celebrating this weekend.
I watched a Hallmark movie, cross stitched and cuddled with my 2 dogs on the couch. It was perfect!
I love these videos. As far as I’m concerned, you can do a video everyday and I would watch them. My birthday is the 13th, so we go out that night cuz there are less people. On Valentine’s Day, he brought me gorgeous red roses. I was so surprised! Then we went out for hamburgers. lol. Married almost 49 years. ❤
I took my grandson to preschool then on to work. Then at the end of the day came home to flowers and chocolate. It was a nice surprise. My daughter then cooked dinner for us. It was a nice evening.
Went to a burger place with my Husband,my Daughter and Son in law. Then visited my Granddaughter and read her a story before bedtime. It was a a good day.
On Valentines Day, I worked, came home, watched a little floss tube then went to bed.
Rough Valentine's! Came home to very sick hubby! He was sprawled on the floor waiting for me to change the sheets so he could get back in a clean bed. The opposite of romantic! BUT the epitome of being able to love him well in his hours of need. Trip to the store for Jello, popsicles, Sprite, and crackers, etc. Only to then catch it from him a few days later. Still haven't been able to celebrate with the evening I had planned for us.... But soon! Love Him more as the years go by. Grateful to be the one to care for Him even when it gets ugly!
My friends and I couldn't celebrate on Galentine's Day so we celebrated on Valentine's Day. Fun dinner. Lively conversation. Decent food. Add a little alcohol and the food got a little better. LOL!
For Valentine’s Day I made sure to tell my friends I love them. My partner and I have been together for 18 valentines so it’s just another day for us.
A quiet evening at home. My husband brought me flowers the next day.
Valentine’s Day 2024 I spent alone in a hotel room on a business trip. But cross stitching brightened my day for sure.
Went to work and then rushed home to celebrate my MIL’s 92nd Birthday!
I deep cleaned my condo on Valentine's Day in anticipation of the visit of my true valentine, my 16-month old grandson, Flynn, this past weekend. Better than chocolates or flowers.
I got to spend this Valentine’s Day with 28 cross stitchers at Primitive Gatherings cross stitch club - a pretty great way to spend the day! Then brought KFC home for dinner 😂 Thanks for the Nashville updates. I love those Kathy Barrick animals. Count me in for a SAL.
I cleaned my grandmother-in-laws cattery. She breeds Siamese cats. After that, my husband cooked me a beautiful dinner of homemade pasta. It was a busy, but nice day.
Valentine's Day was nice and quiet. I stitched a lot and got to hang out with my husband. Sent a text to our kids. Now busy revising my stitching plans for the rest of the year as I add new patterns to my collection!
Stephanie, how am I supposed to choose my favorite designs? Tell me now! I had Valentines dinner with my husband and daughter. We drove to 3 restaurants to collect our meals and brought them home to eat together at the table. Yes at the table! A rare occasion indeed. Kathy Barrick’s animal design is my favorite of hers too.
I stitched all morning! Nothing else that happened that day matters. 🙂
Valentines Day we cooked a wonderful little meal and enjoyed it with my elderly mother as well. It was a day all about family love….. really love these videos………
Ha ha ha Valentines Day was work, work and work more work. I did get to stitch a bit before bedtime. Whew!!! I was able to grab a quick hug from my teenaged son (so rare!) and FaceTime with my daughter in college between her classes. An okay day all around!
❤ your Nashville updates and commentaries. It’s so hard to pick a favorite.
I called my Mother and wished her a Happy Valentine's Day, Wished my best friend Happy Anniversary, and went for a quick dinner (including dessert). The dessert was what made it a special dinner, otherwise a normal day in the neighborhood. Lol You crack me up so much! ❤these installments for Nashville Market! A really nice Line up today!!!
i stitched and watched hockey for valentine’s day.. really lived up to my username!
For Valentines Day. We drove through and took home fish dinners and went home. Loved it.
My Valentine’s Day was pretty laid back and my husband cooked us a lovely fish dinner! Love seeing all the market releases and I love being a model stitcher for Cheryl! Always up to model stitch for others! Happy stitching!
I’m just now finding you and I love watching you! Your hair is adorable! The curls are gorgeous! I’m so jealous!!! 😊. Thank you for bringing Nashville Needlework new charts! You have went above and beyond for us and your comments are just the best! Just love you! 😊. I loved your Valentines Day comments! My husband passed last year so I enjoyed it with my best friend, my black Labrador! Have a great week!
For Valentine's Day, I watched the series finale of La Brea! How romantic can I be!!!!
I cross-stitched on Valentines Day! Really enjoying the Nashville window shopping.
I worked all night. My SO has planned something to celebrate it tonight. ❤
I was with a good friend of mine when she let her dear cat go to the rainbow bridge. Not my best Valentines Day. I will so miss him. She would tell him I was coming over, and he would be waiting for me looking out the window. Lap of Love came to her home, they are the best. I used their services for my own cat in June.
