Gotta give credit where credit is due, Bleh handled it like a fucking champ
Agreed, who doesn’t like Bleh. Felt the great line from Eninem when i watched my twitterfeed day after the incident; Got to wake up labourday to this!?
he did, i liked hedje as an analyst on impact till i missed that incident and hte more i watch it the more i think she needed a slap, but also production needed to take more of a hands on approach with talent
Professional vs 36 yo tantrum thrower
@@NHJ_pLeppen well to be honest, i had no idea who bleh was before this video, just like most people dont watch the wnba..
@@aim120CCasual fan
Bleh's calm "I'm not gonna go anywhere" was as professional as it was hilarious. Handled it like a pro.
The blatant double standards on display in this situation are disgusting.
As if Reddit is a monolith! Richard is ranting like Reddit is one person. 😅One schizophrenic, bipolar lunatic making all the posts! 😂
yea imagine if a guy did that to a lady... omg
I think he was referring to her shitting on males and having a meltdown when Bleh said something bad against women team who did awfully bad @@weberswonderland
Kind of all of them. This situation is just double standards stacked on top of each other.
@@CountCocofang no its not? bleh literally said what was supposed to be said. If a team thats meant to win goes down by 13-2 scoreline, obviously in his words it DID NOT SHOW UP AT ALL.
She 100% should be suspended for a few weeks until she gets her shit together. If Thorin or any of the guys had pulled this on her, they'd have been fired before the rant was finished. The least she deserves is a few weeks suspension. Bleh handled the situation like an absolute pro.
Nah, get her on again. It was hilarious, so much passion 🤣
anybody got a link to Moses calling Richard a fat bastard? Can't find it anywhere but it sounds hilarious
Need this too, Please @ me if it's found
This lol
you won't find it
only valid reply would have been "didnt think I'd get up this morning and be called a fat bastard by the bald eagle"
I genuinely couldn't believe this when I saw the clip. It was outrageous and she should not be seen on a broadcast for a while until she improves her attitude. I agree it's not an unforgivable error.
Bleh actually gives ESL Impact some legitimacy by being on the broadcast. You could argue that it's beneath someone who has worked majors to work on Impact but the fact he's happy to do it speaks volumes for his professionalism and desire to work.
not only is him working there more legitimacy, but actually analyzing the performances and criticizing teams that don't live up to expectations is how any analyst is supposed to talk about a legitimate serious competition. I've noticed some people they hire in different women's leagues seem to just wanna celebrate the fact that it's a women's league instead of really treating it like a serious competitive scene, which is counterproductive in the end.
Attitude and English pronunciation. Girl is hard to listen to jesus
@@darrenfleming7901Yesss exactly as a women I would really enjoy the women's league more if it took itself a little more seriously and critically analysed the scene more
@@maxinew5817A "serious" version of the woman's league is just the main league. Women can play and succeed in it, and they will be taken seriously. If they don't want or can't compete on the main stage, then you can only expect unprofessionalism.
They should stop with these weak mentality plants/emotional wrecks aka DEI hires and hire objective people who can do the job without taking personal offense of a team they're not even part of. Bleh did great and handled it perfectly. Worst thing is how she didn't even owned up to it.
Meanwhile bleh handled it like a pro
"not everything is trial by Twitter"
Said Frankie Ward, the most prolific twitter juror in all of esports.
Is she? I didn’t realize, I liked her on stream.
I did too liked her on stream, what the hell happened? is there a video or thread about this? ty
If you ask Thorin about Frankie, he has a video about all her twitter shenanigans. She's called him out and made a stand about NEOM when the LEC and BLAST tried to partner with them. Now she works for ESL. So a lot of people have an issue with her for that reason @@Deffinnition
@@foaly8 well she once said she could never work for people who literally kill her friends and now works for exactly the people she was talking about at that time. Make of that what you want.
One of the people Thoorin tried to cancel.
Seems to be all about gender. Being a female league, maybe she was a bit too high on 'girl power'. She immediately said, "Can you leave the studio?" and ended on, "You don't deserve to be here."
