Same feeling having all 3 of the con Headmasters together again. Only had Weirdwolf as a kid for the cons and liked that fig back then but this update looks good.
Have heard of breakage issues on the cockpit canopy. No issues on my end yet.

You know what I like about this one? He's called Weirdwolf, just like you said. Not that stupid Wolfwire, which doesn't even make any kind of sense. Honestly though I like Wolfwire's head a bit more, but again these are supposed to look like the Japanese versions so I have both and I'm happy with them even if it's a slight recolor and a slight head resculpt. Getting all the Japanese TF series is on my list.

It’s so funny cuz I just got him today and my very first thought about his look and that cockpit was exactly as you said, “Zoids”. It just screams it to me. I love zoids and I love this figure so much that I don’t even wanna mention what I passed up at Walmart to get it instead.

Epic review Bert The Stormtrooper, it's fantastic how much the new paint job and face sculpt makes Weirdwolf look like he jumped off the screen of the G1 cartoon. I hope we get Apeface and Snapdragon in this line.

I just got my reissue of weird wolf in the Retro box from BigBadToyStore 2 days ago. Was wondering if they've improved the cockpit. The original one that I bought on the blister card had issues with the cockpit it got brittle and sides of the frame broke. Did they improve the plastic quality on this one?
Unfortunately I never got the first release of this so I wouldn't know, sorry.

I got this today randomly in a sale; love him, but finding it a pain to make the head stay on. Slightest movement and it just flies off. Could have done with a slightly tighter clip-fit.

I hope they continue the G1 reissue with the Targetmasters. I know a lot of collectors who missed Slugslinger and Misfire in their blink and you'll miss it last of the Titans Return wave.

Trademark Issues with the names. hasbro lost monzo too Well look how long they have not used it. Years. They did manage to get the names back to weirdwolf & Skullcruncher since Titans return. bet you that is why they reissued these I do remember too Back in 2004/2005 Shockwave was shockblast. But in 2005, Hasbro was able to get shockwave back. to use it & keep it secured. They slapped it on a mini con 2 pack figures. Still Funny though they had fireflight seccured & they were using it. But I am not Sure what happened after 2009. They lost it. I did hear trademarks do not last forever. I did hear too Even Disney did create mickey mouse it is a possiblity they can loose it.I do know that is why they just changed one letter too in Monxo. like in beast wars the terrorsaur repaint was suppose to be Laserbeak. But the name was not availiable at the time. So they did Lazorbeak instead. So many names they lost & got back Like Shockwave, Bluestreak, Trailbreaker. OH I do know for a fact right now Mattel Owns the rights to the Tantrum trademark. they use it in hot wheels line. Common words Like Tracks & Hook need something added to it now these days.

You didn’t address the cockpit breaking in the TR one/ I knew a couple people whose wolfwire broke in the same spot
I never had the TR version, no need to address something on a figure that I have never owned and is not the subject of this review.
