There are much deeper takeaways outside of paddles and media talk from this video. I lost my dad at 11, my brother at 42 and my Uncle from Alzheimers/dementia a few years ago. So sincere an interview showing how passionate and driven by good values are founders Chris Dickert and John Petty in making Legacy the premiere Pickleball Paddle for the whole family and not just the pros who wish they had one. Chris has so much empathy for those who struggle with mental illness and life’s challenges because he has experienced loss and tough challenges personally. Good on you to be so open and honest and transparent in your quest to make Legacy successful.

Wow, what a great interview. I talked to Chris early on when I first heard about Legacy and when the guy picked up, it was Chris. That just doesn't happen, no other owners have put them selves out there like Chris. Love his story, you can tell he is a great father, mentor and leader. Really looking forward to what he is bringing to the sport. He is single-handedly making these other big companies make better paddles. If they don't, Chris will have the market and it's quickly moving in that direction already. On a personal note I lost my dad 1.5yrs ago at 93 and now my mom has dementia. Its a struggle every day to find the will power to keep moving forward when your parent is slipping away right in front of your eyes. The feeling of hopeless is terrible. My heart goes out to Chris and his family and the Legacy family. I'm a supporter! Just got my paddle yesterday!

I am so glad I bought this paddle a few days ago. I’m almost glad I have to wait for my paddle because I know they are doing the work to make sure that paddle is one we can have faith in and not some cheap process.

Great interview! I ordered my paddle Jan 26, received it April 1. Chris kept us informed throughout. When the delamination and negative comments surfaced a few weeks back it had me 2nd guessing my choice. Thankfully Chris and others like Pickleball Studio addressed the issues. Thanks for being you!

@@buildingpickleball A good interview would have been asking him the tough questions as to specifically why customers are not receiving their paddles. Delay after delay our occurring and there is not any real information as to why. The follow-through from the company is subpar and leaving customers wondering.

Thank you for posting. I bought my Legacy Pro about six weeks ago mainly because of how the company took care of it's customers. IMO, there was some really fishy about PaddleGate 2. Some big-time dishonesty at PPA. And I think JOOLA had something to do with it.
One month later, zero transparency at USAPA and PPA.
Yeah, interesting how all this will play out.
Just what this country needs. Stand up guys. Hopefully Chris and John continue to succeed. I've ordered a couple legacy pros and gonna follow that up with 2 of their youth paddles.
Shoot I might buy a youth paddle just for myself.

So pleased I ordered a legacy pro in Jan and got it end of March. I haven't had an opportunity to play with it yet because I came down with covid. I had a bunch of time to worry about the delam issues and wondered if I had made the right decision. This post totally eased my mind and confirmed I made a good decision.

Legacy rocks! I bought one end of January, and got it a week or two ago. I switched to the Legacy pro from a Hyperion 16. There is a noticeable jump in power and spin! It freaking rocks. I don't have any trouble controlling it, and am loving it.

Thank you for the interview. We all keep hearing a lot of positive about Pro paddle. I am waiting for my order since February 5, 23 and didn’t lose hope to receive it in future. I am satisfied with Electrum E for now. With such fast speed of the modern paddle technology, I just wondering that Legacy Pro will be outdated soon and Legacy Pro S or another brand will be more advanced.
Yeah, that’s a good point. Not sure, but I do know there are still paddles being made that are not thermoforming so 🤷♂️

@@vladimirraykin880 yeah... good point, not sure either. Guess we're all rolling the dice on that one. They seem to be pretty advanced as far as I know and also releasing on a competitively low price point.
Just yesterday I was grouchy about Legacy Pro long waiting time. Coincidence? I received my paddle and played today! It is very high-quality paddle, power, spin, sweet spot. Please say thanks to Chris for his good work and spirit.

I’d recommend checking out the community posts on Reddit. There are posts with folks updating their Ordered & Received dates. I believe they just fulfilled most February orders.

Me and my friend ended up canceling our orders after delay after delay with no real information. Just generic emails. It's frustrates me to see a business put their customers on the back burner like this. Like you, me and my friend paid in full and waited months and got nothing. This is interesting to see how this is going to unfold for Legacy. Such a shame. What I've learned about companies that sell paddles, is they sell a bunch of pre-orders and then fill the orders with the money they received so they never have to carry inventory. That is what I believe is happening and why these delays continually occur. I don't think customers will ever really know what's going on.

The code isn't worth it when they won't ever send the paddle. Delays after delay. Sad. No real information forthcoming. Me and my friend cancelled our orders. Bummer.

If you actually received it and had a problem, then you would have an even worse time trying to return it. They will not refund in the 30 day trial period. There is no returns process setup- no place on the website to get a return authorization. No tracking of a return. The process is to just send an e-mail that they may or may not respond to. They will tell you that they have too many e-mails so they are too busy. Eventually they tell you to ship it to a home address, without an RMA and they will inspect it. What is there to inspect? It's supposed to be a no questions asked return policy that is used by every other online retailer or manufacturer. It is quite an unprofessional operation. A salesman getting sales by sharing sad personal stories is not something to be admired. Design a good paddle. Make sure it is reliable, meets USAP spec and doesn't change over time. If there is a problem, fix it fast with transparency. Take care of your customers. So many e-mails from this company saying how busy they are and there are only so many hours in the day, etc. If you contact them in social media, they respond in minutes.
