Canary Motorcycle Tours - Part Two (32 Hairpin Bends 😱)

- This video will hopefully show viewers what a fabulous weeks holiday on the island of Gran Canaria with Canary Motorcycle Tours is like. I have made this into a five episode series showing all of the runs we did over the five riding days. Each day turned out to be very different from the last, with a great mix of fabulous roads to ride, all with stunning scenery.
This holiday is definitely, in my opinion, not for the inexperienced rider or someone who has just passed their test. I also wouldn’t recommend going with a pillion. Many of the roads we ride on are very narrow with many tourist rental cars presenting a hazard on some of the very tight corners. It’s important to try, where possible, to keep to the right hand side of the road. This is purely for your own safety.
This holiday I found was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were picked up by Canary Motorcycle Tours and taken to our hotel for the week. The hotel is on a bed and breakfast basis and is excellent. It’s located within a five minute walk from Canary Motorcycle Tours base which is very convenient. It’s also well located for local restaurants, shops and bars.

Brilliant TN, Bealach na Ba in the rain and mist is never going to cut it now 😊 , and you're absolutely right all the fallers I have seen on very tight up hill hairpins have all stalled their machines.....

Yes, the Bealach na Ba will be so easy now 🤣
Actually what did make it very easy was the V-Strom. It had such excellent balance and throttle control, also the low down torque of the engine all helped to make me look good 😂

Brings back great memories. My favourite bit of breakfast in the Elba was their orange squeezing machine 😂. One of our channel stickers is on one of the poles at that fabulous view point not far from Maspalomas.
As a winter riding destination, the Canaries take some beating

That pole was very sticker friendly 😂. Also loved the orange squeezing machine, delicious fresh juice.

Yes it’s quite a special place for motorcycling, fantastic scenery and roads. I did hit one pothole on the last day, the roads put ours to shame.

Yes we were in the north, actually we were in all parts of the island. The videos coming up in the series are up in the north, very different scenery from the south. Hope you enjoy them as well 👍

Yes it was in Spain, Gran Canaria in fact. A very special place to enjoy motorcycling.

How did you like the vstrom? Did you find it comfortable on long rides?
I absolutely loved the 650 V-Strom. It goes well, handles well and is great fun to ride. And yes it was very comfortable, I could ride it all day with no issues at all. I find myself wanting to buy one but don’t want to get rid of any of my current bikes and can’t justify having four 🤣
