I can't believe that i am actually disliking a LTT video. These so called reviews are getting so slim that they should rather be called previews. How about thermal performance? Noise? Overclocking? What about powerlimits and gpu boost behavior?

The review was never going to be up for launch, personally I would prefer it if the review came out later and was more in depth than being rushed out as soon as possible.

Its a two part system. NVIDIA can put whatever price they want but doesn't mean we have to buy it. They know their audience and know how to cater to them. Look at some forum posts of people concerned with their pricing right now and people are saying stuff like they would willingly pay near 1800USD for a top end card from NVIDIA it is no wonder why they can get away with this. The whales will pay anything for top end.
look at what you're getting for it though the 1080 launched cheaper than the two top cards of last gen and performs convincingly better than them and why should nvidia be blamed for a lack of competition why not get on amd for not competing well enough?
The sweetspot for this card is 1080p. Don't call it a 4k card if it can't push 144 fps on Crysis 3 at max with 16x msaa. Anything less is unplayable, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar. Period.

Pigolus It certainly depends on what you want to do. Many friends of mine wanted to only do surgical devices with an undergraduate BME degree. I had a couple co-ops with such a company and while it was a great experience, it was very difficult to find a job with only an undergraduate degree in BME, even with incredible grades and experience. Unfortunately, many companies still dont feel that BME is a full engineering major that can do the same as an EE or ME. However, because I wanted to go to medical school, it wasn't as big of a deal to me and engineering actually made me a more attractive as a medical applicant. Looking back I would have done ME or EE or CSE just so it wasnt as hard for really not much benefit. But, all that being said, if you want to do it, I would. I certainly learned a lot and feel really prepared for medical school because of how hard i had to work.

that's how some model Processors and GPU's are made - the Consumer is sold what was a much higher model, but some small part was bad so they disable it and sell it to the Consumer for a discount.

lol graphics card cost more than my vehicle engine. wtf is up with these prices?
because this gpu is (almost) enterprise quality, just short of the up coming quadro. if you're a big company and you're running a gpu server farm, you would pay a f**k ton of cash for this (or the quadro) because of its reliability over the 1080 and upcoming 1080ti (if there is one). having a server breakdown because of a single card is the last thing any server engineer working for a big company want to deal with.

When theres a new chip process that decreases the nm of the chip you have to create basically new everything in order to make it which will cost a lot of money since pascal is an insane 10nm size chip

Unfortunately AMD doesn't have anything in that performance range, so no reason to lower the prices. Also Titans were always expensive, because they are not primarily gamer cards, more like semi-professional.

This cooler is no longer sufficient for these cards and it's at a 400mhz deficit compared to the 1080. Once people start putting these under water and clocking them up to 2000mhz and higher the Titan XP is going to be an easy 50%-70% faster than the 1080 clock for clock.

The Titan XP has an DVI-D Connector if you look at 2:09. The old Titan X was the one that had DVI-I.

What's your take on the async compute debate? Basically, is Pascal screwed and we should we all wait for Volta or Vega? Can we expect the RX 480 to dominate the 1070 further down the line (frame-per-dollar wise) after the huge gains on DOOM Vulkan+Async?

hello everyone i have a question. im new to pc building and im making a cinema 4d build. im using a render engine that supports cpu + gpu rendering. i was going to use 2 titan xp in sli for rendering and 1 more titan xp just for the display. can i do that? only run 2 in sli and the 3rd just for sisplay? Money is no issue.

Keep in mind that the Titan XP has thermal throttling issues, much like it's less endowed brother, the 1080. Also, that 2 1080 in SLI outperform a single Titan XP.
