Oops! The battery has 540Wh , not 450Wh as mentioned in the vid.
Clickbait " remove the battery & you unlimited range " 😂
🤣
Whats so funny tho...most ebikes have single speed + heavy + dragged by motor ---> which makes it incredibly difficult to use on manual
but its true...
this is a dope looking bike, very practical in it's design. reminds me of vanmoof without the wild price tag.
"See some sights and ride some bikes" - I ❤ this!!
How theft-proof is the battery pack mounted on the bike?
Do I have to take it with me (3 Kg) every time I park my bike somewhere?
Lot's of happy videos on CZcams about this bike, but nobody talks about this subject.
I missed the bit where you folded it down to the size of a laptop.
Its that the smartpac, which contains all of the electronic elements and the battery, is the size of a laptop. We were trying to be clever, Rob. But you can be the judge of that.
No, you were only selling your video@@Electroheads
Very nice bikes. I like the design. Sometime later the penny drops, battery in backpack. Love it.
I really hoped you'd show a laptop-size-when-folded bike... Oh well, it's still an interesting and beautiful thing. The bike, I mean.
What else would you mean by thing?
6:22 a thing of beauty
ach houd toch je bek dicht kankerarmeen
Really like the switchable hub idea, I'm the kind of rider who would ride without the power pack at times for exercise... Being able to add the power module, even having a spare is also important to me. I could see doing really long day trips with assist at times(occasionally need to rest the knees...). Might be nice to add a rack on the back for panniers or power packs. One could get some serious range with a combo of a regular pack and a couple of super booster packs! I would go for the chain drive, multi gear, shock absorbing seat post. Oh, really enjoyed the side trip to Berlin! Wow is it impressive to look at Berlin on Google maps and switch to the bike trails view.
I like the idea of belt, drive, less dirty, less maintenance, and probably less noisy
but shitty on hills mate. Shimane Deore is da best
should be slightly lighter too... the carbon belt compared to chain+gears - any info on that? belt weight vs chain weight?
Very very interesting design! I do think that placement of the battery is not ideal for center of gravity. But the dealbreaker here is that the battery pack cost 900€ that is just bonkers, 700 would have been a lot, 600 also up there but approaching a reasonable price. 900 is absurd. Im aware it also houses a speed controller but still, 900 is way too much
Getting a bit fed up with these videos that feel like ads for bikes at the moment, still great videos though!
Thank you!
The step-thru isn't a step-thru. It's a step-over. It would be nice if LEMMO made a true step-thru. Most importantly, VanMoof is riddled with software problems and they're coasting on their reputation. The LEMMO must work without any, electronic, digital, or software issues whatsoever. All electric bikes should work like a toaster. Good luck to LEMMO.
Should be renamed step-thru-ish
A fair point! It means the bike is accessible to those who are smaller in height but not completely a step-thru
@@datadrivendev 🤣
@@Electroheads It's also not just about smaller in height. True step-thru is for urban commuters, ladies in dresses or for people in nice slacks who don't want to stretch their legs over the top tube. A step-thru is easy for mounting and dismounting and makes it easier to plant your feet on the ground at stoplights and when loading up groceries.
Test drove both frame types today and agree with all you've said. This really is a gem of a bike....actually prefer the style of the ST version over the top tube one. Great review.
Great video, really enjoyed watching you ride round those car-empty streets, such a great place to cycle. Bike is brilliant, Euros 900 for the elec-pak, hmmm... Good to see start-ups and grateful to you for taking the time out to show us new stuff.
Always grateful for your wonderful comments!
@@Electroheads Always look forward to your videos, they are the first ones opened.
I like the feature of switching between electric and manual. That would be so useful for times when the battery is very low. I have the ADO A20F and that is incredibly difficult to ride without any battery power. The resistance feels like being on a stepper in the gym.
Im on the fence about this one. With most of the lightweight rear hub bikes, you don't feel any resistance when you ride it without assistance. I mean, isn't this one of the main features of hub drives over mid-drives? So i don't know why this switching would be necessary. Some german reviews even said, they feel no difference when they switch modes on the Lemo. But hey - worst case it´s an unnecessary feature you'll never use - it doesn't make the bike any worse 😀
Wait, what happens exactly when an ebike dies? I thought it just turns into a regular bike? Will I only experience the resistance when the battery is super low and when the battery dies completely it's back to normal pedalling?
I have bought ADO A20+. I used 50km and less than 5km on battery. I can say it's a very good bike without the power. I had to use power for a long uphill.
Did you not drive to and over the Tempelhofer Feld, the airstrip in the middle of the city? :(( could have gotten some amazing shots there
Good looking bike. Sounds great to ride. I like the alarm feature, though if you remove the battery, am I right in thinking the alarm will not function?