We made it out to dinner on Valentines Day for the first time ever! Thank you again for bringing us the run down!
I quilted with my quilting buddies. Great way to spend the day.
For Valentine’s Day I stitched and then we went out to a nice dinner. The best kind of day. 🙂
My local stitching group had a planned stitch night set for the evening of Valentine's Day. A few days before, my husband asks me if I had plans and I hesitantly told him that I was planning to go to the group that night. He said, "Well, it's Valentine's Day, you know. Can we go out to dinner before you go to the stitching group?" So, I got to have dinner with my husband AND spend a couple of hours stitching with friends! It was a great night! I'm so sorry that your night was more lackluster. 😢 Hopefully next year will be better!
I'm loving these videos!!! My wishlist is getting a bit long.......😂
For Valentines Day I watched One Day on Netflix and sobbed my way till the final
I went to the salon, had my hair done, picked up a bottle of wine, a new pair of soft pants, and slayed the tune casserole. After our quiet dinner, we retired to our evening chairs and my spouse watched a kill em dead action show and I stitched. He thinks I’m watching because I’ve learned to gauge the right time to look up, I’m happy stitching and it’s the perfect Valentine’s night.
I went to my daughter's. We a both manual therapists (PT"s) and we worked on each other for 90 minutes. Therapists work all day on others and rarely get treated ... It was lovely.
Another great video. Not too much celebration for Valentines day just cards and kisses!
We celebrated on Saturday because Lent started on Valentine’s Day. We got takeout and watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and A Midsummer Night’s Dream!
Hubster brought me a bunch of flowers and we watched a PBS show about murders. Very romantic. 😂
My Valentines Day was just wonderful, for that matter my whole year has been just great. I was out of town right after Christmas and came home to my husband needing surgery on both his feet. From hospital, to doctor visits, to home health, to rehab, to me at his beck and call 24/7 it really hasn’t been a great start to a new year! I need stitching rehab therapy!
My daughter and I took our friend, whose husband had passed away, out to dinner! Thanks for showing all the charts
I lost my forever Valentine three years ago after 44yrs. He told my daughter to always make sure I had flowers for Valentine’s Day, and so she held her promise and her and her two little boys delivered flowers and a balloon on Valentine’s Day. That at least brought a smile to my face. Thanks for all your updates I’ve already pre-ordered a few. Can’t wait to see what else Will be showing up at Nashville.
On Valentine’s Day, I had a vet appointment for my kitty and then my husband had a rec league volleyball game. So I got myself a slushie from the concession stand. ❤
Watched the KC Chiefs parade on tv then it turned into a tragedy - Had friends attending, all ok. Cooked steaks on grill for supper then attended Ash Wednesday service at church. Thanks for the update on market. So many choices!!
My Valentines day turned somber. I live in Kansas City and there was a mass shooting at the Super Bowl Parade. I did not attend the parade but to watch this play out on TV took the wind out of my sails. You got me with your apology....I laughed when you got to the end.
Valentine's day this year was uneventful. Matter of fact, I just made my husband his Valentines Day special dinner Wednesday, 2/21. Thank you for your video today! It was a hoot!
Had burger, king with the family. Also had my valentine's gift hung on the wall.
I didn’t do much for Valentine’s Day. My hubby worked late, so I hung out with my 3 yo daughter. We ate chocolate covered strawberries that my mom sent us (she sends me a valentines gift every year) and snuggled on the couch watching Disney lol
I became a mom on Valentine’s Day 32 years ago. Our Valentine’s Day was spent celebrating her! I made Indian tacos and banana cake - an odd combination but it was yummy. So my husband gets a pass on having to plan a dinner buy me flowers or candy for Valentine’s Day ……. Every year 😢 lol
I spent my Valentine’s Day getting my hair done and grocery shopping. Then home to make my hubby a steak and my daughter and I chicken piccata. It was a nice day❤❤❤ Thanks for the updates.
Another great lineup! We kept it low-key for Valentine's. Just had dinner at home. I did finish up my decorations last minute and run to the store to get my daughter something while she was at school. If it wasn't for the last minute I wouldn't get anything done.
We went to eat at a local restaurant, no crowds, no waiting in line and the food is great! Went to pay, and someone paid for our dinner!!! We have no clue who it was but a nice blessing for sure
My husband and I have been married 53 years. So most holidays have become "Happy ______" and a kiss. So, as usual, I then spent the rest of my day stitching.
We went out for dinner on Valentines Day.
On Valentine’s Day, I made my spouse Chocolate cake with Fudge frosting. I also stitched, but on a jelly roll quilt I am making. I cross stitch and quilt my 2 favorite things.
