The thing about Man utds period of dominance is the years they didnt win it they were razor close... In 2012 they lost it on goal difference with one aguero kick in the last minute... Through the 90s they lost it by one point multiple times.... All the other times they won it... Fergie kept that team at 80/90% consistantly... But I would agree Pep has taken the team to 95%...but they have to keep it going... It always feels like a team wont be stopped... But things can change very quickly... This is recency bias that the prem was not as competive now. In the late 00s the UCL semis later stages were full of United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal on repeated seasons. The prem went through a lull between 2014-2018 then the last few years have been pretty much a 2 horse race between Liverpool and City. I'm not even sure the last years have been that competitive in the prem. Liv won it easily in 20 and City won it easily last year - as well with no away fans made it even easier for them.
You can say that some of the mid table teams have improved over the last 5 years perhaps. But Norwich, Newcastle etc of this season are no better than the relegation fodder of 10-15 years ago. Teams like Middlesborough and Fulham were going far in Europa league back then also.

If you consider the fact that Pep started coaching in 2008 thats quite a lot of catching up versus the 26 years Fergie spent at Man U. Man even in overall trophies they are quite the same. Pep’s been managing top level since about 2008 and in that time has dominated every league he’s been in and won 2 champions leagues. That’s basically what Fergie did in 26 years at United. Once Pep has had 26 years in management, he’ll smash Fergie’s records. I love Fergie but Pep could go down as the GOAT

Pep is a better tactician than SAF, but not a better manager.

As a gooner I do like Rory one of the best content creators about, he’s level headed and can form opinions without bias unlike most you tubers/fans.

Great talk. I honestly feel though Man U did it with the class of 92' and a few big names along the way. Cantona, Van De and a few others. I would say most of the talent was young homegrown talent. Where as Pep just spends and spends and spends. It's a different method. I think raising a team to win is a much greater achievement then getting 1 billion to spend in 7 years. I know people say but man u has spent just as much. True, but also for a much longer time. City caught up in spending in under a decade. Now, pep picked the right players, that's for sure. It's a tough one.

Ferguson makes a better signing than Pep… we never sees Pep mistakes cuz the clubs always respect him….spend a lot on fullback, goalie and CB before getting the right one

I respect Ferguson when he lost the trophy to Chelsea and won it by just buying Michael Carrick…when he loses CR7 and replace him with Valencia and still winning the league and going into UCL finals