I am on the look out for an track and bridle way bike. I have seen a video of an EMTB gearbox (12 speed) and motor unit. If you could do a review of that? That would be great.
Looks good! More the merrier!
Great bicycle review. I would go for gears. just like you said options. Love the concept of how they did the battery. Is it available in the US. Love the channel
Thanks for the kind words. It's not available in the US and I don't think there are any plans for it to be available there soon.
That said... Electroheads is launching a US shop soon with some great e-bikes. So watch this space dear viewer.
*Overweight people should love that option for manual peddling. Once you run out of physical energy, then you switch it to electrical assistance to get back home.*
Skinny people can still be unhealthy.
i am pleased that somebody listened to one huge issue the resistance.. why aint after all these years was this subject never tackled
The removable integrated power-pack is cool. Would prefer front wheel drive , or mid motor combined with internal gear hub (Shimano) over a crappy derailleur tho. Would add weight but still.........Anyway, Cheers guys, nice vid 👍
Really beautiful bike frame, better looking than the van moof thingy
It's a beauty!
Nice save at the end Eilis, could have been an oh $#:! moment. Looks like a nice design. Pricing and availability in blighty and the states?
I get what you mean by the battery pack being smaller than a laptop, but aren't there also many other e-bikes with a removable battery that would fit into a backpack?
Size of a laptop? I didn't see that.
I hope they consider placing the battery in the lower middle for improved weight distribution and design aesthetics.
Woohoo I feel represented
I'm confused about the colors. Is it white and blue or beige and grey?
Well done guys, great production values, and scene setup in an wonderful city environment
Does anyone know what model the north face bag is ?
⚡ *A smart bike that is actually smart* 👌🏼⚡
Right!!
Does the battery lock somehow to the frame? Whats preventing it from being stolen?
Yes, 2 possibilities. Button on the handlebar or via tha App.
I’d love to see you test the new Lemmo One 2.0 against the Tenways CGO009 and Cowboy Cruiser or Classic.
Can the battery be charged via the USB port from a car ?
She really knows to sell bikes :D
Ten years ago a 'red dot award' was really something special. If you want a red dot award today, you can apply for it. Applying costs a lot, so not many quality brands even bother, only new brands; simply as a marketing tool. Great features though: battery pack that comes off the bike, rear wheel motor and a clean design. What's the point of the controller attached to the battery? Just put it in the frame. The price is so-so for this Chinese built bike. All the components are specific for this bike, so if it breaks .... good luck! Is the battery tested (ECE-approval) or can they explode while charging? The energy of 540Wh = about four hand-grenades!
Very nice. Only suprirsed they don't have an optional extender pack that snugs in behind the main pack. Interesting videography.
Word on the grapevine is that's going to be one of their next additions
Very cool, any word on when/if they'll be available in the UK? Their website only says Germany, France and the Netherlands.
They’re working towards it but sadly not just yet! Keep your eyes peeled 👀
Swell! Tempted with cgo600pro but this would give me gears! 🥳
I'd really like to try a belt drive.
Hmm yeah I guess it might help me get home to be able to remove the resistance from the motor, nice idea.
However the step-through version? Yeah for me that would be a 'trip over' version 😂 still looks a bit high for me to get my leg over...ooh matron! I tried to phrase that better, honest😅😂
Nice looking bike and I really do like the fact that you can repurpose the battery during and after it's use on the bicycle is diminished.
Go on then, i dont think you told us the price just that the guys had tried to make it affordable...? 👍
I wonder when they will ship to Sweden
Holy sheit i love the design.
But why do they not have rear suspension ...are your roads so plain _(actually they are compared to my country)_
You mean flat?
@@duhusker4383 yes Smooth, well done Tar , very nicely done speed breakers
No potholes, Craters or Fault line on the roads.
We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. czcams.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
shame theres no shipping to the UK yet
Fingers crossed they'll be here soon!
I really hope so cause it ticks all my boxes 😊
Very cool. But in Yorkshire it would be for 3 months of the year.
How do you know if somebody's from Yorkshire? They'll tell you!
:D @@Electroheads
They say range 100km ,thats with nobody on it downhill 😅
Miss electrohead is 💪
GPS in the removable battery pack is quite baffling when you can take it with you in a bag, and would be leaving the bike locked up
Defo belt drive and low step frame.
I like Eilis!
No good if you live in the UK, as they have no idea if or when they might step into the UK market, really think it would of been helpful for this to be mentioned in the vid
Always want to know how loud the motor is 😐 rarely if ever gets a mention 🤷♂️
Will keep that in mind for the next one!
They dont sell for UK :/
Can I unlock the speed of this thing? 25kmpu is not enough for me.
No, but the Moug Star does
The design of the battery looks like it could be made larger as an option.
