The box looks fantastic takes me right back to 1987
It’s really nice! I’d love to see this make a return for the mainline
So happy to find this guy today at a fleamarket while visiting my hometown for $25 still in package from the titans return line. As soon as you showed the loose head I knew which one I should go for. Thanks for helping us all out with these reviews!
I like how the actual bat wings fold into the legs and the toon batwings show in robot mode..pretty cool feature! I might get him; my best friend had him back in 87

Tugging on nostalgia. Own the JP version aka Legends. Fig would have been awesome if the wing materials were changed.

very tempting to re-purchase these TR Headmasters. i actually sold off all my headmasters both hasbro and takara tomy versions ages ago and i’m not sure i want to dip back into this hole...

@@PrimeVsPrime my dad was. He introduced me to transformers :D THE ORIGINAL 80's transformers and I'm so glad! I have the four seasons on DVD along with the movie :D

@@lordbrickmasterproductions3531 yeah my dad a few years ago got me G1 Reissue devastator, that was at 12 years old. I still love it to this day I'm 14 at the moment going on 15 with my love for transformers. ESPECIALLY G1!

I slept on Titans (like PvP) and I can’t wait to find these. I was introduced to the character from ROTF (still own it 😜) and have been intrigued ever since!

THAT'S A NEW BAT HEAD!!!! The original TR version had more of an organic head and wings, but the new head and wings are new molds I swear take a good look!!!

I love how the cockpit door on the bat stomach is sculpted to look like a coffin. So vampire-like!

Heres a fun way to store the weapons in bat mode. Plug the gun onto the outside of the claw cannon, then slide it onto the back, between the robot mode wings. Take the peg and push it into the lower gap on the back of the bat head, its soft rubbery plastic and will let it slide in, the friction will hold it in place. I can't say if it could cause damage in the long run, so do at your own risk, but it does look really good on it, and weapon storage, yay!
I’m going to have to pick some of these up, I started collecting transformers at the very end of Titans return
i just got one and I wish the bat head had a port on the back as the claw gun makes a good jet pack, luckily the space in the back of the head is big enough the make it work, but I wish it could be more secure

No way I want these so bad, The G1 packaging is like crack to me! I’ve got the originals, the boxes are so big and the figures were so bad and blocky lol
My Titan Returns copy of Mindwipe is still very tight in every joint. But I do missed Wolfwire, so I'm probably going to buy Wolfwire.
Every G1 classics needs to be in vintage G1 style box/pkg

just got him today from walmart. it looks alot better than the original mass release. i have a QC issue with him. he has two right feet lol so its time to get a hold of Hasbro. good review.

I just bought this yesterday in New Zealand....
Imma try looking for this guy.
This is a figure I was a little disappointed about missing the first time around, but now I'm worried about how expensive these will be. The past G1 box reissues have been Wal-Mart exclusives here in Canada which means you won't be able to get em cheaper through TRU sales, and a $40 deluxe is hard to justify.

If your wondering about these figures, they are supposed to be toy accurate figures, instead of comic or show accurate like the Titans Return version. The Headmasters will be the Takara mold they did more toy accurate figure when they released them in their markets. So basically, they are light recolours of the Takara figures to be more toy accurate compared to the original TR figures

How much bigger are these figures than the WFC line? I’ve heard they scale pretty close but I didn’t know how bad they stand out.
Technically these are the same size as the old Titans return and takara legends versions before they unified all the scales. These and the rest of the headmasters are deluxe class and in the new WFC scale they should all be voyagers. Here’s to hoping they remake these someday
i think i like the over all look of the original release. The head sculpt looks alot better unless they are going to an original headmaster look. the only thing i think this figure does better than the original is the inside of the bat wings in bat mode. looks alot better.

Was on the fence about these reissues since I have the TR and LG ones but the G1 style packaging definitely looks great. Ugh. So what's the retail price on these? I'm sure they are at least $20-$25, right?
I think it’s more $30 but not 100% certain

Every Titans Return Deluxe has a base mode. I learned this when I realized TR Highbrow’s chest folds down and is obviously meant for his TR to stand on. Perceptor has a great base mode too. It’s really fun to figure them out.
I hope the wings are more durable
They feel very durable!
Robot mode is nice and love that retro box but ugh, that bat head. Would have liked a more G1 style robotic looking bat head on this version. Think I'll stick with Mechfanstoys 'inspiration bat' mindwipe.

Mines head is ok no floppy but on a different head master does suffer from a bad neck hole so it don't fit right

Ugh all my transformers have been coming broken out of the box lately!!! What is that all about??? Literally spent 6 hours fixing my thrust figure.. his nosecone was broken out of box. The thing his head was tabbed in on wasn’t tabbed in on one side and the bar in front of it wasn’t tabbed in so I had to remove the cockpit and pry the nosecone enough to push them into place. What’s with hasbro and their figures being broke out of box!!!

Don't get me wrong. I like your vids and the transformer. But this is NOT a Reissue! Would love to have the OG Toy MIB or at least with the box. Remember seeing it in stores when I was young. Had to save my lunch money for a few months just to buy a Transformer I wanted. A lot of hungry days in school just to get 1 but it was worth even as a kid. I have collected Transformers on and off throughout the years. Hard hobby to have when your poor. Have over 100 on display and another 250+ unopen. Also having 2 copies of some figures. Either both unopened or 1 open & 1 not open. Sometimes I just can't help myself. lol. Even if it's a hard to find Transformer. As a kid Transformers really amazed me. Was like getting 2 or 3 or more toys in 1. Nothing was better than Transformers in the 80's. Not even video games which I have great memories of too. Thank you for your review. God Bless.

Just like you said,if you already got this mold there is no need to get it again.The retro box is cool but is not enough for me to change my old TR versions plus I liked it more the toy versions than the animation deco and heads.

That would fix some of my problems with earthrise, except that there are again almost no voyager autobots, or many good ones
My guess is that's what they'll do for the 40th anniversary in a few years. Sure, they could make all new molds, but they've put so much money and effort into these that I just can't see them going to the trouble of making brand new molds when these exist.
Mindwipe is by far my favorite Headmaster and I missed out on most of the Titans Return line so I'm definitely picking this guy up! I love the packaging but I feel like if they wanted to that, they should have reissued the original G1 figures like with others they've done lately. Nevertheless, this is by far the best figure of Mindwipe.
Ngl, While I prefer the RoTF Character more, this is a nice Design
