Thank you for defining the definition of oversinging and explaining what you can do to avoid it. The term has been misused on CZcams by fans of divas and female pop stars. In these videos, oversinging means overusing riffs and runs rather than tension while singing. It's a shame how a word can be watered down to mean something else.
ik im late to this video but this was so inspiriational. I never give myself a break from singing and trying to push myself to sing higher so I can be as good as the people I work with in theatre, and this kind of made me realize its ok to sing in a way thats comfortable for me

Awesome video about a topic that is completely overlooked. As a piano singer, I struggle with this intensely. I think that there is so much going on, with regard to muscular activity and control, as a singing instrumentalist, the body goes into a bit of overdrive. Learning to tame that beast is a talent all its own. Thanks for making this wonderful video!

I am a kid but sounded like a baby sometimes an old woman. But thank u so much for this cuz I will perform in front of my family so i need to sing very well
These vocal tips are REALLY helpful. Can you do one on vibrato? Mine is always tight and narrow, inconsistent even when I'm relaxed with great posture.
