- We went on a tour of London on our trusty new WAU X e-bike and we fell in love... with both the bike, and with London.

At last I'm first to view and comment! was looking forward to this one!
We should collab 💪
@@Electroheads for sure!
It's a LOT more expensive than you said. For the 40 mile version its £1890 but if you want the 100 mile version like yours it's £2490
Even more. You're forgetting the colour display, mudguards and maybe a thumb throttle. Add extra if you want the fast charger too.
Personally, for this kind of end price I'd just buy a Niu e-moped.
It's another ad for an ebike they are selling on their store.
I really like the direction the WAU is going, but it still feels like a prototype and not a finished concept in some ways. I am quite excited to see if they come out with a new model that improves on this!
I did strongly consider this bike last year, but in the end I went for a Cube with a Bosch motor for about the same price instead, partly for more peace of mind in terms of safety and availability of servicing, and also because various other things:
1: The rear/indicator lights are awesome looking, but as soon as you put panniers on it, they will be almost completely blocked. They also are diffuse and don't have a focussed beam going straight back to give enough long distance or daytime visiblity. Also what's the point of having rear indicators without front ones? you'll still need to use hand signals, so it seems an unnecessary extra faff to use them in addition.
2: at the time they (surprisingly, given the rear and frame ones) had no integral front light, but it seems from your video they have added this feature now, which is good to see. I wonder what the power rating on the connection is/if you can upgrade it .
2: The battery area means no space for frame bags, water bottles or lock mounts, even on the short range version.
3: Unlike Vanmoof who have their own insurance and bike hunting programme, the alarms and GPS tracking (which the police probably won't be able to help with) don't mean anything to your insurance, and I wouldn't ever trust leaving my bike not secured to something (already had a bike stolen and 2 friends before as well).
5: Expensive for what you get, The motor system looks to be the same Bafang gear which is on countless other bikes at lower price points, and it's not that the suspension, brakes or drivetrain are higher end either. I am somewhat willing to forgive this given they're a smaller new company and British though.
Nice review! Which cube bike did you get exactly?
So sorry to hear that your 2 friends were stolen...
i hope you've managed to get them back by now!
Pretty sweet bike and a great value to boot. I nominate the best value electric bike (at least in the USA), the Jetson Bolt Pro which can be had for as low as $330 new or $200 refurbished. It's a little bike that's got a lot for not a lot.
Ayy I'm the one on the trek
A very entertaining and informative video, guys. Thank you from 'up north' :)
This bike is properly cool. Industry is definitely innovating very quickly. Love it.
Very well modelled 🤩
Great Professional Video Presentation With Fantastic Communication Skills Very Well Deserved.
Crackin - more eBikes!
If this is best value I will wait for the actual value bike, £1890 for 40mile range, and £2490 for 100mile, some will say this is cheap but that's because you live in a different world where money is easy to come by.
Nice bike, certainly not the 'value' option
I have the 100 mile version. Extremely reliable bike. I've reached nearly 12,000 miles and still going strong.
Had e-bikes from Halfords before, but they simply would not last.
Yes here in uk rains a lot and the protection really good right the battery ? Like it seals shut stopping watter getting in that's what the difference for me getting this bike from the ones I had and I got
Think you guys just found me my new bike. Been taking me ages since everything for 200cm riders is either European so doesn't qualify for finance options or is way over my price point. But this is perfect
Can you do a video on Moja's ebike that has a mid drive motor conversion. Whats that mid drive conversion like to ride? how much did it cost to do? and how does it compare to a hub drive and to what seems the overpriced ebikes that come with a mid drive?
Always fun. 😊
Legal and practical. All tho it sounds expencive, compared to the other e-bikes on the market and the extended range this bike deserves to sell well .It looks tidy too.Nice;-)
Excellent 👌
Does this bike have a waterproof rating? None can be found on their website. And at that price point I'd simply just add a tiny bit more and go for a proper Brompton electric that actually works well for inner city rides. There's also another UK company called MiRider and their bike is very stylish too, not sure how it compares.
Wish I seen this bike when I was buying my ebike. Got a haibike trekking 10 now.
can I buy by cash please answer to me
wau! I want the host's pouch!
Are these still going.
Will they make an E Mountain Bike with similar features? 🤔
This is clean, well done guys
When did y'all get matching leather jackets? 👀
Wow 👍🇬🇧
Why would anyone wear a Orange boiler suite ?