There's definitely room for growth on that frame
Full-size bikes must be dual suspension bikes (imo)
This is great, but they only ship to DE, FR and NL....mew! :(
Not sure about resistance with rear hub motors when not using the powered system, I’ve had two completely different types consecutively (1000w and 350w) and there is no resistance whatsoever. Mid-drive, yes there is mechanical drag, but nothing perceivable at all on rear hub. Regarding terminology neither acoustic or analogue is appropriate for referencing conventional cycles, they are both ridiculous in equal measure.
Old school bikes should be referred to as push bikes.👍
Lighten up, Daz!
Step thru? lets see you step through that frame. Carbon forks er no! Excellent video clip of you bouncing over the road imperfections on that hardtail design. Fortunately full suspension ebikes exist with true long distance capabilities. A whole new class of bikes with SUV designation can be found from many of the ZEG brands.
Very cool!
how is that bike the size of a laptop?
Lies… all lies.. must be a 70s lap top
Hahah 😂 Did someone not watch through the vid??
@@Electroheadsme, too, I fast forwarded and missed your explanation, so I'm reading through the comments to see an explanation. So far I haven't found the answer.
@@ElectroheadsI did. You still can't fit the wheels in a back pack
Has anyone yet made an electric tricycle for people with balance issues?
I’ve seen some electric tricycles at the park here in Germany
@@sapachino thank you.
I like the design but why it's 18 kilograms though...
Because the battery and electronics weigh 5kg?
huge resistance means that this object is useless when the battery is drained
Are you suggesting we delete all our old videos? 😂
@@Electroheads no just making a point as I bought a Windgoo B20 Pro it's as dead as a door nail and since taking it out of the box the nightmare has never worked..
Thumbs down for the click bait.
Our thoughts are with you after this traumatic and difficult experience x
@@Electroheads I'm resting nicely. Thanks!
only 250W and 25km/h slow is lame, the concept with the detachable motor clutch is genius though
Unfortunately, for eu those are the maximum parameters
@@sapachino no, you can drive faster more powerful E-bikes but they must be registered, drive on the road and carry a number plate.
@@janesa5097 and have a drivers license
The clickbait 🤦♂️
Eilis is clickbait
This is just a advertisment
This is all well and good, but you can’t get them in the UK so even if you bought one in Germany, (you’d need an address there) it wouldn’t have warranty cover here. You’d have to take it back to Germany.🤷♂️
It's almost as if there are countries other than UK, where people live, and watch CZcams videos!
@@Electroheads Yea I know its amazing, but even if you were actually German I still couldn't buy one.
Why is it so slow
For me Tezues c8 more better than this and more lightweight and better price.
lemmo got the beautiful design in certain frames.
Lock hub for me is good.unfortunely lemmo doesnt have screen navigator.if have i will choose lemmo.
Self-charging hybrid school of PR
Shes stunning that I dont see any bike
Best ebikes are for people 5’2” and taller. Why? Many women are 5’.
Everything* except the motor
i am pleased at last the e bike industry have finally come to their senses Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and taken the resistance off their bikes.. or it will end up in Landfill the Idiots
Berlin - the best place for cycling? Great joke! It's one of the most bike-unfriendly cities at all.
Why is the rack lower than the mud cover? It also doesn't have a front suspension.
Tell us you haven't been to Berlin without telling us you haven't been to Berlin!
@Electroheads I was, and it also based on other people's mentions, especially cyclists.
The bike seems interesting all by itself. You only hurt it and your own reputation with clickbait titles.
sorry dad
Another benefit of brexit 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
They don’t ship to UK 👍🏼🖕🏼
Kann die auch deutsch, billige Werbung 😊
Booooooooo, clickbait title!!
I mean, if you really believed the whole bicycle would be the size of a laptop, then this one's on you.
@@Electroheads Booooooooo, blaming the audience for believing your video title, instead of taking responsibility for accurately titled videos!! Double boo earns a timeout in the naughty corner you two!! Don't disappoint us again with such fiendish actions
Dishonest clickbait. Don't like that.
Hope u survive this difficult time
Anything with a battery is not 'green'. Get with it & buy a cheap second hand bike preferably made in the country in which you live then pester your local councils & government to provide more cycle lanes, shelter & security for cyclists. Of course they've got no intentions of doing that, they just want to stitch up the motorist..
Electric Brompton beats this
Cute but too much ego@
Sorry to hear you're intimidated by confident women, sweetie!
Unnecessary clickbait title.
Crap bike no suspension and made of aluminium!??? I’ll skip
You can't get more clickbaity than this, people.
Oh wow...bratwurst
Did I miss something?....like the price????
1090 for the bike and 900 for a smartpac if you want it
