  • In this video I describe all the steps I took which were necessary to make my first successful print with this CTC Prusa i3 printer. From leveling the bed, to slicing STL-models to g-code and making sure that the print sticks to the bed.

    My printer came with no glass and just a wooden bed with masking tape across it. Should I add a glass bed and what thickness do you recommend?

    • @basvandersluis5662
      @basvandersluis5662  Před 3 lety

      I would just try it first. The masking tape is to help te print stick to the bed. If your prints fail, you can always add some glass (5mm or so).

      @@basvandersluis5662 Many thanks - I think I am going to have to add some glass as the print is not sticking to the bed.

    • @basvandersluis5662
      @basvandersluis5662  Před 3 lety

      @@julianlander7259 You can also try to raise the print bed, so that the first layer is pressed on the bed more firmly, or add some adhesive (special 3d print adhesive or some hair spray)

    Did the t8 rods end up working?

    • @basvandersluis5662
      @basvandersluis5662  Před 4 lety

      No. I had to buy actual TR8X2 lead screws. Those work amazing with this printer!

    i have roblem with this 3d printer i cannot install it on my pc have you any idea how to install ?

    • @basvandersluis5662
      @basvandersluis5662  Před 5 lety

      If you have Windows 10, search for software like Repetier Host. There you select a similar Prusa i3 printer and you are almost set to go.