It isn't what was said that upset her, it was who was saying it. In her mind, he had no right to make judgements or even be on the desk.
If it had been a female analyst making that critique, there's no drama.
Yeah it really feels like she was not angry at the comment but the fact that it came from a man.
Ironic considering they have no issue doing the same in men's matches.
Yeah, im fed up of this double standard bs these days.
lronic considering as a Norwegian women, she is born with infinitely more privileges than Indian men
Like having an atrocious accent and not doing anything about it, imagine if bleh showed up with an Indian accent as strong as hers, he wouldn't even be allowed to cast tier 5
The first time I saw this clip I felt my lifespan being shortened as the cringe flowed through my veins. I'm sorry Richard, but a second watch might be the end of me.
God damn, when Richard Lewis said she was 37 that was the nail in the coffin for me.
I get it happening when your like a young person trying to get into esports as a unappreciated role. But like man, she aint a kid. Thats soo rude to do to your coworker, someone that is in the exact same position.
My god Bleh is a true professional. How did he not rise to that lol
I get that shame is obviously dead in this day and age, but how in the fuck did immature grownup children invade and take root in EVERY side of everything that has something to do with the production of entertainment (gaming, cinema, etc)?
*sips coffee* heh
desire to be the center of attention motivates them to go into careers where they are the center of attention.
Fatherlessness. Creates both a desperate subconscious need for attention and the displacement of one’s own guilt and feelings of inadequacy onto perceived patriarchal authority figures.
frankie being frankie again. she just has to insert herself into drama she has nothing to do with
What I've gathered thats pretty common among women...
She's still yet to apologize or say anything about it. I wonder if in her mind it was still justified and she thinks there was no mistake on her part? Sometimes even if you think you were right, it's best to apologize so that you're not living with a loose end. If that is too much for her ego to handle, she's basically ruined her career as a result. Although I will say, who knows if she did apologize already behind the scenes or make amends with Bleh.
Women and apologizing nowadays? Yeah, sure.
Mate thank you so much for these videos, as someone that is learning about hosting in the Australian Sport scene these videos are amazing to learn from. Just in the ins and outs of what can go wrong when you are live are pressures others will never know about.
Bleh handled it like a pro! Glad Richard chose to comment on this situation. This video will most likely be under appreciated, but this type of content matters.
Saying this live and white knighting to the point of unprofessional idiocy. How did she get the job?
diversity quota
Someone wanted to pipe her
She’s a woman.
@@ectas741 Preeeetty sure it is the exact opposite...
@@ectas741wdym it’s a women’s broadcast it’s meant to elevate the best women’s talent. And anyway a lot of the stronger women’s talent in Val would get the side eye from riot from participating
I always knew there was alot of behind the scenes stuff that goes on but actually having you outlineing some of the stuff in detail makes me appreciate alot of the stuff you guys do. I'd love to heart more.
reddit threads don't show consensus, because users decide which posts to click and interact with. users who are interested in a topic are overrepresented in threads about it. when a post supports a certain view, people who share that view will be overrepresented in the comments. people who disagree will more often ignore it. this is how you get polar opposite circlejerks within the same subreddit.
Huh, yeah that does make sense. Never really thought about the selective engagement in a subreddit
Another case of "main character syndrome" imo.
If you can't handle your emotions, this kind of job is not for you. You should do something else.
And tbh she shouldn't be there anyways. Why is she hosting a English speaking event when clearly she has difficulty speaking English? I don't understand why some games do that. I say this as a non native English speaker and people like her just makes it harder to understand.
Yeah I hate this think so many so where it just gets to the point that one must treat all women like retarded children as I guess they have zero agency in what's happening
bleh is da goat, didnt react to hedje at all even on socials after it happened!
big respect to bleh, incredible reaction to just keep going on the show
Never miss an RL vid
Couldn't imagine
To this day
Ive watched Impact segments before this and there often was this kind of tension towards Bleh from Hedje and others like 'watch your step this is our league' kind of vibes. It doesnt surprise me it ended up exploding in this way. If the women scene wants to grow they need to be able to deal with objective critisism. Right now the mods in the Impact chat ban anything slightly offensive/controversial/not fully positive instantly basicly killing any hype in the chat during matches.