Congratulations to the winner, I love spring. budget oh my you own a dollar for the naughty word, giggles and more giggles. thank-you for a great video, you are a bundle of fun.
We went out for lunch and my husband bought me some grid rulers- very much needed! It was wonderful. First time on your channel and it was refreshing! 😂. Sitting here stitching what I own and salivating for Nashville Market!
For Valentine's day I spent some of the day stitching! What could be better! ❤
I give my husband a card a day from 2-1 up to Valentine’s Day and fixed him a steak dinner. We shared a pazcki for desert and I gave him a gift of a Cameo from one of his favorite celebrities. We settled in and watched old Hart to Hart episodes. Our 29th Valentine’s Day together (25th married)❤ love all the nature themed pieces
We had a quiet dinner at home, my husband watched tv and I stitched.
Thanks for all of your updates about Nashville Market. So many exciting things!
This year for Valentine’s Day I gave my husband a list of why I love him. He said it was the best gift that he had ever gotten, and that made my day even more special. ❤
Love your flosstubes, Steph. Thanks for sharing your time and talent with us.😊
Valentines day was stupendous! I was not, however, the giver this year. My husband, on the other hand, bought me beautiful flowers, a bottle of bourbon cream and made me a wonderful breakfast. It was just a great day all around.
Valentines Day… greatly overrated! But it is fun. We went to Raisin Canes, got food to go, and went right back home! But I am a bit of a homebody! When I was teaching, I couldn’t believe the amount of flowers, candy, balloons, etc. that were delivered to school! That was about 15 years ago. I can’t imagine what they young loves are spending now! Your critique on these items is great! You just bring a smile to my face!
I am a lover of V-day but for the last 7 years I have had no lover so I take myself out for dinner. It works for me! I have the best time sitting at the restaurant bar chatting with couples that are out on their dates. This way I just don't feel so left out. Love your channel. Lisa
Valentine's Day was just another day for me. Worked during the day & cross stitched in the evening while watching Floss Tubes. 😊
I worked about 12 hours on Valentine's Day. Part was in our hospital gift shop where we sold almost $5k that day. I do not ever want to see another heart balloon. LOL Then after that, it was off to teach piano lessons to 7 more students. It was long but very productive day helping people they love feel special and enjoy their day. Afterwards, I hugged my two Scottish terriers and we played together. Hope your following days were much better.
I gave my husband a rock I painted with a heart and our initials, and made fettuccine Alfredo for dinner, making the sauce from scratch for the first time ever! Easy and delicious! ❤
Went to the dentist after work and had my teeth cleaned on Valentine,s Day, yea. Love Kathy Barrick #2.
My husband and I went out for lunch. Then we went shopping for a cabinet for my sewing/craft room. ❤️ Best Valentine’s Day in 53 years. We both enjoyed the day!
I had dinner with my daughters and then we explored Barnes & Noble together since my husband was out of town all week. It was fun! I am thoroughly overwhelmed by all the awesome new designs coming out. Wow!
My husband went to breakfast with his retired friends on Valentine’s Day. He brought flowers home with him. He asked me what I wanted to do - I told him, I wanted to stitch. 😊
Valentine's Day is my daughter's birthday. This year she turned 6! We celebrated her and had a hard time with her getting so big. 🥲 💖💕💖
Hi Steph - boy the great releases keep coming! On Valentine's Day, we also had a nice steak dinner. And we were watching a show when my big brother called me. He lives in a different state and we had not talked for awhile. We talked for about 90 minutes. My poor husband had to wait until I was done talking to my brother in order to finish our show. But all was good! Take Care
You crack me up. Please do your next video while day drinking! 😂🥃
On Valentine's Day I drank a bottle of wine, did some stitching and watched Flosstube... all the things I love ♥ So many talented designers inspiring us!
I went to work on Valentine’s Day. I’m an infants teacher at a daycare/ learning center so I spent the day cuddling, getting thrown up on, and teaching babies (seriously we have a curriculum for 1 month old through 1 year olds). Finally I came home to dinner my husband made and a selection of my favorite candies.
My sympathies to you for your Valentine’s Day! Mine was not much better, all because of a letter from the DMV. My husband got a letter stating all the documents needed to renew his driver’s license, which needed to be completed before Sunday, his birthday. So right after a nice dinner he started looking for his social security card. Did he find it? Was he stressed? Did we have a pleasant evening? Did we watch a movie? NO! I stayed away from His Grumpiness all evening while he tore apart his desk, with both of us going to bed after 1 am. He printed out last year’s tax return hoping that they would accept it. Next day, we went to the DMV, with fingers crossed. The clerk asked for his current card, and quickly scanning it said “your card is Compliant,so we don’t need anything else”! Happy Valentine’s Day!
We watched a college women’s basketball game on Valentine’s Day. Thanks for a great video!
