I was once driving an extended truck and pulling a trailer. On the highway through West Texas, I was stopped by two officers in a Highway Patrol car because one of the lights on the trailer was out and night was coming. Those nice officers would not let me get out of the truck, explaining that there were stickerburrs in the roadside weeds and not wanting me to get the burs in my trousers. The two of them took the rear light apart, fixed it, put it back together, and sent me on my way. Gentlemen, both.
Similar experience in Georgia. Shoutout to city of Kennesaw PD.
I'm some glad someone's out there looking out for truckers. It's such a dangerous and important job that y'all do.
Police have a high-risk, stressful job.
It doesn't make sense to antagonize them - ever.
To those who argue that LE attracts bad people; it's true of ALL professions. Some people will do a great job, others won't.
.....the question remains, however: why antagonize or cause unnecessary drama for another person for any reason?

This woman's behavior is absolutely disgraceful. Drinking and driving with a child in the car is beyond reckless and selfish. That poor little girl deserves so much better. Kudos to the officers for handling the situation with patience and professionalism

@@JohnDoe-qz1ql It's selfish because she is endangering her daughter. As a parent your job is ensure the safety and well-being of your kids and prioritize that over your own entertainment. Additionally, she was endangering everyone's safety on the road as well. A drunk driver killed my uncle 3 days before he was supposed to get custody of me and my siblings out of foster care so I have ZERO sympathy for drunk drivers.
Actually I was worried the whole time when the officers were trying to get her in the car that the little girl might get out and get hurt in traffic.
These are the first types of moms that say “I’m a good mother”. No you’re not. You’re a terrible mother. You’re a destructive mother you’re a dangerous mother.
My sister is like this. She will preach about being a good mom but constantly gets shit faced every night in front her young son

lol. In theory I agree. But in reality I would like to take my tint down another level cause glare gets in my eyes and I can’t see as well. Tinting helps.
Also the first time I tinted was because guys were harassing me and cat calling on the highway. It was distracting. lol. One guy almost ran off the road 😐 I tinted them the next day
When people act like this in front of cops, you can bet they are 1000 times worse with family, friends and anyone who they don’t like.
9 times out of 10 it’s the cops being criminal. Cops are not your friend. Cops are not brave and most certainly not “hero’s”…
I don’t disobey blatantly but I do question authority and not comply with unlawful demands . I am very polite and decent person just because I don’t bow to the badge doesn’t make me a horrible person : I love my family and would do anything for them

Big shout out to those officers. Even the use of the taser was with care and regard for her well-being. They seemed to assess the situation and used force under what the law said they could. That weren't belittling to her, they didn't disrespect her even though she was behaving poorly. Im upset that this woman put her daughter through this but i am so happy we have fine examples of what a officer should be. Kudos to these officers.

You'd be surprised how patient you can be when your in the hot seat. Wasnt all professional, they tripped over enough words and back tracked enough sentences that any English teacher present wouldve thought they need the special class. Anxiety and audible nervousness, that's what I want in my city cops. Anxiety and overflowing adrenaline on a stop. Im sure nothing bad ever happened in that type of situation.
@22smcrrider96 i mean, she was speeding with her child in the car, and had alcohol and a gun in the car. She checks all the boxes for a pretty high risk stop so in this case, everything they did was justified

The rest of you in the comments need to chill lol. The mother was wasted driving 30miles an hour OVER the limit with a child and weapon. The cops very well could have saved the child’s life and the life of others. This wasn’t controversial or anything
That gun wasn't found on the floor of the front passenger seat (go back and watch that part), was on the floor of the back seats. Her daughter was sitting with that gun right on the floor beside her. She also could have gotten out of that car and been hit.... They're on the damn freeway! What is wrong with this woman?! People like this make me so angry. We have only seen minutes of this woman and the level of danger she put her child in. Just imagine every other day of her life that we don't see.
They should have to do community service until they’ve paid off the cost of the law enforcement resources they waste. After prison that is.

There’s something so vile about drinking and driving with your baby in the car. It’s beyond reckless. When most parents have their babies in the car they are in the slow lane, driving the speed limit, being extremely careful. This kid deserves better.
Drinking and driving in itself is reckless, period. With a child aggravates it further. Alcohol shouldn’t be around vehicles or children.

Anytime I see something like this I am reminded that alcohol is perfectly legal while we have to jump through hoops to smoke weed. I've known heroin addicts who comport themselves with more thought and care for the safety of those around them. Alcohol is such a disgusting stain on society. And yes, it should be legal, but so should a lot of other stuff.

I’m not disagreeing about it being unfathomable that a parent would put their own child in danger. But even if the drunk doesn’t have kids in their car I often have my kids in mine and I don’t appreciate having to share a road with drunk and reckless drivers.

It’s so sad how many terrible uncaring parents are “caring” for innocent sweet children. Every child deserves a parent but not every parent deserves a child. And it’s so infuriating to see a bad parent in action and know that child is stuck with them.

I remember seeing an online article about this, as someone who got their united state citizenship the legal way, I always shake my head at these 2nd or 3rd generation immigrants who take the benefits of being a US citizen for granted, they don't care about the rule of law and have no respect for authority whatsoever, such entitlement irks me as I worked hard to get my citizenship and it took a LONG time.
Hi Bruce, I'm a recent subscriber and fan. I'm 45, my only ticket and accident are 20 years in the past. I really appreciate your insightful view to legal situations and your sense of humor as you go along with it. The two things that I have been very strongly reminded of by watching this channel are: 1) Don't turn a minor problem into a major problem. 2) Make the right choices to avoid minor problems.
Those are great lessons for anyone in a position of responsibility, or anyone growing into the age that they'll have responsibilities.

