Could you ask Grant how would this compare to something like a Quadro card for neuralnet? I'm just curious how much of a gap their is and if the price of a Quadro would be worth it for the performance increases, if there are any.
Could you also ask him if you can play minecraft on it?
I would also like to know this. Perhaps with an emphasis on the Tesla P100, Quadro GP100 or Quadro P6000, which are the top professional cards out there.
do a 400 series to a 500 series bios flash video.
spoiler alert!!!! When u add a watercooler then your just power limited so doesnt gain too much idk wtf nvida was thinking putting a badass VRM on the card and then giving you a 300MAX watts BS
6:00 That dust is majestic
I'm gonna wait for Titan Vista
Na man Titan Vista is bound to be a massive fail, you goto wait for Titan 7
x1c3x No just wait for the Titan God gpu
Plebs, Im going Xbox Ubuntu.
Titan 8.1 is the best
i still miss the Titan 98se
Do I get Titan 10 for free if I have Titan 7 or 8?
Tryte only if you use accessibility features.
*=Titan Xp and Titan Vista users do not get to participate in the free upgrade.
No but u can get titan 13
😎
Curious, when people like Sam and Grant loan you these, do you send them back with the stock cooler or do you keep the hybrid mod on?
They get the mod, duh
$200 per percentage point? 80 years in the future, that will be a steal, so I'm ordering mine now for future proofing,
Lol this aged very well
☠
HD dust effects.
Du G 6:00
Ahem... You mean the ultra realistic particle effects?....
Yeah perfect editing :)
I thought it was snowing inside for a second.
Hey Steve, I just want to say I love how detailed all your reviews are! I bought the msi gaming x 1060 after viewing your review! Keep the good work!
really like these videos, especially love the ones where you mod things always interesting to see how far you can actually push something. keep it up
I know I and other really appreciate the in depth work you guys do it takes a lot more work to go to the level and probably doesn't pay as well as just pumping out quick videos but it's defiantly appreciated keep up the good work
I almost thought it was getting rained on for a second there.
Thanks for the great work,
it would be amazing if in future reviews you could also test / benchmark these gpus with production gpu accelerated software / renderers ( Redshift, Octane, Blender Cycles? )
well price doesn't fucking matter now does it
Its crazy that i just bought one of those yesterday on ebay for $200. fakn incredible
great video as always thanks GN
Steve thank you and your team for the in deep review of every device , I know this take a lot of work and we do really appreciate your passion for the gaming world.
I Apologize my cheese English, I am not a natural speaker.
You guys are on fire, lots of interesting videos lately.
What I take away from this review is that I shouldn't get a titan Xp
I should get two :)
RIP money 🙏💸💸
but Yeah for mining, will pay for them in about 4 months
DanielRichards644 no one gives a shit about mining anymore it's dead.
Solid review. Thanks. :)
nice video!
thanks, you bring it to the point
So Steve. Care to take another crank at this review after the mining and shortage price hikes? I'd like to hear your thoughts!
Hello question, when you installed your thermal sensors for CPU. How do you place your sensors. In between CPU and the cooling plate of the cooler ? With no thermal paste
Thanks for the insight
So I have to ask with 1080ti almost doubling in price would you recommend buying a Titan xp from ninvida ?
Good job asking your friend to articulate how he uses his card for neural nets. I subscribed to your channel soon after this. Respect
Is it normal for Titan Xp to have core clock jumps up and down even when the temp hasn't reached the 84c threshold?
Woo bring on the video, t hank you Steve for testing this beast!
I got a Jedi Order for $940 and put it on a water block, 2075MHz solid boost 44c max temp under load! Definitely faster than my 1080Ti which would only do 2000MHz
Intro/outro animations look nice and crisp.
Thanks a bunch for the tests. I recently bought a GTX ti Aorus Xtreme. In the OC stats in your results, are those results achieved using the "OC" mode in the Aorus Graphics Engine software? Or are those over clocks on top of using the "OC" mode? Thanks it will help me to gauge my system.
reachkevinwang Manual OC. Our Xtreme review has the exact numbers.
Good to have notifications.
I'm running a Titan X Pascal with 4- Predator g-sync 2K monitors monitors at 2650 by 1440. How many monitors were you guys driving with this demo? Try putting four on them and see what your results are
Due to the mining craze the Titan Xp is now CHEAPER then even a 1080 non-ti
2021 moment
@@ch1ll1add.25 lol watching this video bc someone has one for $450
I like to watch your videos at least once a day so I can relate to how lost my friends feel when I ramble on about basic computer hardware stuff...
Out of curiosity, what font do you use at 2:30?
Grant is the real MVP.
Johan Hägg thanks Johan but steve is the man!