Well Valentines Day - like every Wednesday in our house (except getting a new water pillow for my bed as a Valentines gift - yep you heard me right ! So romantic huh ??? - practical but would have preferred more $$ toward my Nashville list). Anyway went to work at my daily job at the hospital, went to stitch group after work (as hubby went to granddaughter's basketball game and wasn't home to share a romantic dinner - hey more more can a girl ask for - I got a pillow right), left stitch group -starting getting chills, got home not feeling that well, got up yesterday with 102.5 temp and COVID. So like I said yesterday upping the ante for my budget for Nashville. Happy Valentine's to me. 🙌🙌
Omg - I just found your channel today. You crack me up. I just keep laughing.
I’m definitely a fan for life.
Our Valentine’s Day was unforgettable.
I had a meeting at church, we had left-over Mexican for dinner and we also watched an un-recommendable movie. My husband never ceases to sweep me off my feet. 😆
But I was cross stitching during the movie, so all was good.
Valentine's Day was pretty quiet in our home. I did exchange emojis with my 9 year old grandson. He usually sends me all the things that make me cringe like mice. However, he was very sweet and sent mostly roses.
My husband and I work different times. I work 7 to 4:30 and he works Noon to 10 PM. I woke up to a lovely card by the coffee pot. I left his card on the table for when he arrived home. Even though we didn't do anything together that day, I know that there are still special ways to stay connected. Perhaps we will go out for dinner this weekend. Love your shopping videos. Thanks for sharing.
What did I do on Valentine's Day, you ask? I pondered my existence, wondered why my neighbors' Christmas lights have been flashing non-stop since Thanksgiving, did a bit o' stitching...all while experiencing my cat horking up a hairball. It was perfect!
Valentines Day was lovely. Nice day at work.....sweet gifts from hubby.....nice dinner at. ❤
Another awesome show on more beautiful designs…I spent Valentine’s at hospital being put in a cast for the first in my life with 5 breaks in my foot so have been really enjoying watching all the videos I hadn’t been able too.
I spent the day stitching on a Valentine chart and making some Valentine pillow boxes with my paper craft dies. Then we had a nice supper at home and we watched a movie. I am enjoying your videos. There are so many wonderful new charts coming out.
lots of great new patterns. For valentine's day for the first time in over 20 years I went out with the boyfriend for middleeastern food .... soooo yummy.
I had a tea party for my 6 year old granddaughter and her teacher. Had so much fun…..treats and tea and card games……..then the next night dinner out with my dear special husband!
My husband and I went to a Celtic step dancing show then out to dinner! It was such a relaxing time! ❤
Love your Nashville rundowns, so much fun! Valentines? You mean I missed it, again? 😉 Maybe I’ll take myself out to dinner tonight.
We enjoyed a delicious Valentine's Day lunch and shopping, that included a fabulous needlework store, on the day before. Then enjoyed a beautiful day of yardwork (aka spring training) on the actual day. 💚"Spring" is the Picture This Plus fabric I purchased at The Stitcher's Garden in Conway, Arkansas. 💚 Ready for it! 🌷🌳🐝 (You are a hoot!)😄
This year Valentine’s Day was shared with Ash Wednesday so we spent the evening at mass. Thanks for such a fun rundown of the new releases.
We both took the day off and went out for breakfast and lunch, and I made his favorite dinner, sauce cooked all day in the crockpot. Then we had a piece of carvel’s cookiepuss for dessert! It was a very yummy day😍
Love your videos. I spent my Valentines evening teaching Leadership and Aerospace to a group of Civil Air Patrol Cadets. On the 13th, the day before, for my anniversary (25th) , I spent the evening setting a an Emergency Services presentation for next month on Air to Ground signaling for search teams.
We’re exciting over here after 48 years of wedded bliss! Take out fish and shrimp fry from our local supermarket!
Steph, I would love to see your short list. MY short list just keeps getting longer and longer…😂
I have loved these videos, thank you 💛
I have been married 63 years & my husband took me out to dinner, bought me 63 roses & daises, p-nut butter M & M’s (my favorite) & got me a beautiful card! Can’t beat that❤️🥰❤️
PS - I love your hair❤️❤️
Valentines' Day, what was that? I have no one to do anything about that day. I am a widow that spent my day stitching away, just like any other day. What wonderful releases you shared today! I can imagine how much your brain is on overload by now. Whew, I would be totally at a loss for words by now. You are doing great.
Valentine's Day was filled with stitching Wisdom by Teresa Kogut. Stitching is comforting on days when I'm "off".
My husband and I went out to breakfast and then went to Rocklear to buy a tool he needs to make special projects for our daughters.
My hubby was working on Valentine’s Day but me and the kiddos went to church for Ash Wednesday. Nothing crazy! 😂
