Thanks for the vid, Jason. And LOL about the Robot Wars comments. Note to the clueless - Robot Wars was an American invention and started in America in 1994. The robot builders never got into "UK versus USA". We just liked to have fun and see cool stuff (get destroyed).

That's the beauty of a 2-wheel robot design with weapon mounts on both sides: there is no front or back! :)
Against The Crusher, the Missing Link's batteries depleted prematurely, as a result of having to fight tremendous gyroscopic forces every time The Missing Link turned. Against Endotherm, the battery cable fell off of the battery--I learned my lesson then to always tape down connectors for extra security!

I believe the gas engine stalled. It was finicky & required a manual pull on the cord to start, so I couldn't restart it remotely.

stupid thing is just and edge trimmer with a buzzsaw on it. Saws dont work you need something with one or two heavy duty teeth so it catches, stops the blade pretty much and rips whatever you hit.

Missing Link's batteries depleted due to having to chase The Crusher around while spinning a large saw blade at speeds the blade was probably not designed reach.
Running a gas engine doesn't do much to batteries though?
@@bami2 It doesn't, but fighting gyroscopic forces and driving around a bunch does. And batteries at the time sucked.

These are lightweight-class robots. Razor looks like it would be a middleweight or even a heavyweight bot. Razor is a well-designed bot but it probably can't compete with the best of the middleweights and would get crushed by most heavyweights.

This one had a Huge Gas Powered Saw, and it was Beaten by a 9 yo. Kid,
with a Wedge Bot... lol That kid would be 29 now, and should have stayed
in the sport.

But you guys don't have heavyweight spinners that can win a battle without having to OOTA the opponent. In fact, didn't you guys ban heavyweight spinners partially because your flipper-wedges couldn't touch them? I understand the safety concerns, but that could easily be solved by building safer arenas.
Unfare, an armored remote controlled car without weapons is not a combat robot.
I think Venom, the son of Razor would have given them a great battle.