The entire product is treated with kiddie gloves and generates no hype. The music they use sounds like someone googled a playlist called 'empowering women music'. When I tune in to the Impact league I want to get hyped for the matches and be entertained, but it feels more like a lecture and marketing exercise than a real league.
Moderating twitch chat is whatever because twitch chat enjoyers are idiots (myself included). But Bleh is a professional and a great analyst. Telling someone literally hired to critique performance to stop doing his job is just baffling. Not sure what Hedje wants, after every match, everyone at the desk should just say: "GG WP NTNT"? Not sure if Hedje has ever seen another eSports or even traditional sporting event, if you have a shit game, you're going to get criticised, that's literally his job.
Feel like Hedje's outburst is a bad look for women's esports, rather than objectively applying analysis that is done at *every single men's CS lan with an analyst desk* she's now gone viral and added fuel to the fire that women's esports should be infantilized. She is a terrible caster and now a terrible analyst. There are plenty of capable and talented women that deserve that spot over her.
Hell they should just hire Sjokz at this point to show them how to actually cast...that woman is the goat.@@Crossovahh
what the fuck, how can you have such a melt down without any real reason. Not like he called them a useless dumpster fire that should quit playing. I wouldnt have known how to react, prolly would have asked if she is feeling allright or is having a mental episode.
On the blob most likely
He should be allowed to call them a dumpster fire, etc...
when I saw that clip for the first time I assumed bleh said something back, maybe something stupid.
At the VERY least I thought he's gonna give away facial expressions on how cringe the situation was.
To my surprise bleh was a model professional.
If a male host did this he would never get another gig again.
And people wonder why I'm leaving Norway this year.
And the ultra thick norwegian accent makes the meltdown so much worse 🫣
This is great perspective and background for the usual esports drama-of-the-day cycle that we get into. Thanks Richard.
It actually took me 15 minutes to just watch the clip because I couldn’t stop cringing. Jesus
the accent makes it so much better😂😂😂
11:29 thats kinda bs imo. professionalism is, not bringing your problems into your work and not letting external factors influence your job otherwise everyone can do their job while they are high on life with no negativity going on in their mind
I don't even watch esports anymore but always find myself coming back for your videos, simply the best, keep it up man.
Shoutout Bleh for handling it like a professional.
My man Bleh doesn't give any fucks what an alpha
was waiting for this video, what a crazy thing to happen live
I'm in physical pain, that clip is incredible
a lot of really valuable insight and opinion on this matter, appreciate the vid. I like to hear head on takes on stuff like that, can pull some info and inspiration on how to deal with similar situations in the future. thx
Just a reminder that the 16-0 match from 2019 on youtube is titled "de_nuke Any% 0:28:57 ESL Pro League Record - Mousesports vs. EG"
I'd argue they got roasted multiple times harder and nobody was triggered.
You know you've fucked up when Richard Lewis calls you unprofessional
Why's that?
I hooked him lads, someone get the net @@RLewisReports
Ah the old "I was baiting you." Never seen that before. Surely you are capable of answering the question.
@@RLewisReportsah the old ask someone a question then ban them from commenting 😂 You've proven yourself yet again as the most pathetic eSports commentator. Thanks for showing thousands of people over the years what being a insecure sourpuss does to your character👍
@@RLewisReports Lmao short term memory must be bliss you chronic twitter using sperg.
Bleh is a legend for keeping composed and also not talking about it at all on twitter.
Oh man, been waiting for you to talk about this. Laughed uncontrollably when I saw this happen originally.
What would have happened to a male analyst if he had responded in this manner to a female colleague?
Frankie might have all the information of Hedje's mental in this instance and in-depth consideration for her situation but really her of all people can't just come in from left field giving her a pass as the grand jury of esports twitter herself. "We can sweep this one under the rug aaaand delete all the vods, because we all have bad days sometimes". Filthy behavior.
