Great! Awesome vids. I couldn't help myself placing headmasters inside or outside so I place headmaster inside the cockpit while I used my primemasters on the weaoponary outside. Love these series very fun to play or photography with

Awesome! These definitely look fantastic! I just went through the 80 original G1 figures I have. Very shocked how good of condition my parents stored them. Each figure was in its own bag with the original spec card. It was a nice surprise

@@EDFCentral Yes definitely! My grandparents made my Dad sell off all of this sealed original Marvel Comics when he was a kid and they would have been worth millions now. So my parents really went out of their way to keep our stuff in good shape. Very nice of them and the Transformers were a big surprise on how well they were kept.
Btw, these are actually reissues of the Takara (Japanese) versions, so they are a little different from the Hasbro versions (most notably, Brainstorm's face).
I noticed that too...what's nice is they are half the price of the Takara versions at release. I preferred the "Headmasters" anime over "The Rebirth" anyway.
G1 chromedome was my first transformer when I was a kid
I will definitely pick these guys up, since I don't have any of them except for Skullcruncher from Titan Return. It's very disappointing that they are not reissues of the original G1 figures, since those figures are expensive on the after market. Maybe the went this route to be cheap and they probably don't have the original molds to produce actually reissues.
I am stoked for Fortress Maximus being reissued in 2024 so I can get him and have Cerebros

Nice to see them sporting the Headmasters anime faces...now they need to make the Headmaster Junior figures...I've been holding off on making custom bodies for the three that came with the Takara Ginrai box set, because I know as soon as I finish, they will be announced...

I got Mindwipe and Brainstorm at a local Target here in Australia today (for AU$29 a piece)!
I already have Chromedome and Hardhead from the Titans Return line.
I still have my old G1 versions of Brainstorm and Hardhead and those models are way different.
These look so cool in the boxes, I kinda wish we could get them here in Australia. Even though I already have all four characters, I wouldn't mind getting Brainstorm since I didn't get the Titans Return one because I already had the Generations version, although he's the wrong scale next to the others.
It’s a pass on this wave for me. I assume they saved money by using newer molds or repainted unused stock, but Titans Returns was only 2-3 years ago so that kills the nostalgic factor for me. I think it was a misstep. I had all the Headmaster episodes including VHS copies of the Japanese seasons that didn’t air in the U.S. I being ultra snobby in this take, but I would’ve preferred they went with slightly more popular Headmasters for the Autobots and went Targetmasters on the Deceptions.
I'm really hoping Walmart/Hasbro goes back to the original plans of reissuing the actual G1 figures, however dated they may seem now days, it's what most fans are after I believe.

I love the G1 packaging too. I'm not crazy about how much brown they use on the Transformers themselves. It looks so blah
i wish that hasbro didn't go for the japanese heads for brainstorm and chromedome.
I think this is the 1st time I got the toys before u did the review. I like chromedome the most, buddy.
I've looking for them in my area for weeks, and they finally appear to have arrived in my neck of the woods. Chromedome is my second favorite from this bunch next to Mindwipe
Found one thought to be in the wrong spot at $19.99. I assumed it was least $50 and passed on it. ha_
I saw all 4 of these at my wal mart and got excited till I saw they were Headmasters. The tank guy looked kinda cool but it was an easy pass. I was surprised you liked the bat. Transformers, to me, are robots that turn into vehicles. I will not be getting 80% of the Kingdom line due to all the beast war/animal modes. Nice to be able to check these out on your channel. Go Buccaneers!!!
Beast Wars was a miss for me, though a few of the designs I thought were cool, but as a whole it was not something I really enjoyed much as a kid. Maybe that was due to the CGI animation being used vs hand drawn at the time. I dunno what it is about Mindwipe and his bat mode, but I absolutely dig it. Purple color scheme is always something I'm a sucker for as well.
COOLTOY I agree with you on the cgi of beast wars. People say the storyline is really good but I'll never know because when it came out it looked like a show for babies. I'm enjoying the wfc line because they look like the g1 cartoon even more than the g1 toys did. (And I'm on a budget so masterpiece is not for me lol) enjoy the Big Game

I was really looking forward to getting the old G1 reissued from Walmart. Until I found out that these are reissue Titan master. You should be ashamed of yourselves Hasbro.

Only 1 decepticon for this bunch? Are they going to issue a wave 2 with more decepticon or are these all the headmaster ?
I've not seen or heard of any more of these coming for a wave 2 release
I cannot find these at any Walmart in my state. I really don't want to have to pay scalper prices but these are must-haves for me.
@Michael G For some reason, in the rare instances where these popped up on walmart.com (I missed them every time), they are charging way more for them online than they are in store. In the case of Chromedome, they were charging almost double. And I can confirm this is from Walmart directly, not a third party seller on the site.
My local Walmarts are also terrible when it comes to stocking most Transformers. And when they do get new ones, it's usually only 1 or 2 of each figure, which sell out fast. I happen to know there is at least one scalper in my area.
Agree with @Michael G these things are scarce at first for about a month or two, then they are pretty easy to find on store shelves after that.

Wawawait... ok so I was born in the mid 00’ so I don’t know much about the og transformers. Are these the original releases? They are as detailed as modern transformers but the “reissue” moniker confuses me. What is the origin of these guys? Sorry for my noobness
The packaging is recreated using the original box art from the 80s, how ever these figures are not from the same molds in the 80s but much newer figure releases repainted instead

3 Decepticons, 4 Autobots.
Chromedome, Hardhead, Highbrow, Brainstorm, Mindwipe, Skullcruncher, and Weirdwolf.
There were 5 Autobot Headmasters including Fortress, and 4 Decepticons including Scorponok.

This is not G1 at all, what is the next G1 reissue but real G1-anyone knows?
Well I was ready to get them until I found out they’re not actually reissues☹️.. so I’m gonna pass ,I got all the other ones that came out so far tho
It's definitely an odd choice that they would reissue the original figures and then suddenly just change it to repainting newer figures and repackaging them in G1 reissue boxes. Makes me wonder what future reissue releases will end up becoming.

They're technically US releases of the Takara versions with new packaging...they have anime accurate coloring and the headmasters have better paint apps and the anime accurate faces, unlike the Titans return releases.
