Nowadays you have motherboard with 4 CPU. The problem is the software, no all programs can take the advantage of 4 CPU (For example a Zbrush).
Then, between performance/price in most cases is better have one single CPU than 4 CPU.

I think one mistake to this setup was using the Quadro graphics cards instead of the Titan cards. I think Quadro cards, while their specs look good on paper, they are not really optimized for gaming performance, but rather for high resolution and color accuracy for business applications like CAD design.

Until 4 years ago I had a GeForce 7025 which couldn’t run NFS Most wanted (2005) on max settings (about 10 FPS, 768p). Then got a pentium processor with integrated graphics and boy, it felt like a huge upgrade. I could run Assassin’s Creed at 720p!!!
