It's hard to describe to friends just how happy stitchers are within themselves! Think about it!! A bit of fabric, lots of threads a great chart and the world slips away into the joy of stitching! I'm a flossaway and loran girl, too! floss storage is in the flossaway bags and each project is kitted into loran (or DIY facsimile) cards. It's so fun watching your excitement. Will enjoy the follow on videos.

I did it Samatha! I bought The Lily Maiden off the secondary market and can hardly wait till it gets delivered to me! Thank you for your Floss Tubes. I love having a stitchy friend from Canada! I remember my Grandparents talking about living in Bamph for about a year probably in the 1920's. They had gone to the Calgary Stampede.

Mirabilia Butterfly Fairy is one of my must-stitch patterns also, and Poppy is a very sentimental pattern for me and on my short list to stitch as well. I love all your beautiful projects and watching you bring them to life! ☺️💕

You having had a black cat named Shadow made my heart smile. We just adopted two black kittens last month. One of them loves to go behind the cotton curtain in the sunshine. Our son calls him Shadow when he does this, and it happened right before I started this video 😊 Love watching your videos Samantha!!

Great video, Samantha! Your talk about wanting to stitch a nutcracker got me thinking…I would love to find a Miramilia-esque Nutcracker pattern! It would be so gorgeous with beads and sparkly floss. The hunt is on.
So fun to see your progress and plans. That dragon piece is amazing! I did a year of the rabbit piece for my sister last year, so I think she needs a year of the dragon something this year, I just haven't decided what yet. It was great to catch up with you!

Wow! When I first started cross-stitching in ~1988, LoRan cards was how we all kept our floss because we were monogamous stitchers and just carried all our floss with our project. What a nice blast from the past!
Me too! I return to cross stitch every 5 yrs or so and I still use the LoRan cards I started with in the 80s! 😂 One project at a time until finished! 😂

Good Saturday Morning Samantha. Here in my neck of the woods it is softly snowing and looks oh so pretty. Great day to stitch. and watch flosstube of course. I hope to join your dragon sal. I have one but not sure whom it is by or where it is at the moment. It isnot a Teresa Wentzler. I think. So sad to hear about 'Poppy' being out of print. I can't stitch fast enough...lol... I knew I shouldn’t have watched your update, Samantha!!! I have a copy of “The Storyteller” and it is not an easy pattern to come by. I also have wanted to start one of Theresa’s dragons for a long, long time. (Those are the reasons to participate ) Now the other side of the puzzle, when I start a blended threads pattern I just have to have it kitted easy for me ( as you know that takes a lot of time) and in February I am hosting Full Coverage February on IG with an acrostic challenge and questions for full coverage stitchers with prizes. But will that stop me? No! 😉😁
I probably will only get a handful of stitches done on February 10th, but it is too serendipitous to pass up! Thank you for suggesting the SAL, you now have another willing participant 😂

Just started my first luca-s kit❤❤❤
I am still figuring out the blends for TW. I’ve made special little floss drops for them all but it’s been tricky with the small sections at a time. It’s the partial stitches getting me bogged up
Samantha, what Just Cross Stitch magazines were those other charts in? I have all the issues through 2015 on DVD. At Stitch-Con last summer I got to meet the editor-in-chief of the magazine and asked about any updated DVDs, and she let me know that if you are a subscriber you have access to all three issues digitally!! I literally gasped out loud at the Poinsettia angel and now I need to find her!! Let me know when you are ready to start Mitten Men! I recently freed my Lowery stand from its box and am so excited to start using it!! As always, beautiful work, and stay warm!!!

You will love stitching her and I knew you would. 😊 Now - you have enabled me to to restart my Teresa Wentzler's English Cottage Sampler. I bought it years ago so, I am so excited. The directions call for 25 ct stitching over 2 so I think I will do that. Last time I started it I used a 16 ct and I didn't like it. Also, the Dragon Sal sounds like fun so I will join you and start my HAED Dragon Races. Take care and hope to see you again soon!