Lol to heck with suspension, how on earth she isn’t already fired is beyond me
Damn i was watching Impact and i thought this was just a bad bit where she couldnt convey sarcasm and it went too far. Shit to see she was serious. Hopefully she and the production learns from this about recognizing when someone is close to snapping.
Just tells him to leave out of nowhere = wild
Also hard to believe they have someone with such a thick accent on the mic.
That grown ass woman put herself in that position, end of.
no hobby men do for fun has ever gotten better by forcing women into it
name one thing, you cant
Rapists would disagree
I love how she basically agrees with the analyst but she's still mad.
The heavy nordic accent when people speak english is so cringe i die inside and im saying this as a swede
The way she said "You're just shitting on them" was so funny lol
She ain't svede doe
@@ectas741NORway is a NORdic country, tho

I'm sensitive to cringe and I just can't handle watching that clip
Bleh should get so much respect for this. He is a great analyst and person
holy shit i'm an idiot, match up the tshirt to find the stream. thanks rich
Lol she was 36
Why is Frankie the way she is lmao
She gives narcissist vibes
So damn embarrassing!
She has been a part of gaming and esports for many years, and knows VERY well how analysts talk about performances.
And celebrating performance that didn't progress them in the competition. It's about a teams performance, and nothing personal towards the players.
She is an absolute hypocrite. And has been for a long time.
Almost didn't watch this out of fear for the cringe, but it was well worth it with minimal cringe
When i saw that clip, I was hoping for a RLS commentary on the matter
Give me a break, these are the sorts of people that say 'treat women like you would anyone else' while also wanting special treatment for women who play Esports. Everything he said is said about every mens team that underperforms too. If you are someone who wants more women in Esports, then dont be upset when they get treated just like everyone else.
Dear God, that was unprofessional as hell. Without an apology, she's gonna find some barricades in the furthering of her career for sure.
First comment on your videos. Sorry to hear about your friend and the comments you had the day after. I've seen your stuff since 2014 or so, keep it up man. Us old dogs need to keep going no matter what :)
FINALLY I see your opinion on that !
Oooo this was very hard to watch she has her finger in his face and everything. The meltdown reeks of inferiority and trying to over compensate by saying TO THE PROFESSIONAL “you don’t deserve to be here”. Really not understanding that he is doing YOUR event a favour by being there. Nobody watches sport shows and desks to hear them say “awww well they tried their best”.
"Hedje" go focus your master’s degree in systems engineering instead. Advice From a fellow Norwegian.
I dont care how much she knows about the game or how qualified she is to analyze games, this was super hard to watch
The thorin thing is 8 weeks off of being a decade old. he should have ripped off some fans money to make a documentary he would have served less time in twitter jail
gotta look at it realistically. the fact its a broadcast dosnt matter and whats going on behind the scenes dosnt matter. i dont, and no one should, give 2 fuckes about the situation. no one deserves to go to their job and get spoken to like that. simple as.
"feisty one you are"
Everything is trial by twitter. Sad to say. They made the rules and do not want it to apply to themselves?
Curious, I tried digging for an update on this. Did anything happen with her afterward? Has she done anything since?
I know they're not but I am just laughing to myself imagining all the extra things that certain cast need that were brought up was just Thorin after the energy drink.
What happened to: Ok, I made a mistake/I fucked up - I own it, I'm sorry.
My life, that Moses clip must be uncovered. Old dogshit still has me doubled over every time I rewatch it. 😂
Recently saw a video about a Valorant match between Fnatic and a Tier 2 Japanese team and Fnatic was heavily criticized because they BARELY WON against said team and then C9 who was way lower in standing stomped said team basically. Who want's to bet she wouldn't have made a fuss if she was part of that discussion and yet she got pissed about this team that actually LOST despite being higher in standings than their opponents. Casters can be biased towards a team thats true but it should never get to the point that you would be outright aggressive towards another member on camera for criticizing the team you like, thats what happens in discord calls not what happens on an esports broadcast. She needs to get her shit together or get a different job if she can't manage to control herself and be amicable or at the very least more respectful in your interaction with your colleagues.