No doubt. I'm just stoked to see this video, with a tease of the hybrid results tomorrow it's even better.
Totally with you!
way off topic odd ball question.. could I use a car heater core as a rad for my pc?.. IE 80's chevy G body heater core. i have one laying around and wanna do something with it.
When you overclock these GPUs, how do you know when you have reached an effective and safe overclock? Also does your mobo need to support GPU overclocking?
if it's not safe you would get crashes or pixel errors
Yo steven, what do you recommend now that a Titan Xp is cheaper than a 1080 ti?
is TTXp has the same gddr5x chip as 1080ti?? both "D9VRL" 11gbps native vram chip???
what if the 1080ti and titan xp are the same price now in jan 2018? worth it? even vega is more in price and even 1070ti are comming close to the same price as titan xp.
This was my dilemma last month when I was building my new rig. I went with the Titan XP because
1. "Slightly better" is still better.
2. 1080 ti's are now the same price as the Titans (as you stated) thanks to miners.
3. Most places are just plumb out of 1080's AND 1070's and I didn't want to wait around with my other components collecting dust waiting for someone to stock the one I wanted.
I'm glad I went with the Titan XP even after watching this video. Who knows when (or if) the 1080's are going to come down in price and it's nice to see people's eyebrows rise when I tell them I have a Titan XP.
Just my 2 cents. Good luck.
Dahllyn Allsup I ended up with a titan XP Galactic Empire. Most of what you said I pretty much thought the same way. Now I have a titan XP I can smile about and I love it.
Did exactly this. The prices between the two were so close it didn't strike me as a crappy buy. Though being forced to pay 1.2k to replace a dead card really sucks.
Thanks Grant!
Finally, benchmarks!
Waiting for VOLTA!
I would argue that even a 0.01% improvement in performance is considerable if it means your frame time is below 11 ms in VR.
I've had my VRAM usage, at 4k, above 11GB before. I've also had games recommend around 11GB of VRAM as well. Maybe you could include VRAM statistics moving forward? I think it would be good info to have. I think it could help people looking for a video card(s) figure out what card they want to go with.
Interesting how this is still a topic of debate 4 years later. I remember having the same concerns when I wanted to get a 3080
There are people out there buying two of these things for SLI so they can play CS:GO.
Meanwhile I can't even afford a 1060. lol
Sell your kidney.
do wot Erick says please
You have to have cards to do reviews of them in the first place. lol
But I do have a growing youtube channel. I doubt any GPU manufactures would send me a card for free, though.
get a job
The events of my life story would interest no one.
Just a tiny remark if you're reading this, you could add something like "lower is better" or "higher is better" to your charts. Most people know what's good in what area, but some people don't. Otherwise another nice video, keep the great stuff coming!
6 years old and this got in my recommendation list
u can cross fire two different gpus ?480 vs 580 ?
Well how about if the 1080 Ti, and the Titan Xp are the same price now, which one should i get?
Hey steve..... I was wondering how tech youtubers are coping up with youtube ad boycott? I see all tech youtubers have been including ads inside videos (not CZcams ads) so all of them would've been unaffected by boycott right? Or.... Are the pc tech youtubers affected too? :(
thank you Grant!
Gamers Nexus Can you clarify this please? Titan Xp, is there any benefit gained from the Xp over the 1080ti when editing 4k video?
Wow... this is a really great review.
5k testing would be a bigg diff i think, some games use more vram then others, and the extra 1gb would help
And I thought I knew a thing or 2 about GPUs... stellar job keep it up
FINALLY someone who describes the Titan Xp as a "not gaming card", really Steve you are the best reviewer around, the only one who doesn't do any marketing but trustworthy reviews, RESPECT MATE!
is there GTX Titan Xp third party from Asus or msi or zotac
he let you hybrid mod the card? its reversible right
He starts with the benchmarks at 9:40
Sad that you guys didn't add the zotac amp extreme 1080 ti in the benchmark I was interested in knowing the difference versus the others
We don't have one.
challenge take a shot every time he says GeForce gtx branding
So if price is no concern, since the 1080 ti and Titan Xp are roughly the same price used these days, for overclocking on gaming, is the Titan Xp better? Can you overclock a Titan Xp with more headroom over a 1080 ti?
He's showing that is indeed the case.
Best channel for the most unbiased GPU comparisons.. But why wasn't the ASUS 1080ti ROG strix included in comparison?
15:13 youtube caption says "patreon.com/scishow" lol
I love the hd dust pack for real life. Must be horrible for allergies though.
Would four water-cooled Titan Xp's be able to run games at 8K 60 fps at max settings?