Definitely well past ignorant, straight into flippant disregard. She knows, she just doesn't care, and I'm inclined to think that's just her personality. She wasn't worried about what happened to her daughter, but only what happened to her in front of her daughter, and only a little bit. It's like she's just pissed off because the cops have inconvenienced her. That poor kid. If she goes back to her mother, I hope someone continues to monitor that situation. And I hope someone in her life can set a better example for her while she's still young. Sometimes our parents do a good job of showing us what to do, and other times they excel at showing us what NOT to do.

I LOVE these reactions. I have a hard time watching these videos on my own, but with you, I can watch the whole way through and be surprised when it's done!
Aside from the wonderful education I get from your channel, Bruce, one of the great things about it is how much it has made me appreciate police work and what cops have to deal with constantly. I'd last about an hour in this profession. In that hour, I would have tased about ten people and then had to be hospitalized for mental health reasons so that I didn't un-alive anyone. I was EMS and worked closely with cops in my town..most of whom are great men and women. Watching this stuff causes me to respect them even more.
Ysah, agreed, I have family and family who are retired and active duty cops and I have no idea how they dealt with it. I would crack even just under the constant stress of knowing that there are people out there who want me dead. Add onto that the fact that I don't deal with stupid people well and I would not last long either.

We just had a tragic case here in Tacoma. A woman who got hammered drove with four young children in the car she wrecked into a bridge column at high speed and killed everyone in that car. She even videos herself on social media earlier in the night and she's clearly hammered. Just so tragic and unnecessary

Seriously. Not a parent but the fact that there are people out there this uncaring and negligent out there just breaks my heart. I really hope that they can find someone who can actually give her a healthy upbringing, be it a family member or an adoptive family.
A few years ago here in Michigan, some teens who had just graduated high school went out to go get some pizza. As they were driving they got T-boned by a woman who had her driver's license revoked for several DUIs. She was drunk, going 80 mph on city streets, and drove over a curb before hitting the kids. All four teens were killed. Woman was charged with four counts of second degree murder. She deserves everything she gets but it still saddens me that nothing will bring those kids back.

So, I actually have a hilarious story about mace. My brother and I were in my grandmother's SUV and she was driving, when all of a sudden our eyes start burning and we're coughing our lungs up. My brother thought the mace was cologne, sprayed it on himself, and just kept quiet when it started burning. It spread throughout the vehicle and we had to drive with the windows down for a while. It's probably been 20 years and I still won't let him live it down. 🤣

I was in the checkout line at the grocery store when one by one all the people near me, including the cashiers, started touching our eyes and faces looking all confused. Then the burn settled in. It turned out to be a lady who accidentally set off her pepper spray. You could see she felt terrible about it and probably got hit the worst by her own pepper spray.

I’d love for you to cover the pilot who just got a $400,000 settlement in Loveland, Colorado. He was stopped and breathalyzed and blew 0. Officer then brought him to station, again 0 so he had to sign to give his blood because officers then said it must be drugs. Officer was super rude about the man reading the paperwork. He had NOTHING in his system. Being a pilot this really affected his life.
He shouldve got 4 MILLION not 400k. He had a really crappy lawyer

It has to do with training of the officer in this case. I have seen cops stop and handcuff motorist and turn out their pockets just as I am walking up. What the heck was the cop doing stuff like that. He had just the stop for a civil infraction and cuffs the guy and turns his pockets with no PC. it's amazing how some things happen.
@@mrbeverlyhills834 Right, right. $400K is just about $50K (or more) short of a senior airline pilot's annual salary as of 2024 so he should've gotten more than that amount. They have worked very hard to get to that level in life only to be f'ed up by a power-tripping high school graduate. But Airline companies are usually supportive of their pilots bc the good ones are an asset to the company. Imagine being entrusted with several million dollars worth of equipment for decades!

I've only smelled pepper spray once when some crazy guy ran into our restaurant being chased by police. They tackled him in the waiting area and sprayed him. Everyone got their meals comp'ed. lol
That stuff is no joke! I worked in a prison and had to get vital signs on an inmate in solitary confinement that had been pepper sprayed. Even though I was not sprayed directly the amount of fluid that poured out of my eyes and nose was incredible!

In Washington State, small children can be placed in emergency foster care if no one comes to pick up the child. My ex and his wife were foster parents and they had kids placed with them in emergencies on a short-term basis.
She should be charged for not having the child in a car seat. And call CPS.

Her peeing in the car reminds me of this cat my sister had when we shared an apartment. She'd go to her boyfriend's for a week and I'd take care of the cat, but Kitty was not having it. One day, soon as my sister got back, Kitty jumped up onto her bed, looked her straight in the eye, and peed everywhere. Honestly, I couldn't stand that cat, but I'll admit her anger was not misplaced. 😅
I had a cat like that ! He wanted to go outside and I wouldn’t let him. He jumped in my lap , I thought to cuddle , but no, he peed on me. Another time he left a fresh , warm pile of poop under an afghan on a sofa that I would tuck my feet under . His name was Chuck but it should have been Lucifer .

We do not pay our cops well enough. I was raised by one and I can’t tell you how often he had difficulty sleeping. This job does a number on those who truly care, even the strongest ones.
This makes me eternally grateful I quit drinking. I used to be SO stupid and couldn't live with myself if my kids had to go through that with me. This breaks my heart. Thank you Jesus for helping me, I pray this mother wakes up before her daughter leads the same life.