Swifty Ebike from amazon uk when on offer is good value. i picked up the AT650 model a week ago on sale for £495, it comes with a smaller battery than specified unfortunately but still does around 25 miles on a charge. after a partial refund its only cost £420 which is to me a bargain.. even without the partial refund its a hard one to beat and while basic its built well enough... i can buy a 20AH battery for a few hundred getting the range up to 60+ miles easily plus some cool lights making it about £800. The WAU bike is cool but not good value and you can get a much better mid drive bike for that money.
Cool bike for taller people. Do you know any scooters or ebikes for shorter people?
No need to be tall. I'm 169cm and it's fine for me
Wow bike certainly hasn't got the wow factor. I can give the company ideas on how to design the ultimate ebike that will sell like hot cake
Wauuuuu
Cool vlog,cool bike.
I want one 🥰
Please don't buy one. You'll regret it
Decent wau that
If the range is as good as claim then someone needs to test it to prove it.
Saw it on Fully Charged a while back. I love it. Wish I could afford it 😔
I can afford it but can't justify it!
@@srspower Fair enough
First rule of horseback riding; don't sit on yourself (never sit on your kit). Tuck your equipment and sit on your much-more-cushy gluteus maximus. Hard seats are a menace; always tip these (literal buggers) forward and never tilt them back - ouch. Look, he's got a bon-ona seat for two.
Hola
Nottingham? The reason I left the place is because it's dying. Yeah, loads of cafe culture now, but nowhere near the life and vibe it had when I moved there in the 80s.
whats that place at 0:48? its a monstrosity
这个车好像中国没有销售的,价格也真的很 哇=WAU
Nice ski helmet.
this is pedal assist not full throttle
And now they've gone bust and done a runner leaving quite a few customers out of pocket just as I predicted
Pity they don't do cheap well made electric bikes in uk as usual we're ripped off
Why do they insist on putting cheese components (e.g. Lasco cranks, Shimano Acera derailleur) on a bike that costs $2K?
Perhaps we should do what the Americans do and advertise the shit out of it and double the price for them.....nice
imma save up for this badboy
Don't!
Upon discovering that a brand new 125cc motorbike was cheaper than the majority of e-bikes, I just had to investigate… This is what I discovered... 1. Nearly all e-bikes and components are built cheaply in China. 2. Unscrupulous companies import these, stick a brand name on it, and then sell it to you at astronomical profit margins. 3. Very few of these brand names have any after-sales support, especially after a few years, when spares are almost impossible to attain. 4. E-bikes in inexperienced hands can be very dangerous, with injuries more akin to those from motorcycles than from push bikes. Conclusion, in the ‘world of wheels’ e-bikes seem to be the new gold rush, through ruthlessly exploiting middle class conscience.
The Lemoto is the cheapest new 125 cc motorbike available in the UK..They're around £3k. You can get a pretty amazing e-bike for that. Or a Btwin folder for around £700.
Specs and price up front please. 1800 is too much. Both people interviewed guessed half the price. Covid price gouging continues. Lectric XP is still best value ebike in the USA.
The real issue is the fact that the UK has descended into a Police and surveillance state that oppresses and persecutes innovation in favour of hierarchical greed, hierarchical authoritarian violence against the majority, blind repetition, stagnation and decline.
.
In Notting Hill the impact of regressive, fear based policies and Milgram Experiment style authoritarianism isn't noticeable.
.
In other parts of the country it is.
.
There is a reason Galileo was put under house arrest, Alan Turing is on legal tender and Patel's "enthusiastic" Police will create excessive fines for escooter riders while rental schemes are in operation.
.
British societyis failing by fear and bling ignorance of progress, empowering a latent fascism : see BREXIT.
Stay way from this company guys. I'm not joking. If you fancy waiting for a bike for 70 days without any communication then this bike company is your best option.
Rude and ignorant bunch of people. I don't feel like spending £3k on a bike without getting any reassurance of your bike coming to you.
Stay clear from this bike
She’s like the super car blondie for ebike 🤭☺️
Guys its expensive, save ya money.
It's still a rip off.
Shame it’s a rip off
Its design is old and ugly.
100 Km is not 100 miles .. 100 km is 62 miles