Found this morning that I was no longer subscribed to the channel for some reason. I originally subscribed like last week.
thanks all I could think of was that copper like wire looked like a over sized ring worm
What about buying it today?
So my Ti SC is on par with the Xp?? Why? Wasn't the Titan Xp the best Evga can offer?
what about the 1080 ti ftw3 hybrid vs the titan xp
Do Sli 1080ti. I want to see how else Sli works nowadays.
I also want giant bars
Its great to hear that someone bought a Titan and uses it for the right thing , smart people are rare these days hats of to you sir
jump to 9 months later where the Titan Xp and the 1080 ti cost the same price, with the Xp actually being in stock where the 1080ti is sold out everywhere, what crazy times we live in
Russell Severson so why didn't Titan Xp go out of stock?
Kakashi Hatake because you had to buy directly from nvidia and they would only sell you 2 at a time
Russell Severson can you get a single one now?
Kakashi Hatake you could always get a single one, I should have clarified they would sell you at most 2 at a time
Russell Severson 9 months later 1080 ti s are in stock
Having the Asus Turbo GTX1080TI i was skeptical about playing heavy games at 4k/60.
Well i'm a believer now :D
Well certain settings are not really needed to me personally.I don't need AA and usually go with high settings.
Is it just me or do we want to see some in-field professional benchmarks?
i did buy the titan X end of november. the card blew up last weekend. And Nvida didn't want to take it back ... something about 30 days. so did buy a 1080ti today... so mutch wasted money :(
Midgards Fear :0 it blew up like a blown capacitor? hope you bought the 1080ti from an aftermarket seller as they have much better warranty's
i saw damage to the shunt resistor and a chip, both belonging to the 8 pin connector... so yeah, can say i will not shop directly from nvida agian. so this time i bougth it from a netshop here in my country so i have warranty. my first problem with a card so far... but why the most expensive :(:(:(
ur clearly lying. As the card does have 3 year warranty.
Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting the NVIDIA online store.
Please accept our apologies; the NVIDIA online store provides a period
of 30 days from purchase for the evaluation of most products and your
return request for order xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx falls outside that timeframe. Our
refund/return policy is outlined at:
was the awnser i got... they ship the card form irland to norway. american warranty law's does not apply.. bah
Midgards Fear sounds screwed up I can see refunds not being given past 30 days but no RMA support after that is stupid
Can it run ARK survival evolved at 4k max settings?
How am i supposed to compare the actual benchmarks when i dont know what each card was OC'd to. OC could literally mean 10 mghz.
Is it still better to buy a 1080 ti since prices have spiked to $1000+?
In order to overclock the Titan you need a dam watercooler unless you know how to apply and can find the correct heatsink probably not
Not at all, my Titan XP's overclock +200mhz without extra cooling. They're loud as hell under full load though.
Just call them TItan X Maxwell, Titan X Pascal and Titan Xp
i'd like to see this done again with the i7 8700k
Google made their own video card? GIMME!
Would this still be better than buying a gtx 1080 in 2021?
I just got a 1080 ti, it's great, but does any of this really matter considering that those who went with the Titan X for it's performance did it during a time when the 1080 ti wasn't even anywhere near release point? Obviously today it's a no brainer, save and go 1080 ti.
I heard that successor to the Titan Xp will be named Titan XP.
Titan Vista
2:40
Mind blown even though I didn't get much.
skip to 9:30 to skip power usage and thermals.
Nexus i purchased one of the titan Xp for 200 is this a good buy
His name is Steve, and yes, that's a solid card for 200 bucks.
Perfect title. that nails it.
The RX 580 is 40W from a Titan Xp.
Tripnotik25 amd failed epicly lol
they always do
lol the gtx 580 was a tank i can comfirm this I had 6 of those cards over time still holds up today
oh yeah don't get me wrong my gtx 580''s all ran around 92c when overclocked but they still dominated every game you threw at them.
Also I don't normally by low end cards' the 1070 is the lowest range i have purchased in a while for personal use.
Good comparison, you sealed my decision over a 1-2% margin. Right now the GPU market is fucking ridiculous because of Cryptopcurrency mining and sellers such as Newegg are taking advantage like some greedy scumbags, so the 1080ti is actually cheaper than a Titan Xp right now. With that said, I'm about to order a Titan Xp because it's cheaper.
What kind of world is this
compare the 1080ti strix vs the Auros extreme
I really want to get a 1080ti with my tax return...
Berenger Christy do it
*Sapphire RX 470 Platinum Stock, not Platnium
thares allready a ekwb full card cooling kit for titan x 2017
I'm happy to see that I'm not the only fucking human being on this earth who pronounces it like "Envidia."
why are u showing the old titan x ???? 3:53
