- I had a very productive day - video making wise. Fishing wise? A bit different story. I found 50 degree water which was surprisingly high, but couldn't seem to convince fish anywhere on the lake to touch any lure I threw. So it goes in the winter on limited time. It's been a good year of bass fishing, and 2019 is going to be even better, inevitably. Thanks for coming along for the ride in 2018!

We all have tough days fishing if it was easy they'd call it catching lol that's what I always heard any way , it a beautiful place and any time spent fish is a good trip
Man at least your lakes aren’t iced over!
It is real slow here in Arkansas!!
did i see some fishing the odds aspirations in this video haha? in my opinion for winter fishing you focus your efforts on the deepest parts of the lake dragging something slowly along the bottom with suttle twitches. no cast and retrieve like a tube or a senko
Haha I half expected you to call me out. Nah just trying to do most with footage I have. As you know this lake is a big shallow bowl with cover on the outside, so I focused on areas holding heat. The vegetation was still so thick that most bottom baits would get bound up with weeds immediately, including by the woody area.
Like I said above tho, it looked like I threw moving baits a lot more than I actually did, since it's just the casts I chose the most. Some of the vids were just sun in the camera and such, and it's not nearly as fun watching me pitch jigs and tubes and shakyheads and dropshots.
I love that lake;)
Tough days are a part of it, I haven’t been able to catch anything lately either
Not unusual to ride the winter struggle bus, still always hope to have success though!
Grind, grind, grind....that's all we can do!!!...do you use a wireless mic?
As I watch this... I'm sitting in Cabin 7 at precious metals, looking at a near dead-calm water surface and the boat is at the house because accurate-weather said the forecast here was calling for 23 mph winds today and I didn't want to fight the wind and the cold. I bet if you could have found some rocky bottom there you could have found some fish... that would be my guess as to where they would be on a day like that.
Fished all the more rocky areas I know of in this lake (limited), didn't get bites on anything, slow or moving. There's one section with lower weeds and some rocky bottom, just saw no action there either. It looked like I threw moving baits a lot more than I actually did, simply cause that was the footage I chose for casting vids cause they were more aggressive casts lol
A beautiful day on the water, nonetheless. I saw you on a subs channel and stopping by to show my support. No sturgeons on my channel, but hope you have the chance to check it out.
Sorry, dude, was just watching a video on sturgeon before I popped over and they were sitll on my mind......