Damn, what a way to handle that by Bleh
That is insane that the dude actually deleted the article. unbelievable.
no link for this whole thing, in the description :O
Thank you V-Sauce
Hedje can't just apologize behind the scenes... her outburst was on stream. The community deserves a public apology from her before she can be shown on any broadcast again.
Bring back sam cam
3:36 ""Stop confusing me with Semmler ffs"
People have always got Shit going on in their Life, thats not an Excuse to be an unprofessional Twit.
This was mental
Yeah at the start I thought it was a bit too but as it went on and saw his reaction I knew it wasn't scripted, so awful
You strike me as the sort that laughs at their own jokes a lot.
First clip is prime Women in 2023-2024....Feelings hurt i rage
BANKS
Missed this stream and somehow didnt see the Bleh incident anywhere. The cringe hurts. I have more respect for Bleh now.
Maybe the women's only leagues could actually have an unintended effect of harm by saying that these women in games are an exception instead of the status quo .
As if Moses saying he’s going to get in his wheelchair was beaten for a ridiculous thing to say
Unrelated but I almost thought this thumbnail was a Freeman's Mind episode cuz it has almost the exact same layout
Crazy, couldn't be that kind...
i was wating for someone to talk about this. i was shook when i saw this. as a norwegian we dont claim her. its like she thinks its a kindergarden competition were everyone has to win.
also watching the casting i think her english is not good enugh to cast if you have to mutch of a dialect you actualy turn away audience
Maybe irrelevant but the reason there are women's leagues are not because some men are weird(some are ofc) but because there would be no female pro without.
Some men being weird is not what's stopping women from being as good as the best men.
Yeah I thought it was weird he compared women pros not being good enough to compete with men in CS as women needing their own spaces from freaks irl,
The women's competitive scene draws from a pool of players just a fraction of the size of the men's scene, so of course there will be less top tier performers, it's a statistics thing. One day when the women's player pool is larger I believe there will be women players who can hold their own in the main league
@@maxinew5817 People have said that for 20 years and there is a lot of women playing now and not a single one has ever been or is even close to t4(!) and men do have better reaction time and deferent
muscle structures that could also play a role.
Maybe there will be one or two women that can be a decent support on a t2 team in like 5-10 years.
@@ewweg I don't know why people try to pretend there isn't an advantage for men even in computer games. Like, the pool of players that are transgender is microscopic compared to the female player base, yet in the valorant women's scene, the two best players in the world this past year were teenage trans girls, lol. 2 people born men who are now women just dominated the pro scene, and people want to pretend it's just cuz there aren't enough girls playing or that boys are just big meanies and won't team with them. It's embarrassing.
@@ewweg there was 1 woman who played in t4 and she was actually against female only tournaments. the reason there are no good female competitors is because they all go for the easy money and choose to compete in women's only tournaments instead of taking their chances in mixed teams and facing real competition.
i work in the service industry and u cant have a bad day, because it impacts the establishement u work for, this is completely unacceptable, considering that those are her true feelings on the matter, this is not someone who should be broadcasting
Esports fans and cs redditors seem to go exclusively by who they like more. Someone said valid criticism to the player they like the most? The criticism is invalid and whpeve said it must be punished! An analyst we like got criticism for saying something about a team we don't care that much about? He should be able to say that, it's his job! It's hypocritical behavior based around who they like
Strange take. Not sure how you see this and think he shouldn't be defended
@@jamieeddolls5605 you misunderstand my point. I was pointing out how people think, explaining how people can react differently to the same situation depending on who's on which side. If some unknown analyst said something bad about jks, they'd get hated for it, whether it'd be valid or not. If a well known analyst says something bad about a relatively unknown player, people don't get mad, whether the criticism is warranted or not. It's not about it being warranted or backed up, it's just a popularity contest
