We have informed the company not to claim any amateur content, as any video featuring our logo is automatically flagged by CZcams. Claiming a video is straightforward if our trademark logo appears in the background, as CZcams provides us with a preview for claiming purposes. While we encourage amateurs to record and post, occasionally videos slip through the cracks. I have already spoken with Chris about this issue, and I apologize once again, Chris. I appreciate that you had my contact information to reach out. We strive to prevent such incidents in the future, although we may inadvertently miss something from time to time. We have numerous channels attempting to post our stream and grow their following, and we are grateful for your participation in our tournament. Additionally, we value your contribution to advancing the sport. Personally, I have been following your content for a year and find it to be exceptional.

I didn't know CZcams would catch a logo. I have my ways to mess with audio. I guess some video editing to blur a logo would work.

      Hello @PPAtour
Just curious… do you claim videos on channels that attempt to post highlights or best moments from various tournaments? Because I love watching those and I think it helps grow the sport and promote the PPA. Especially if the video is crediting you, the PPA, somewhere during the video/in the description. Overall, I think it would be a win-win situation for everybody. More eyeballs on the sport-more eyeballs on the PPA-more people attending PPA events-etc. Just curious what the PPA’s stance on this is. Thank you!

Great episode, Chris! Totally agree with your comments on tennis elbow. I started getting very minor discomfort a while back, and immediately focused on strengthening and stretching my right arm. Also use the FlexBar for eccentric strengthening, this massage thing that squeezes my arm, and a massage gun. I did wear the strap that Jill Braverman wears for a while, and that seemed to help, but have gotten lazy since I've been doing all that and not been putting it on and it's been fine.
As for ball machines, you mentioned the Erne and Spinshot, and I ended up getting the Erne (also had a Tudor I got 2nd hand), and LOVE it!!! The app and remote on it is the BIG difference that I find makes using the machine enjoyable. I was tired of having to run back and forth and waste balls trying to get the adjustments just right on my Tudor, that I ended up not using it much. But with my Erne, using the app to change shots, drills, and make tweaks to the settings is awesome--and then using the remote to start and stop the throwing is small enough to keep in my pocket. This makes the difference in wanting to use it. It is heavy, so transporting it can be a challenge, but I'm the coach at our wellness center so I have the luxury of keeping it in the storage area. Someone may need one of those small ramps to wheel it up into the car if they had to bring it from home.
Finally, great seeing you and meeting you in person in Kansas City!!! Thanks for chatting with me there.

Such a great content pod Chris. Ticked so many boxes. On the "peel ply" method, is heat and pressure used to get the "impression" into the face? The re-appliable grit idea is great. seems like someone can come up with this. Like the "delam" your paddle guy online did. The RONBUS logo is "flaccid"🤣

4.5 player... Used the Vatic Pro V7 for 7 months straight. Similar to the CRBN 1X I was totally seduced by the power. I was a drive/drop player with solid volleys (30 years of tennis). I decided to move up in play my kitchen game needed to go to another level. I purchased the 60 DBD. OMG, I felt like I could throw the ball any place in the kitchen... the control was that good. I stuck with the DBD for 45 days and decided it was too much of a wet noddle on blocks and punch shots. The sweet spot was small and off-center hits were limping over the net. I turned to the Vatic Pro Prism.. OMG... very close to the same touch as the DBD (15% less power than the V7) but it is still extremely solid on blocks and punches. The Flash is simply too light... The Prism with the classic rectangle 16 1/2" long paddle weighs closer to 8.4 oz and is even balanced. Kitchen game is so much better and this paddle still has put away power.

My paddles usually only last about a month because of my overheads. I'm playing at 4.0 level right now, are there any paddles that truly can withstand power? I have crushed Vatic V7, Diadem Warrior, Ace Spade twice (one after a week), Ace Club twice (one on the first day, other after a week), and my 6.0 DBD has minimal crushing after a few days. I have received replacements for my paddles (mostly) but I want something that can actually withstand my put-away power

I never felt paddle choice had much to do with TE until I made the switch to 360 wrapped thermoformed paddles back in April. I started to feel a little elbow discomfort but ignored it like an idiot. Then at Diamond Regionals it starts getting worse and worse and by the time the semi-finals rolled around I couldn't even hit a one-handed backhand block without a lot of pain. In over 35 years of racket sports and golf I'd never gotten tennis elbow from playing either. I'm now playing RCF paddles that are only edge foamed and it makes a huge difference for my elbow. I'm positive that extra stiffness of the 360 TF'ed paddles is what led to my TE.

The only thing you can’t really replicate at all off a drill wall is practicing against underspin. Everything comes back topspin. With a basket of balls practicing resets and hand battles are doable although not on the level of a practice partner. Although the wall will always keep up and have the last laugh.

Let me throw in a paddle review suggestion. Please review the Pickelball Apes Pro Line Energy. It has some new materials that separate it from the rest of the pack. Yeah I agree. I tried one… then ordered 3 that night. Got them last week. So much power, pop and spin. Better than DBD imo. They’re softer too so I’m not getting the reverberation up my arm which was giving me tendinitis. I had to put a full grip on top to increase the grip size, but apart from that, they feel like a rocket ship compared to the Selkirk I was using.

I have had several picklers try my set up, 2 switched from DBD and Selkirk Invicta, others upgraded to. I didn't care for the false measurements, as mine was shorter and narrower by 1/4"in both directions. Play well.

@@DaddyDinksAllDay Typically no. Popular tennis racquets often go on sale at the end of the season so you can buy two then. But selection isn't as great as spring/summer. End of the season is when the US Open happens which is now (last slam tournament). For PB, there isn't really a "season" that retailers can sync sales to AFAIK. I own a Lobster and used it to solve the problems I was having with dinking balls when playing against higher ranked players. I set the Lobster with back spin or with top spin and was able to significantly improve my game and safety on these shots.
It's cool when there are two of you, one playing and the other constantly refilling the balls. I use the ball machine from time to time to practice individual strokes in our training group. Two players can practice in turn. This can help identify specific problems with the players and give them tips that they can try to implement immediately.
But I definitely agree that a ball machine can't replace a good partner and to be honest, picking up the balls is a bit annoying. 😆
Also buying a Lobster without remote control and charger is quite cheap. Ordering with standard charger and standard remote control means nearly 50% more in price. When I saw the charger I recognized that it was not worth it...
