Best tips !!! Thank you !!!! Posture is a struggle 😊

Thank you for watching! I think it gets hard to concentrate on posture when you're singing, but it's so key. When I made my alignment video as my first video in this series, I knew it had to be the first one. It's foundational :). I forget sometimes myself to make sure I'm in proper alignment.

I always think about articulation when I sing, but not when I speak and as a teacher I speak all day long and always get horse. Thank you for the information, so well expressed.

Ice cream cone, microphone, ice cream cone, microphone, icream cone, remote control!! Zoinks! In our house, default microphone has always been hairbrush lol. another great tutorial Katie, I'll try anything that makes my mumbling better, thanks.
I'm of now to change batteries in remote 😉

😘This is good...Ice cream cone, Microphone, ice cream cone, microphone🍦🎤 great analogy, I'll always remember that! I use the same type of "remote" microphone for singing around the house too 😂

Of course !!!!!!! After warming up, any cold drinks, including ice in drinks. I do a huge amount of singing, and always put a splash of hot water into cold water to make it warmer, and never ice in drinks

Hahahah! Thanks so much. I totally hear you. It's a give and take with the sound engineer. You have to be supporting your voice properly to give the engineer something to wrok with.

Katie, you are an amazing teacher! I just found you recently. Your videos that teach songs are so great. Do you ever take ideas from followers? I was so hoping you had a teaching video for The Climb by Miley Cyrus. Been looking everywhere for a good one!

You have a great way of teaching with a smile and creating fun learning Katie. I've done the Turtle too! Hahaha.
Sitting here I tried pushing my neck out into the Turtle. While singing a note I slowly pulled my head back to the proper alignment and the modulation (right term?) of the note became clearer, cleaning and less stressful. I must remember your Dolphin speak technique 🐬💜🐬

Cool video! I don't know whether or not you do tutorials for guitar but theres this song called Amazing Grace / Jesus Loves Me / Alleluia and I've been trying to learn the chords(the same thing repeats the whole time)but I haven't found anything helpful on it. There’s only one cover I can find on it and I can’t seem to understand the strings he’s picking. Could you maybe look into this song? If not totally fine. Have a good day!

Avoid hot beverages too, practically all of them coat or tense your vocal chords. Room temperature is just right!

Great video! I like the ice cream cone thing, but isn't it a no-no to cover your mouth? I want to see the performers whole face. Maybe you can cheat it down a little.
